My computer caught an issue when running a Windows or Lenovo update and wasn't able to log in. Likely a simple issue in the tech world but needed some outside expertise. My first choice with good ratings said they would need to keep my laptop for a couple weeks. That wasn't agreeable with me, so I ended up going to ComputerLink. ComputerLink said they may have my laptop fixed by Monday but definitely within the week. I didn't hear from them during the week and returned on the following Saturday - and they didn't even look at it at all. Needless to say, I was a pretty perturbed. The tech called me on the following Tuesday to let me know he's working on my laptop and will call me back when it's done - and I never got a call back. So I again go on Saturday to get a status update on my laptop and they said it's been done - but they didn't call me. They charge $80/hour and charged me for 3 hours. I would think they would call me to let me k is the estimate beforehand - especially if it's going over the initial hour. And highly skeptical it took 3 hours to fix. They took off $40 for their poor customer service but the good news is, they fixed the issue. read more

I have an iPhone 13 and my battery has been losing its charge very quickly and heating up both while just charging and charging. I looked at Apple service and they recommended Computer Link as an Apple repair location.. That's good enough for me. When I went there, the person at the front desk was working on something and it took him a while to pay attention to me. I spent about 20 minutes to drop off my phone. I have a spare iPhone XR and I swapped out my Sim card so that I would have a phone. That was part of the delay. But not all of it. It took longer because the person that would've ordered the part was busy with another customer on the phone. It took three days to repair the phone, actually more since it went over the weekend. It took an hour to pick up the phone because of various delays. It's been about a week since I got the battery replaced and while the battery health indicator says 100% , it's still getting real hot, and it's still dropping the charge really fast. I suspect what they did was they reset the battery health statistic to 100%. Next time I'm going to get the new battery from Apple Computer. read more

They kept me waiting even though I arrived before appointment time. They helped a few people "in front of me." When I was waiting, I saw them changing everyone $70 just to look at the device. They wanted to change the customers more if they "fix" their devices. When it was my turn, two of them told me Apple store would also change me for the recalled issue. I don't believe them. If I could rate this place at 0 stars, I would. I dropped my iPad off to have the charging port repaired on a Friday and was given a price quote of $109 and was told it would take about 3 days. After 5 days and no update I had to reach out. I reached out 3 times. The first two times I was told he needed to follow up with his vendor and he would get back to me but never did. On the third time, I was told that due to a crack on the screen, the iPad had just been sitting at the vendor's location because he was afraid to further damage it. At that point, I had already been without the iPad for about 8 days. I told him to authorize the vendor to proceed and if further damage was done to the screen, I'd appreciate it being deducted from the fee. He then said he would have to check with the vendor and get back to me, which he never did. After another 4 days, so a total of 12 days without the iPad, I again had to reach out to him. He was extremely unprofessional and rude, stating that the last time we spoke, I told him that he could not proceed with the repair. Not only was that a blatant lie, it was completely illogical. If that were the case, why would my device still be collecting dust at his vendor's location? He proceeded to be unprofessional, interrupting me several times to finally say that his vendor could repair the charging port and replace the screen for an additional $99, so a total of $208. When I stated that the price coupled with his unreasonably long delay was unacceptable, he interrupted me again to say he would no longer be "servicing" me, as if he ever started. So almost 2 weeks after I dropped off my iPad, I picked it up in the same condition it was in when I left it. I immediately took my iPad to Quick Fix Phone Repair on Pacific Avenue and got the charing port repaired and screen replaced for $130 and it was ready the same day!!!! I will NEVER go to Computer Link again or recommend their services after such unprofessional and poor service. The owner should really be ashamed of himself! They take wayyyy too long and lie about the time it takes. I bring in my AirPods on Tuesday and tell me it'll be ready by Friday, then I call on Friday and they lie and say that they didn't say Friday so I wait until Tuesday to call and they say they haven't even looked at it yet and on top of that they give me attitude because they can't do their job correctly. Why would they make a customer wait that long and tell them a completely wrong time estimate they might as well tell you the correct amount of time it would take so we can plan accordingly. read more

I have never had a reason to go to a repair shop as I am very careful with my devices. I made a mistake however and spilled soda on my Macbook pro. Cue panic. I saw that this shop was listed under Apple's certified repair shops so I took it here. I brought it in on Thursday, the 10th. I was told I would get a phone call early next week, which should have been from the 14th-16th. I received nothing. I called them myself to check in, and was told I would get called back. I was not called back. I called again today and apparently the technician had just looked at it. It was an urgent repair, yet it wasn't looked at for over a week? Then, the major problem was that they didn't even diagnose an issue. They were just going to send it out to Apple for $1,300 - $1,500. I thought this was absolutely absurd, and I can buy a new laptop for that price. Perhaps this is an Apple issue, I can't say for sure. But they should have at least opened it up to see if there was anything wrong with it in the first place. And, if they only ship out to Apple and don't do the repairs themselves, then they should say that up front. Either way, there was poor communication. They didn't charge me anything, because the owner said something along the lines of "we barely looked at it" or "didn't do any work on it." I do appreciate not being charged. I will never be going back to this shop and will be taking my laptop to a place that will actually open up my laptop and diagnose any issues themselves. Tony, the manager helped me, and told me my options, and did his best to find me a solution that would be reasonable and as quick as possible. In a recent trip, my Macbook Pro wouldn't charge. I really needed my laptop. I went to the Apple store in Modesto, CA with a Genius Bar appointment. They run a lot of diagnostics and said they needed to send my computer to an Apple Service Center - that would take at least 3-5 business days. This would have been terrible for me as I need the laptop for multiple ongoing projects. I then took the same laptop to Computer Link and within two hours it was working just fine. I am typing this from the same laptop - no problems. There was no loss of content and all is well. The cost was very reasonable too. I could not be happier.
