Damaged screen after repair.
Andrew V.

Dishonest and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I took my phone here after falling in a pool for 3 seconds. I have an iPhone 12 pro max. FaceID stopped working and there was a little bit of condensation I could see in the cameras so I took it in to have it dried out and looked at. When I received my phone back FaceID still didn't work which was fine because everything else did and I plan on getting the 14 when it is released. Between the shop and my house (20 minutes) a bright line appeared on the screen. I explained this to them and they said "It wouldn't be from the water since the water was gone when it happened." After looking at it again the next day they proceeded to blame me and say "you must have damaged it between leaving here and getting home." Unwilling to accept responsibility they wanted another $209 on top of the $130 I paid for the initial repair. Amazing right? Some other unprofessional notes were not answering their phone for an hour and not operating within business hours forcing me to wait outside in 100 degree heat until someone answered the door when we agreed on a specific drop off time. .

Enrique did an amazing job fixing my screen!

I dropped my iPad 4th generation, shattering the glass. I moment I called Enrique at Tech Sabe, I felt at ease. He made the experience easy. I'll definitely be back again for all of my mac needs. Made a lot of phone calls to many of the other repair shop without response. Especially, In and Out Repair. I waited for 30 minutes in front of their store, then called, but they didn't answer.

My old busted screen.

So about a year ago, I FedExed my…read morePC tower to my new apartment in California and long story short, all of the data on my 3 external hard drives installed were wiped clean. With no way for me to recover the data all by myself, I scoured for all of the data recovery services and this business was the most HONEST. With alot of data services, NOT promising to restore all or any of the data I lost despite paying for them, I turned to this WONDERFUL establishment and even tho my hard drive data was too corrupted to recover everything, they gave me a fair price for what they were able to recover and save and I was able to figure out what I had to do then. This business was really detrimental for us in forming an opinion on the many business in Cali and I have to say I was just really taken aback by how HARD, HONEST, SENSITIVE, DETERMINED and DEDICATED Ceo Bryan Wu was with explaining the whole process to me and working with me on coming to a price for what was recovered having just moved here and not having any employment yet. He understood how much the data was to me and how it was irreplaceable in terms of all of my work being unrecoverable. BUT he did everything that they could do and charged me for only what was in a 100 percent integrity. These guys are the amazing at what they do and should be THE place for all of your computer data and backup needs.

Next thing I know, I got a call about recovery data from my hard drive for $1000! On top of that, I got chared a $45 diagnostic fee. Are you kidding me?! So I went back there to grab my stuff, and decided to see if they can lower the price. I started to talk to the owner (chinese guy named Brian or Ryan) about my problem. He was a slick talker (must of been a salesman) and started going on and on about scratching noises. Of course, not knowing anything about computers, I said yes. The data recovery took over 2 weeks and I got nothing! I took matters into my own hands and did some research online. I went and bought a SATA to USB drive. I plugged the hard drive to the SATA to USB drive, plugged the USB to my computer, and made it my secondary drive. All my data showed up! My recommendation: if all else fails and you have to go there, watch out for the owner Brian or Ryan. Don't let him fool you into purchasing over priced services you don't need. Watch them diagnose your hard drive first before you make any final decisions. I GOT RIPPED OFF!!! These are their prices. It is better to make inform decisions than get ripped off! http://www.nodata-nocharge.com/DataRecovery_PricingGuide.asp?submenu=1

Honest, Skilled, and Affordable Highly Recommend Manny!…read more Manny is fantastic fast, patient, and incredibly helpful. I spent two weeks going back and forth, shopping around, and getting diagnostics from big-name shops and local repair places. While many were friendly and offered free diagnostics, the larger chains quoted prices that were nearly the cost of buying a new laptop altogether. My MSI GE76 Raider had a completely detached screen and a failing battery. Manny not only handled the full repair but did so within my budget, even going above and beyond to help. He used OEM parts no shortcuts or cheap knockoffs and the quality of the repair speaks for itself. Don't expect a glitzy storefront; the work is done right out of his garage workshop but honestly, that's all you need if you want a reliable repair without paying an arm and a leg. Manny delivers high-quality service, fair pricing, and real care in his work. Give him a shot--you'll be glad you did.

I switched to my laptop and after about 10 days, my clients were unable to see or hear me. Needless to say, I was beginning to panic. I tried to fix it using the instructions offered by the computer but was unsuccessful in getting it to work. I went to YELP and found Manny. He will either come to your home or office or you can take your computer to him. I chose the latter. It was a lovely Friday morning and the drive was pleasant. I had not been in that part of Elk Grove before - lots of small farms. Manny is set up to work in his garage and was waiting for me when I arrived. I explained the problem to him and quickly recognized what was causing the problem. After about 20 minutes I was up and running and he made the other adjustments that I requested. I paid him using Venmo and was on my way. I am a very satisfied customer and will return to him for any future computer problems I may encounter. Thanks Manny.

They took the time to diagnose the problem, explained everything clearly, and repaired my phone for much less than Apple's quote. The communication was honest, professional, and straightforward the whole time. They even applied the diagnostic fee toward the repair, which I really appreciated. I wanted to share my experience and concerns regarding my data recovery evaluation. I am not…read moresomeone who typically writes negative reviews. I'm about uplifting local businesses. However, because I work in the technology field, I felt it was important to share my experience after taking the time to look further into the situation and to help others going through a similar situation. Initially, I did not jump to conclusions. Instead, I sought additional opinions from other professional recovery companies to better understand available options. That's most important. Before posting this review, I reached out directly to Emergency Guy to give them an opportunity to address my concerns and provide clarification. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response. I came to Emergency Guy seeking guidance after experiencing issues with my HDD and SSD. Overall, the staff and technicians were respectful. However, I did have one interaction with an individual staff member who appeared overwhelmed and frustrated - possibly the owner, Phillip? While that affected the tone of that particular interaction, I understand that these situations can happen. It did not deter me from my overall experience, as I continued working with other staff members who were professional and helped improve the overall tone of the communication. I paidfor an evaluation and assessment, including shipping costs. During a follow-up phone conversation, I was asked over the phone whether I would consider increasing my budget to approximately $2,000 so the HDD could be sent to another company. While I was open to discussing available options, I ultimately decided not to proceed. Approximately four weeks later or longer, I was informed that the HDD platters were damaged and that there was essentially no realistic chance of recovering my data, even through another recovery provider. I was also asked whether I wanted the drive recycled, which I understood as disposing of the device, and I chose not to proceed with that option. I sought additional professional opinions. After receiving a second and third evaluation from other data recovery companies, I was advised that the condition of the HDD did not appear to match the assessment I had originally received. This experience raised concerns about the accuracy of the initial evaluation. Since I paid it, I expected a clear and accurate diagnosis of the drive's condition, along with realistic information regarding possible recovery options. My concern is not that recovery was uncertain -- I understand that data recovery can be complex and that outcomes are never guaranteed. My concern is that I was told it was beyond recovery, yet further evaluations resulted in my data being successfully recovered. My advice to anyone going through a similar situation is to seek multiple professional opinions. I chose Emergency Guy because I believe in supporting local businesses, and I appreciate the services they provide. However, when dealing with important data recovery decisions, it is always wise to consult other qualified professionals. If something does not feel right, take the time to ask questions, gather information, and get additional opinions before making a final decision. If someone becomes dismissive with questions - that's a sign to move on immediately.
