I have to say after dealing with cricket and my awesome credit card company. Always use a credit card as you have more protection as a buyer and my documentation of names and times and date. I initiated a chargeback via my credit card since they would not follow the cricket return policy on the receipt of seven days. I'm very happy with the cricket service as a whole but I wanted to thank the store that I won the charge back and got a free first month service and a phone so I wanted to say thank you space tel. Great value for me. First month service and a free phone. I have added additional lines and did it online. Way cheaper don't try and add things you don't need and easier overall. Only bad thing is if you need a phone immediately then the store is your only option. read more

Walked into the store and was immediately greeted! The store looked very neat and stocked up. Was helped by a young lady who was very knowledgeable. Was interested in purchasing an iPhone XR, didn't know about the current promo but she offered to me nonetheless iPhone XR for $250 when I switched which was super sweet! Was thinking about paying it upfront since I didn't know I had options and she went above and beyond showing me all the choices I had an explained their progressive leasing program which offers 3 months no interest basically same as cash! so I was able to leave the store with only paying a small down payment of $50 (plus I got to lease my accessories)!! and just paid my service and activation fee but after the excellent service I received I didn't mind paying the small one time fee, they helped me transfer my stuff and I left super happy. They also showed me that if I like the service I can refer my friends and get $25 for each one that switches SO COOL! I've had cricket for few years now I have 5 lines. Needed another one and walked in asked for the cheapest $30 deal and young girl there (untrained) apparently told me I would have to get th $40 dollar the first month. I asked why is it advertised if I can't get it she said her manager rules! okay! I was on lunch so I needed to be out quick she asked me if I wanted protection plan I said NO SHE Than tells me my price after all fees. I pay than have me the receipt I look at it and realize she had charged me for the protection plan. I bring it to get attention and she gets in her computer and tells me ok all done you should have a credit on your account. Did iii NOOO! I called cricket they had no explanation to why I wasn't allowed to get $30 dollar plan and worst she charged me for something I didn't want and didn't do the refund. They're nit trained well and they act like signing me up for $40 inbred of $30 is going to put more money in their pocket. Terrible customer service! read more

I had always loved Cricket since I first opened my account in 2013. Until this week. I wish I could give ZERO stars or a deficit of stars after dealing with customer "service." My husband dropped his phone in water on a fishing trip and needed to use a phone we already had. After calling customer service to check compatibility, they said it was compatible so he went to the closest cricket store and paid. $85 CASH to unsuspend his account and confirm the phone would work with the SIM he already had. He accidentally took the wrong phone with him but was assured his account was good to go and called me from his friend's phone to ask if I'd received a confirmation text on the replacement device. I checked and gave the confirmation info and he was told he was good to go. When he returned home, the phone wouldn't make or receive calls. He called cricket from my phone and was told the phone is NOT compatible. He explained the importance of having his own account with his name on it as a requirement to be able to verify his identity with EDD so he could receive his unemployment money. The rep said he was eligible for an upgrade or a basic free phone. He returned to cricket the next morning and was denied any phone unless he bought another phone, which was never mentioned by customer service...he then asked to have the money back that he paid the night before so he could accept a friend's offer to give him a phone from metropcs but needed the money he paid cricket to have it turned on. Cricket refused to refund the money. PERIOD. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CRICKET'S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE?? Since WHEN did STEALING from CUSTOMERS become OK? WHAT HAPPENED to the "SERVICE" in CUSTOMER SERVICE? REALLY, CRICKET? THIS is NOT how LOYAL CUSTOMERS should be treated! I have closed all accounts and have changed carriers.
