I probably should have provided this feedback much sooner but I just happened to come upon this yelp link. My business with Computer Link began in mid 2024 for a laptop repair and again in early 2025 for an in office network issue. In both instances I was totally satisfied with their immediate responsiveness, affordability and the quality of their delivery. Tony the owner and Randy the technician are great and very knowledgeable. I chose this business over others I contacted to handle my device needs both at their drop off location, and I also had technical issues requiring 'on site' service at my office location. Their affordability, rapid response and outstanding service made it easy for me to choose them the first time and call them again the second time. I have an iPhone 13 and my battery has been losing its charge very quickly and heating up both while just charging and charging. I looked at Apple service and they recommended Computer Link as an Apple repair location.. That's good enough for me. When I went there, the person at the front desk was working on something and it took him a while to pay attention to me. I spent about 20 minutes to drop off my phone. I have a spare iPhone XR and I swapped out my Sim card so that I would have a phone. That was part of the delay. But not all of it. It took longer because the person that would've ordered the part was busy with another customer on the phone. It took three days to repair the phone, actually more since it went over the weekend. It took an hour to pick up the phone because of various delays. It's been about a week since I got the battery replaced and while the battery health indicator says 100% , it's still getting real hot, and it's still dropping the charge really fast. I suspect what they did was they reset the battery health statistic to 100%. Next time I'm going to get the new battery from Apple Computer. read more

They kept me waiting even though I arrived before appointment time. They helped a few people "in front of me." When I was waiting, I saw them changing everyone $70 just to look at the device. They wanted to change the customers more if they "fix" their devices. When it was my turn, two of them told me Apple store would also change me for the recalled issue. I don't believe them. They take wayyyy too long and lie about the time it takes. I bring in my AirPods on Tuesday and tell me it'll be ready by Friday, then I call on Friday and they lie and say that they didn't say Friday so I wait until Tuesday to call and they say they haven't even looked at it yet and on top of that they give me attitude because they can't do their job correctly. Why would they make a customer wait that long and tell them a completely wrong time estimate they might as well tell you the correct amount of time it would take so we can plan accordingly. read more

If I could rate this place at 0 stars, I would. I dropped my iPad off to have the charging port repaired on a Friday and was given a price quote of $109 and was told it would take about 3 days. After 5 days and no update I had to reach out. I reached out 3 times. The first two times I was told he needed to follow up with his vendor and he would get back to me but never did. On the third time, I was told that due to a crack on the screen, the iPad had just been sitting at the vendor's location because he was afraid to further damage it. At that point, I had already been without the iPad for about 8 days. I told him to authorize the vendor to proceed and if further damage was done to the screen, I'd appreciate it being deducted from the fee. He then said he would have to check with the vendor and get back to me, which he never did. After another 4 days, so a total of 12 days without the iPad, I again had to reach out to him. He was extremely unprofessional and rude, stating that the last time we spoke, I told him that he could not proceed with the repair. Not only was that a blatant lie, it was completely illogical. If that were the case, why would my device still be collecting dust at his vendor's location? He proceeded to be unprofessional, interrupting me several times to finally say that his vendor could repair the charging port and replace the screen for an additional $99, so a total of $208. When I stated that the price coupled with his unreasonably long delay was unacceptable, he interrupted me again to say he would no longer be "servicing" me, as if he ever started. So almost 2 weeks after I dropped off my iPad, I picked it up in the same condition it was in when I left it. I immediately took my iPad to Quick Fix Phone Repair on Pacific Avenue and got the charing port repaired and screen replaced for $130 and it was ready the same day!!!! I will NEVER go to Computer Link again or recommend their services after such unprofessional and poor service. The owner should really be ashamed of himself! I have never had a reason to go to a repair shop as I am very careful with my devices. I made a mistake however and spilled soda on my Macbook pro. Cue panic. I saw that this shop was listed under Apple's certified repair shops so I took it here. I brought it in on Thursday, the 10th. I was told I would get a phone call early next week, which should have been from the 14th-16th. I received nothing. I called them myself to check in, and was told I would get called back. I was not called back. I called again today and apparently the technician had just looked at it. It was an urgent repair, yet it wasn't looked at for over a week? Then, the major problem was that they didn't even diagnose an issue. They were just going to send it out to Apple for $1,300 - $1,500. I thought this was absolutely absurd, and I can buy a new laptop for that price. Perhaps this is an Apple issue, I can't say for sure. But they should have at least opened it up to see if there was anything wrong with it in the first place. And, if they only ship out to Apple and don't do the repairs themselves, then they should say that up front. Either way, there was poor communication. They didn't charge me anything, because the owner said something along the lines of "we barely looked at it" or "didn't do any work on it." I do appreciate not being charged. I will never be going back to this shop and will be taking my laptop to a place that will actually open up my laptop and diagnose any issues themselves. I cracked my screen on my Macbook Pro and on Apple Support saw that Computer Link was listed as a Apple Partner. I made an appointment for the next day. Check in was super easy and the gentleman helping me was very kind and straight forward and said my computer would be done about 6 days later (i was surprised because I thought it could be longer) and just like he said 6 days later I got a call telling me it would be ready for pick up! I have a large-screen computer that needed a video card replacement, and it was just old enough that Apple orphaned it. The Apple dealer recommended this place as an authorized service center. Tony, the manager helped me, and told me my options, and did his best to find me a solution that would be reasonable and as quick as possible. I felt like I was dealing with someone who cared about my computer as much as I do! He found me the best options, and explained the pros and cons, and we agreed on the right repairs. I will trust all my Apples to this place! This is the old-fashioned great service people wish for, polite, professional, and quite frankly, perfect! Meh... I've definitely experienced better. Tony is great at customer service. He is a nice guy who is knowledgeable. However, they really need to upgrade the shop a bit if they are going to represent Apple. Also what really disappointed me was the amount of time it took for my repair. I needed a battery replacement for my laptop. It took almost 3 weeks to get my equipment back. I called several times and was told the work was nearly completed but clearly wasn't. read more

In a recent trip, my Macbook Pro wouldn't charge. I really needed my laptop. I went to the Apple store in Modesto, CA with a Genius Bar appointment. They run a lot of diagnostics and said they needed to send my computer to an Apple Service Center - that would take at least 3-5 business days. This would have been terrible for me as I need the laptop for multiple ongoing projects. I then took the same laptop to Computer Link and within two hours it was working just fine. I am typing this from the same laptop - no problems. There was no loss of content and all is well. The cost was very reasonable too. I could not be happier. Computer Link is just outstanding - and substantially better than Apple's Genius Bar. read more
