Did someone say plant based croissants? Yup! That is right! 100% vegan croissant in Montreal! One of the best in the city and it didn't disappoint. Croissant croissant is a gem! We really enjoy our treats. It was delicious. I don't think the average person can distinguish the difference! Staff are kind and helpful.

I had a cheese croissant which was ok. The croissant look like bread not so flaky. The coffee was acid and cold. They were kind and the place is clean. The 3 stars is for the person who works there.

There's just nothing quite like a chocolate filled fresh croissant from a place that's named after the famous French pastry. You can both see and taste the amazing buttery flakes of the croissant dough. It's so fresh and goes perfectly with their fresh brewed coffee. I came here after a long weekend of eating in Montreal and it did not disappoint. A great pitstop for travelers looking to get the best of montreal bake shops and regulars to sit and enjoy their morning coffee. They also had quiches that I'll be anxious to try next time I visit Montreal!

A lovely coffeeshop on the plateau. I love their name Croissant Croissant; it's sounds so European. The shop is small and adorable. The staff are very perky and super friendly. The service is efficient and quick. We ordered a cold latte and an almond croissant. Latte was excellent but the croissant was tasting a bit old. The prices were reasonable. I think if you come early in the morning, then the pastries would have been more fresh.

Delicious delicious! On a long weekend Sunday morning, I ventured over the Croissant Croissant for some pastry goodness. I ordered an Almond Chocolate Croissant. The outside was crispy and crunchy yet the inside was some and creamy. I believe it had an almond paste instead. Honestly so perfect. So buttery and flaky! Highly recommend. COVID: only 3 people indoors at one point and masks must be worn.

I've always wanted to get here, they make the most amazing pastries and they also make vegan croissants that are sent to many other cafes in Montreal. I tried their chocolatine with a milkadamia latte and it was nice and flaky and soft inside with the perfect amount of chocolate! They also had vegan croissants, vegan brioche and vegan muffins, so you don't feel left out at all as a vegan there. I could also use my reusable cup, extra points for being eco friendly, not many places are! Definitely take a look at their coffee merch, they're high quality.

I came to Montreal for New Year's 2022 in the hope of finding brilliant croissant. I hoped a place that had croissant twice in their name would take laminated pastry as seriously as I do. Unfortunately the croissant au beurre at Croissant Croissant were disappointing. A moderate shatter gave way to a dry interior with a poor butter flour ratio and not much hint of malt. 4.25 out of 10 on my personal likert-type rating scale. Not much better than a typical American coffee shop croissant. I expected more from French Canada.

Guys i am pausing my long weekend break to come and report to my fellow yelpers about the promiseland of croissants. If this isn't love, then I don't know what is. We went to Christian Maison Faure, O+G, Pâtisserie Au Kouign-Amann, Pâtisserie Rhubarbe, Fous Pâtisserie, and croissant croissant. We unanimously agreed our buttery flaky treats here were the best by far. I am not a big fan of chocolate(i am more of a lemon dessert fan) but this had a nice balance of almond paste and chocolate filling. The filling wasn't overly sweet and the croissant was as flaky as it was crunchy. The latte was great too! I am not sure how well known this place is but wanted to make sure that as the ambassador of butter, i have done my due diligence in spreading the word about this place.

We noticed the 5 star reviews at Croissant Croissant and decided to stop by for a coffee and pastry. We ordered a small late (which was large for my standards!), a cappuccino and a macchiato and all our coffees were excellent. All their pastries looked fantastic but the abricotine, the raspberry Danish and Banana chocolatine caught our eye! They were really good, the puff pastry was flaky and buttery and the fillings were packed with flavor. We enjoyed the pastries so much that we ordered one more before leaving, the Mirabelle (a type of plum). I've never seen a Mirabelle pastry and it was excellent. Lovely café! Line Moves quickly, service was excellent and even though there are just a few tables their is a fairly quick turnover.

Tucked away on the upper east-end of Mont Royal, this cosy little café has very little seating and minimal décor but overall, this little shop is amazing! Besides coffee, the cafe sell sandwiches, quiches, and salads, as well as a variety of baked goods including, like the name implies, croissants. On my last visit, I purchased a tall latte and croissant for a total of 5.50$, which is wayyy inexpensive compared to other spots on swanky Plateau! The coffee was perfection; flavorful and rich, and I really enjoyed the little heart as coffee art ;) After last night's carb fiasco, I donated my croissant to a coworker, who described the croissant as flaky and buttery good (I only bought it cause you need a minimal 5$ for debit). Service was very friendly and I love the fidelity card program to boot! I think I found my got-to coffee shop near work, yeah!

The smell says it all even before you walk in. Deliciously crispy butter croissants in all variations. You can not only smell but also see that they're freshly baked since the bakery in the back has large glass windows and you can watch the bakers in action. If you want to sit in, don't expect majorly comfortable seating. It's set out to be a take-away cafe/bakery that also has four square tables and a few high seats by the window and in the back. Feel free to bring your laptop and do some work whilst sipping a cup of Kusmi tea though.

This place was hands down a highlight of my Montréal food scene experience. The shop itself is very cute and cozy, with just two small tables by the window and a few chairs. The décor is simple, and so are your choices, which honestly works in their favor. When you step inside, you get a direct view of the bakers working their magic, which makes the experience even better. We ordered a hot chocolate, plain croissants, chocolate croissants, and a slice of the Kouign‑Amann. If you like a dark, rich hot chocolate that's not overly sweet, look no further, this is the place. As for the croissants, both the plain and chocolate versions were good but fairly standard. However, the real star was the Kouign‑Amann. It was served warm, perfectly crispy, and had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It was so good that when I finished my slice, I went back to the counter hoping for more but they were sold out. To be fair, I arrived around 2pm and they close at 3pm. Despite that, the line moved quickly, and the staff were some of the sweetest people ever. My only regret? I only bought one slice. I'd highly recommend this place, but make sure you get there early if you want to snag a slice of Kouign‑Amann before they sell out.

We both had a "tranche" /slice /portion of the flaky pastry originating from Brittany. While it does not look like the Kouign Amanns I've had before, it definitely tasted fabulous. We were not the only ones who thought so. While we ate our bounty at one of the two open tables, we saw person after person purchase whole galettes, possibly for an upcoming family gathering. The pastry had a sweet and crunchy crust and a buttery interior. Here, it does not resemble a croissant. Instead, the layers of dough were softer than the typical honeycomb structure of a croissant. Speaking of which, my sister also recommends the croissants here, which she used to have regularly when the shop was open more frequently.

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.

The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. I may return to try another item. Maybe at one of their other locations. Review #16 (2025)

There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice.
