Such a cute and tidy shop, tons of cheese, bread, and sweets. They were very kind to help us as we tried to speak French, they also spoke some English when we didn't understand a few words, so we made it work! Looking forward to going back tomorrow for petit déjeuner. The baguettes are so good read more

Arhoma is a treasure in Hochelag! From croissants to decadent desserts, every bite feels like a little piece of heaven. The fresh bread and sandwiches are equally great, making it a great spot for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon treat. Great outdoor seating available when warmer weather permits. read more

Arhoma - Bakeries Near Me - Montreal, Quebec

On holiday in Hochelaga, Montreal, we got coffees/lattes and various pastries everyday. One was better than the last. However my favorite was the pistachio croissant. Never had anything like it. It was light and flaky and obviously had almost no calories. However it was all worth it. read more

love the courtyard out front, cheeses are excellent and of course the baguettes are fantastic. go here whenever you can!

Excellent selection of breads, baked goods, cheeses, jams, and meat offering such as terrines. I purchased a goat cheese with ciboulette here which was not the greatest alone but tasted much better melted in an omelette. I also purchased a maple and apple cider vinegar product of QC that promised to be amazing but the was rather lacking in maple flavor. It was also $13.95 which I think is the most I've ever paid for a vinegar! Although I maybe didn't select the best items, the selection is so incredible and many things looked super good. I wish we had more time to stay in MTL so I could sample more from this store. I'd definitely check back here if in the area. read more

If you are visiting the Hochelaga district in Montréal you can find the elements of a nice québécois picnic lunch. A baguette is the starting point, for "le pain et ses cómplices", various delicious local cheeses, cured meats such as slices of capiccollo sausage or jambon, some variety of fatty concoction such as terrine and duck rillettes, and a good local wine or cidre at a nearby shop, and you can eat like royalty, at a very reasonable price. read more

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? The bread is amazing; the cheese and meat counter offer an eclectic selection of goods, and you can spend hours perusing this place, and still find something delicious on the shelves. I usually stop in for a ready-to-eat sandwich which can be warmed on site if you're looking for a quick lunch. The flavours are bold and creative, and the sandwiches are always fresh and made with quality ingredients; worth the average 8$. What I really love about this place is their baked goods. From their pastries to their cakes, it's hard to choose! I opted for their chocolate brownie today which is huge! It's soft but crumbly and filled with huge walnuts; it's just amazing! I often order my cakes from here too; if you have a chance to order one of their annual Christmas logs, do not hesitate! read more

+ THE place to go for fresh crushy croissant, and many more. Home made bakeries and other sweet little bites. Home made bread, sandwiches, soup. They also have good coffee and cheese counter. They offer a large selection of quebec products. They have everything you can think of! Love it! My favourite place for croissant, and quick tasty breakfast and lunches. My boyfriend was never a fan of croissant and since he tasted Ahroma he keeps asking to buy more and pass by again and again. He's addicted now!! Highly recommend over any other similar places or popular chain. This place is the place to go - However, a bit pricey but quality is there so its understandable. Also be aware of the expiration date on some products before buying as they seem to not check it often. read more

Wonderful spot in Hochelaga! The staff were all friendly and it has a cozy feel to it. Good bread selection. I chose the Belge loaf and it was very delicious, highly recommend. I also purchased the brownie because it was recommended. Thick brownie with walnuts- yummy but not worth the $3+ Definitely will buy bread here frequently and must try the croissant soon! Très bonne boulangerie à HOMA. J'aime beaucoup leur pain. J'ai pris le pain Belge et aussi leur brownie. Les deux étaient bon sauf que je trouve le prix pour un brownie c'est un peu chère... read more

Enjoyed a ham, egg, and cheese croissant for a late breakfast. The croissant was super flaky and delicious! Picked up an almond cake to go and that was lovely as well. Delicious bread, pastries, and lattes. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of other foods available including a cheese counter.

The manager was arrogant, aggressive and unprofessional and told us "this is our service, if you don't like it, go to another business". Our goal was to support the small local businesses, but this kind of behavior changed our minds. What a bad service that deserves a zero ! read more

When you have a coffee outside your house you want your experience to be one that elevates not only your tastebuds but your entire day, this place kind of does that. A simple coffee that isn't too expensive, home made baked goods that are restaurant quality and a feeling that you are paying for a coffee better than the one you can make at home. You really can't get that at the chain coffee shops, not these days. Community based I would say it's better than most coffee shops in Old Montreal, try the chocolate brownie or pain au chocolat with a cup of hand pressed coffee, it's worth your $5. read more

The food is amazing, but I'm sorry I had really bad customer service and I was very nice about it I brought it up to the attention of the director and she was very close minded and didn't want to take any fault or even consider it could have been their fault (a 15%off was supposed to be taken of my online order and didn't passed, also they had false advertising and leading to ambiguous way to deal with their deals) anyway she started being petty verbally too so yeah I'm sorry but they need new managers. read more

While traveling with friends and it being my first time in Montreal, I have to say that if you are looking for an authentic french feeling bakery this is THE place you have to check out. I would highly recommend the croissant because they were amazing (the chocolate ones are even better). Everything was so fresh and you can tell it was made daily. There was plenty of variety of sandwiches and baked goods to choose from. What I also loved is not only is there an area for baked good but a section for fresh breads and cheeses and meats. There is something for everyone in this cozy cafe to try. The coffee was just as good as the food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, since my french is still stuck in the 10th grade where I stopped learning it, they were more then happy to talk to me in English. This was an every day stop to grab our morning coffee and a bite for breakfast before we started on our travels for the day. It was obvious that this is a spot loved by the locals as well. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area, you won't regret it. read more

If you're on your way to the botanical gardens, then stop by here quickly for some of the most delicious Croissants I've ever had for a nice energy boost. I found this place on yelp and was initially skeptical of the raving reviews, especially during the long walk from the Botanical Gardens down the street. But once I got here, I can tell quickly that the journey was well worth it! The bakery shop is separated into 3 parts: an outdoor seating area, an indoor cheese emporium, and an indoor bakery. While I may not be a cheese expert, the sweet scent of the baked French breads cannot be mistaken. I tried both the butter Croissants and the unique pistachio croissants and they were absolutely phenomenal (I preferred the butter croissant, but I'm a traditionalist). The staff were also very friendly and served some of the best coffee I've had as well (black, no sugar). Overall, this place was worth the walk and the exploration and a definite place to visit if you're around the area. Food: 5 stars Price: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Service: 4 stars read more

Great little lunch place - interesting sandwiches and amazing desserts and treats! Will definitely go again!

I'm basically copying my review of La Fabrique Arhoma. Location: In Place Valois, on Ontario Est... I drove so can't say what subway stop is close-by. Street parking is available but there's a lot of construction in the area so it's a sh*t show. The place: This space is much bigger than La Fabrique, with the bread section on one side and the rest of the goodies on the other. They also had cheeses and sandwiches. This is a pick-up joint so you can't sit down and eat your goodies. The goods: I first discovered Arhoma through Lufa, when I ordered a basic white loaf of bread. Holy crap, do these guys make good bread! The loaf has a great consistency and is super tasty. I like a hint of saltiness in my bread and this one totally delivered. A friend of mine swears by their baguettes - I haven't tried them but I'm confident that they rock. I stopped in last weekend because I needed a pick-me-up from walking around, hunting for street art all day. I decided to go for the pistachio chocolatine, which, by the way, is enormous. I guess I lucked out because when I started picking at it, it still had a hint of warmth to it, and the chocolate was all melty. The chocolatine was super, super moist and literally melted in my mouth. I mean, it was impossible not to have a mouthgasm while I ate this thing. Because it was so big, I ate half right away and saved the rest for later. I've also tried their chocolate lava cakes and it's equally delicious. What I like is that the chocolate is not too rich, so you can totally eat the whole thing in one sitting. I wouldn't share, if I were you. On this visit, I tried a brownie. It was incredibly chocolatey and dense - I ate half and saved the rest for later. Lastly, if you see the pistachio/rhubarb bread, go for it. It's amazing! Service: OK. Price point: Pretty good. You can get a great loaf of bread for under $4, the chocolatine and brownie were about $3 each. These guys are top notch in terms of using quality ingredients. Check it! read more

Very unpleasant experience with a bald guy who wears glasses (he was at a coffee station) on March 27th around 11am. We came to Arhoma to buy a couple of sandwiches and chocolates and, while we were waiting for our order - way farther than two meters from the counter with no people around us and no line - the bold guy with a poor attitude asked us to move farther and hang with all the customers waiting for their orders. He was VERY unprofessional and rude and I told him about it - he didn't care. Needless to say he didn't apologize. We had to wait with four other customers being so close to them which is now against the rules and he literally had put us in danger. I will also be filing an official complaint at the government level as this person needs to be trained and supervised. An apology would also be nice to get. Before that, I'm not coming back not recommending going there - you're not safe at Arhoma! read more

Went there twice for breakfast on our visit to Montreal initial based on the recommendations from our AirBnB host. Very fresh pastries and outstanding coffee. The sandwiches looked appetizing as well, and co-located with the cafe is a small shop selling bread and cheese. read more

Was here in July 2012. I was a great neighborhood find. Amazing freshly-made pastries...forget what you know about almond croissants and go for the pistachio - the best when fresh outta the oven. The other side of the store is a gourmet market with fresh cheeses and such. Good for breakfast and lunch or just a little caffeine. I believe the closest subway stop is Joliette. You will wish you had such a nice cafe in your own hood. read more

Been to this Hochelaga gem a couple of times now. If I lived closer, I would be a regular. Their pistachio croissants are ridiculously good. Their baguettes are great too. I haven't tried their sandwiches, but they look tasty and seem like to be good value for the money. I had a pretty good coffee here, and the service was as friendly as it gets. If you're heading up to check out Value Village, do yourself a favor and swing by this place on the way home. You won't regret it. read more

The food is delicious. We ordered two sandwiches and hot chocolate and they were really nice. Good service and fast.

We visited Montreal for several days and visited many bakeries during our stay. This one ranks near the top. We tried an assortment of pastries with friends and everyone loved them. The standout was a raspberry, pistachio, cheese cake one that had just the right amounts of crust, creme and glaze. We bought a bunch of croissant, chocolatines (some with pistachio) and pains au raisins to take back to the US. We should have purchased more, because they are now all gone within 1 day. read more

I walked past this place a number of times before realizing it was a boulangerie as the sign makes it look like it might be a designer furniture store or something, but when I realized what it was and tried their croissants, I was sold. They are open at six in the morning and have fresh, buttery, fluffy croissants coming on trays out of the oven all day. Best croissants in Montreal! Make sure you try the one with blue cheese. Their coffees are good too, and fairly priced. read more

Their pistachio croissants are the best! Plus, their bakery attached to their fromagerie!

Bought their pecan/cranberry bread, it's really good. My sister bought their sourdough baguette, and she was pleased as well. She's quite the picky coffee/bread/food person, so I guess this was something to hear from her. I have to add she's an excellent cook/baker so I suppose the pickiness comes with that. Nice little square to sit & enjoy your coffee/pastry/croissant etc , go for a stroll in Ontario Village afterwards. read more

Just what we needed, two blocks from the apartment where we were staying. Great coffees. Morning pastries....the 'apricotine' was exceptional, as was the 'croissant nature.' Very nice bakery/cafe with excellent sandwiches and pastries. We enjoyed breakfast here--a croissant sandwich with eggs, brie and ham makes your average American cafe pale by comparison.
