BE AWARE: THEY DO NOT RETURN UNOPENED/NEW BATTERIES EVEN WITH THE RECEIPT! Came in once for the first time on 2/7/25 to buy a couple different packs of batteries. On this day, service was good and the manager made sure I took a copy of my receipt "just in case". Three days later, 2/10/25, I realized that I got 1 pair of the wrong batteries so I came back in to do an even exchange. Product was UNOPENED and I had the original purchase receipt. The cashier said he was going to check with his manager about the exchange then came back and said his manager told him that he can't do it. I questioned why not because I was well within their return policy and then asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out saying they don't return batteries and I respectfully questioned him because that is not specified in their return policy. I reminded him that he originally told me to take my receipt "just in case" to which he rudely replied that I should have led with the fact that he said that. Needless to say the manager eventually agreed to do the exchange this ONE time after I said, "what do I have to do? Leave a bad review?" A couple of years back I took several hundred dollars worth of snap-on batteries in to be rebuilt. After 3 months with no call I went in the check on them and they told me that they lost my batteries they don't know where they are and we don't even have a record. Fast forward to today, I thought I would give them one more chance. I ordered an 8 volt battery, a special order which they told would take a to get week. I ordered them under my business name. When I called today to check on my battery they said it was in and on the charger I told them I was on the way to pick it up. When I got there 15 minutes later everybody sat there with a blank look on their face and then after about 10 minutes they said oh we don't know how to tell you this but we sold your battery to somebody else. Awful experience! Had a key ordered for my Honda twice. Both keys didn't work waited for about 6 weeks for each key to arrive.

This was my experience. Hopefully yours will be better. First, I had them replace the battery in my watch. The next day the stem fell out making the watch worthless. Second, I went in for a new car key. They said they'd have to order it and it would be two weeks. Took my number and said they'd call. Four weeks later I hadn't received a call. When I checked they said it would be another four weeks. I went to Ace hardware and they got it in 5 days. read more

Car break in...Batteries Plus On Saturday January 23, 2021 I took my car to Batteries Plus located at 3330 E. Hammer Lane, Stockton Ca at 12 noon for a scheduled appointment for them to program a new Key Fob that I had just purchased from them. Due to a remarkably busy life schedule of mine I was not able to pick up my car that day. I had received a voicemail message at 5:30 that evening from Batteries Plus saying my car was ready to be picked up. I thought to my self It will be OK and I will pick it up tomorrow. So, on Sunday January 24th, that afternoon I went to pick up my car. I entered the store and received the new Fob, all programmed and ready to go. I walked out to my car parked in the same spot I had left it and found it UNLOCKED!! The store employee who worked on my car had left the vehicle unlocked!! With the car unlocked and sitting in the parking lot someone had vandalized/ broke in and ransacked all my personal belongings both inside the vehicle and the trunk! Making a total mess. In addition, the vandal/thief stole any thing of value such as my Bluetooth headsets, Leather coat, sensitive information with home address, irreplaceable personal items and personal medical prescriptions I had just picked up!! I ran back to inform the store employees. A nice young lady named Peyton came to look at the mess the vandal/thief had created. Peyton walked next door to the liquor store because the store owner has video camera place outside. Unfortunately, the camera did not record the activity!! Peyton said the store manager would call me the next day to discuss the issue of the employees NOT locking my vehicle while it was in the possession of the store. I never received a call. I called and left a message for the store manager (Anthony) on Monday. No return calls. On Tuesday I called the store and finally spoke with Anthony., The store manager. He was very aware of what had happened and went on to blame me for leaving my car parked overnight. In addition, he went on and on about how his employees would never do that and it was my fault for leaving my car. Not only was he rude and accusatory he displayed no empathy or concern for me or my loss of property. He and his employee accepted no responsibility and showed the worst customer service imaginable. I believe the store and its employees had some degree of responsibility to make sure the car was locked and secure. And the way the store manager Anthony spoke to me as customer and a human being was rude, disrespectful and generally showed his poor customer service and complete lack of concern. The staff at Batteries Plus assisted me with my battery problems quickly and knowledgeably. They answered my questions over the phone and were very friendly. I bought some rechargeable batteries off Amazon and had trouble attaching the new electrical harness to the batteries (for an electric go-kart). I called a different battery place, who told me they could not help me. I called Batteries Plus and they said no problem! I brought in my batteries and they attached them in less than five minutes! Back in December 2016 I purchased a power Wheels type truck for my grandson in addition to a 4 year warranty. The first time we charged the battery it lasted about 2 hrs....after that the charge lasted about 20 mins until it no longer charged. I continued to get the runaround from Asurion (warranty company), Walmart.com, Walmart and Best Choice Products (toy manufacturer). None of the companies honored the warranty. I decided to try Batteries Plus and was informed that they do not do warranty work on the brand of toy I purchased. I was disappointed but the friendly, professional and hardworking staff were determined to fix the truck for my grandson. I called and spoke to Anna amd she said they would take a look at it. When i arrived Anna greeted me and called me by name as i walked in as if we were old friends. Shawn and Thi were relentless in troubleshooting the problems and once they determined the toy company shipped the wrong charger they noticed the gear shifter was malfunctioning also. I purchased a new battery and charger for the toy truck. The shifter issue is totally out of the scope of services they provide but within minutes, they had that repaired also. Finally, we decided to purchase a new automatic key lock fob for my son's 2006 Dodge Magnum and rather than take advantage of a customer, Shawn recommended replacing the battery which saved me approximately $190. I am SO PLEASED with the service I received today I would give them 10 stars based on their knowledge, professionalism, courtesy, problem solving, determination, helpfulness (you get the picture) and all this was done while providing excellent and prompt service to all the other customers. Like the store and the wide variety of products. Recent customer service experience, was not acceptable. I ordered a new laptop battery in May. I called the store end of July, letting them know it was only lasting 2 hours. They decided to warranty the battery and order a new one. Great to hear, but over a month later, no battery. I have called numerous times to check on the status, and have been given a variety of excuses. Each time the employee (Alan) said he would check into it and call me back. Nothing. I finally asked to speak to the manager Anthony, thinking he would surely get results. I left a message for him to call me back, assured he would get back to me, still no response. I have tried to be patient due to the issues related to the pandemic. But I have wasted enough of my time. The service in the store is ok, but lacks when you are not in front of them. These guys should be commended. I brought in 8 batteries...4 of which I had purchased two years ago, the other 4 were not sold by them. I had accidentally fully drained my batteries, and had the other four I had replaced. I brought all of them in and they tested and charged them up. They were able to save 6 of the 8 batteries...and they did not charge me anything to provide this service. I was ready to spend money on new batteries, but, because of their efforts, I have fully charged and functioning batteries for my large vehicle. Thanks guys! read more

I'll amend my previous rating due to the owner e-mailing me an apology. I came back at the end of the day and picked up my battery without issue. However, I think it is absolutely ridiculous to hold an item requiring both the debit card and an ID to be presented upon pick up. If this was the case, just tell the customer to come in and buy it ... instead of charging them for an item that they may not possibly be able to pick up. Look, I wasn't without fault for not having my debit card on me that day. But the fact of the matter is, once money has changed hands, it is ridiculous to withhold an item from a customer. Especially if said item is an item that is customarily needed in an emergency. People don't general come in to buy a car battery out of the blue, they buy it because theirs is dead, they need it right there and then. ZERO STAR RATING IF IT ALLOWED. Batteries plus are just a bunch of assholes using bait and switch tactics. I went in for a fob shell for 2010 Honda civic. They didn't have just the shell but said they could get me the key. They told me it would take a week to get it in and would be about $40. Knowing that this is a transponder key, and they it should be expensive, I jump to have them order this key after hearing it will only be $40. A week goes by and I get a call that the key is in. I go in to pick up the key, they ask if my vehicle(that the key belongs to) is here with me. i say no and ask why. Doofus responds staying that they need the car in order to program new key. I explain that I didn't actually need the key, or transponder, only the shell. I then demand to see the key I had them order in, and when he brings it out, I see that the new key fob will come apart just like my old broken one. I state this fact and say that I'll take the new key unprogrammed, and uncut, because i can unscrew the fob and switch the innards. Doofus tells me that if it doesn't work out that I cannot return the key, and I tell him that I'll take my chances. He rings up the new key and is $106! WTF! I exclaim that last week he said it would be $40. Doofus asshole's response, Well who told you that?, I say, You did. Asshole says, I've never sold one of these keys for just $40. I then exclaimed that their bait and switch tactics would not go unpunished. Do not go to Batteries plus in Stockton. They lie and use bait and switch tactics in order to make money. I promptly found the fov shell online for a whopping $7, which includes shipping cost. I only went to Batteries plus because my mother in law asked me to go there, but I personally will never ever go back after that kind of service. Hello the store on hammer ln. have not been very professional. I took back 2 batteries they say were out of warranty but offered to try and charge them. They said it would take overnight gave me a tag and said they would call me. I had to call them after a week only to hear they wouldn't take a charge. I said I would have appreciated had someone called me like they said so I didn't have to be without my scooter. The gentalmen hahahah O.K. you have a good day n hung up. Rude! Another time I took my phone in to see about getting a new battery. The gentalmen asked for my phone. My phone has a 2 part cover which makes it hard to come off the guy forced off the cover all at once and cracked the backing of my iPhone. Only had 1 phone on hand so of course the lady gave us the right battery. Was having major problems finding Quantum Turbo Battery Replacements any where in the U.S. Decided to give Batteries Plus a try. Not only did they have the batteries, they could also assemble them just like the factory assembly. Fit right into my Turbo case. Charged in 10 minutes. Tested them by firing 200 flashes and then another 100 and the battery indicator never went below full charge. I have never had such success with the factory issued batteries. I need them for a photo shoot that weekend which they said no problem. Photo shoot went without any battery problems at all. Still had almost a full charge after hundreds of flash firings. Recently my everyday cellphone crashed and I had to travel from Lodi to Modesto to deal with the situation. I don't own a landline so I have to rely on a back-up cell for emergency calls to my spouse & doctors. Worst place to go to if you need your phone repaired ! Let me start off by saying I made an appointment at 8 am showed up then they tell me as I show up the technician don't get there till 10 am why would you make appointments early if no one will be there. Second I think they charge to much for a iPhone screen repair 90 bucks technically 100 bucks is to much ! After getting my phone back 4 days later I put me phone in my purse and pull it out the screen it cracked . There screens are cheap ! You can feel the difference right away .
