Step into this place without planning. I was in the area at around 6am and saw this place so decided to go for a coffee. To my surprise, it was an excellent bakery. So I bought a very good cappuccino with an eclair. Very good pastry. I also took to go a normal chocolatine and a vegan chocolatine. When I reached home, I ate those, couldn't tell which one was the vegan one, very good both of them. This place is definitely very good and it is worth stopping by to try their products.

I wish I had found this place before my last day in Montreal! The bread looked delicious, but I just grabbed two pastries for breakfast. The pistachio croissant was so good--flaky and filled with a sweet, nutty filling. I liked it better than the traditional almond croissants. The cheddar croissant was flaky and buttery too, but since it was cold, the cheddar kind of congealed at the bottom. I would suggest one of the other cheeses for a savory option. Definitely stop in!

Coffee and croissant! !

Wow, the perfect little bakery and coffee shop! We rented a condo in the area and as I always do, I was in search for a local café to get espresso at. This place did NOT disappoint! They have a variety of coffees, pastries, INSANELY good croissants and killer customer service. I just had a small croissant and mocha every day I was there, but it was pure bliss. You could tell it was a local favorite as every person that seemed to come in was greeted with familiarity and treated like a local. Definitelty a great place to get coffee and breakfast. They did also have some great looking breakfast sandwiches which i'll try on my next trip.

A grand selection of breakfast foods, as well as a wide variety of vegan food (including vegan croissants, and vegan danishes). The service is great and they bring you your food which I'm not used to in a coffee shop. It is quite small and gets busy so be ready not to find somewhere to sit. As for their coffee, it was just okay. I found it to be quite bitter and not as smooth as I would've liked it. Nevertheless, I do still recommend checking this place out. I've never seen vegan danishes and croissants before, so thank you for blowing my mind!!!

Located right on the corner of Papineau and Ontario, La Fabrique Arhoma is a cute bakery and boulangerie. I went there for lunch and had: - Grilled cheese with Apple slices on Multi grain/nuts bread - with my combo came a salad, Shrimp and Citrus Salad - and Abricot et Mousse aux Noisettes avec centre Praliné - limited edition Valentine's day cake I would definitely go back: To buy more pastries - they have other very interesting mixes For a loaf of pain artisanal Fabrique Arhoma is best for: A quick date as the place is quite small - solo or by 2 Grabbing snacks before hitting the bridge's traffic Full review: http://seizonal.com/2015/03/08/cake-for-1-on-valentines-day-from-fabrique-arhoma/

This place was hands down a highlight of my Montréal food scene experience. The shop itself is very cute and cozy, with just two small tables by the window and a few chairs. The décor is simple, and so are your choices, which honestly works in their favor. When you step inside, you get a direct view of the bakers working their magic, which makes the experience even better. We ordered a hot chocolate, plain croissants, chocolate croissants, and a slice of the Kouign‑Amann. If you like a dark, rich hot chocolate that's not overly sweet, look no further, this is the place. As for the croissants, both the plain and chocolate versions were good but fairly standard. However, the real star was the Kouign‑Amann. It was served warm, perfectly crispy, and had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It was so good that when I finished my slice, I went back to the counter hoping for more but they were sold out. To be fair, I arrived around 2pm and they close at 3pm. Despite that, the line moved quickly, and the staff were some of the sweetest people ever. My only regret? I only bought one slice. I'd highly recommend this place, but make sure you get there early if you want to snag a slice of Kouign‑Amann before they sell out.

We both had a "tranche" /slice /portion of the flaky pastry originating from Brittany. While it does not look like the Kouign Amanns I've had before, it definitely tasted fabulous. We were not the only ones who thought so. While we ate our bounty at one of the two open tables, we saw person after person purchase whole galettes, possibly for an upcoming family gathering. The pastry had a sweet and crunchy crust and a buttery interior. Here, it does not resemble a croissant. Instead, the layers of dough were softer than the typical honeycomb structure of a croissant. Speaking of which, my sister also recommends the croissants here, which she used to have regularly when the shop was open more frequently.

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.

I couldn't finish the Egg on Your Face, so I had the rest for lunch (it was almost as good cold!). But it was DELICIOUS. Everything was really tasty and the croissants are so flaky. The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. I may return to try another item. Maybe at one of their other locations. Review #16 (2025)

While in Miami last year, my husband, mother-in-law and I became big fans of the Rosetta on lower Collins Ave and then once they opened the one by Lincoln Center in NYC, we began to visit that one often since it's walking distance. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
