First of all customer service at this store is the worst if you do not speak Chinese. The two women that my wife and I dealt with on Friday February 14th 2025 and Sunday February 16th 2025 could barely speak any English and the one on Sunday was too worried that she couldn't finish her lunch to help her customer because there's a state law saying she has to have lunch. She made us wait in the store with our backs to her while she was slurping up her food very very inappropriate the worst customer service I've ever seen and I have been a customer with cricket for over 10 years If you are in the Irvine area there are English speaking residents also not just Chinese. I do not recommend this store and the people are very rude. While she was helping us the young lady helped a couple of families that only spoke Chinese and completely ignored my wife and me Obviously they don't teach customer service at cricket or in China I will soon be finding a new carrier for my family.....Cricket really stinks Sure would be nice if someone from cricket would actually call me and ask me what happened and please have someone who speaks English from America to talk to me read more

Their store hours say 11am-5pm. We stopped by at 2pm and they were closed! There was an employee inside looking at us knock but she didn't come outside. She was extremely rude! She closed the door to the employee lounge and turned off the lights. When we wouldn't go away, and kept knocking, she came out, pointed at the "closed" sign and walked back inside to the employee lounge. SO INCREDIBLY RUDE! DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. I cannot stress how angry I am with Cricket. I have had three replacement phones in the last eight months and each time they have been replaced with an inferior phone. My new replacement phone now freezes before opening, after opening, during the operation of the phone and texting etc. The cricket company stresses me out in a day when technology is supposed to enhance your life. Its the very antithesis with mine. Ive tried cancelling my insurance but the guide wont show me how to do it. We recently went in to switch our phones from AT&T to Cricket. It was overall a very painless experience. Our phones were already unlocked, which is a crucial first step. With that having been done, it is literally as simple as swapping SIM cards and giving over the info. We were in and out within 15 minutes. I thought the staff there were very careful and attentive and made sure we didn't have any issues signing up. Our phone bill is now half of what it cost us before. Took my 15 years old son here to get a new phone. He's been saving his money and finally had enough money after Christmas. Yingwen helped us and she started ringing the phone, a case and a screen protector that she grabbed from the back. When I saw that, I told her I just want the phone. She told me the case and screen protector are free with the phone. So I thought, ok, that's nice. She was very nice through out the transaction and she even told me she gave me $15 discount. We paid and we took our phone home. A couple of days later, I was cleaning out my purse and I checked the receipt before tossing it out. It turned out the case and screen protector are not free! She flat out lied to us. She also charged protection plans that I clearly told her I didn't want. Be careful dealing with this store. Always check your receipt. She has a little sticky notes too that she wrote down things about your account and I can see notes from previous customers. Now I really have to keep an eye on my account. I reported this to cricket customer service. I wonder how many customers that she had flat out lied too. Definitely gave me a lesson to always check my receipts! read more

Working with Ben (and Grace) has been one of the most postitive experiences in buying a wireless phone. Ever. I've been looking for a specific phone from Cricket (LG Stylo3) since late December 2018 but all I got the run-around and the bait and switch to get another phone. Fast forward to mid January 2018. After the Cricket Lomita and Cricket Fullerton store did not call me back about the possibility of having the Stylo3, I called the Cricket Irvine store during an errand in the OC and pleasantly got a yes! and a willingness to help ASAP. Ben said that yes, he in fact had two Stylo3 phones in stock. The store was a bit hard to find (across from the gas station) and its not in front of the 99 ranch market. But he was on the phone with me to guide us and when I got there he had the phones ready for activation. Great! We were out in less than 40 minutes. He even threw in some accessories as part of a limited promotion. If you are ever considering Cricket, it's worth a look to call Cricket Irvine. I came back to it after a year of Project Fi. I came into this store today with my boyfriend to buy him a new phone. We both already have Cricket and I love the cell phone service. I drove out to the store because when I attempted to buy the phone online they have an additional $25 set up fee and was told by the website chat agent that I could avoid this fee if I went in the store. So, I go in the store and there was a young woman and young man working and they both told me the set up fee still applied because he needed to purchase a new sim card. Of course, we said, "But can't we take the sim card out of his old phone and use that?" Which was replied with an emphatic no. Then, I said "Well, I'll just go buy the phone at Target that I was looking at." to which the girl said "They'll charge you too. They have all these hidden fees they don't tell you about." Long story short...I called Target and they said that wasn't true and I got a great deal on a new Cricket phone at Target. read more

There was only one lady working and she wouldn't even listen to my situation. I was trying to set up an account online and was unable to transfer my number. She just cut me off and said call customer service. I thought maybe it was because she had trouble with English, but she wouldn't give the guy behind me the time of day either. I called customer service like she said. They said it was a technical glitch, and to just keep trying. I contacted Cricket through FB, and they said they don't have the ability to transfer landlines at this time. Yikes! That was a lot of work to get a correct answer. This is not a paid review and I received no favor from writing this. I was helped by Kareem and Jon, both are fantastic and have great customer service representative skills. I switched from T-Mobile. I walked in without any appointments, was able to port over in one hour flat without knowing a thing about anything besides my own phone number. This place is very accessible, located at Walnut + Jeffrey immediately off the 5 fwy which as any Irvine residents know, is a bus stop to the very frequent 66 line. The store is neat and kept cool in hot So cal Spring. I got nothing but praise. FYI BTW anyone else switching from T-Mobile with LG G5 remember to factory reset your phone or you might have hard time setting up wifi and eat the data. read more

Very happy with my experience at this store, and with Cricket in general. Linda helped me to get my phone switched over from Verizon and my old $90/mo bill for 4GB of data became $45 for 8GB of data. Only thing to be aware of is that Cricket rate limits the downstream to 8Mbps, but that is ample bandwidth for 99% of what most people use their data plans for. Hulu, youtube, Skype, and other streaming sites all play in HD just fine. If you'd like to save $ on your phone service, please go see Linda. She's awesome! read more

Called in to this location and it was 30 minutes before closing, had a very polite gentleman named Jon who answered and said please come and he will take care of new service. There were 2 other people in front of me when I arrived but he politely asked if I could wait or shop around and then come back. The store closes at 7pm but he finished everyone's order in a calm and caring manner. This level of customer service is rare now in the service industry. He not only stayed late until almost 8:30pm ,he was very helpful and patient. WARNING!!!!! Do not buy anything in this store do it online If I could give zero stars I would. I gotta say that this store has a TERRIBLE costumer service, their employee made a terrible mistake and the store did NOTHING to fix it. I recently called the store requesting about a phone and they told me they did not had it in store, but that I could order with them and make a payment plan, the sales rep even got me a installment plan over the phone just to get me at the store. Once I got there she spoke with her superior in KOREAN ( people at the store barely speak English) and apologetically said that the plan she had offered doesn't exist and that I would have to do it online. Great I follow the steps online and got approved for a discounted price on the phone I wanted and with installment plan, but needed an account with Cricket. The store then proceed to charge me an activation fee and the choice of my monthly plan and give me a cheap phone "for free" and tells me now I have an account and can go ahead and buy my phone online. Just to find out that they ripped me of the opportunity of getting a new phone cause to the system I am already a costumer, so I lost the discount and the installment plan. I then contacted cricket corporate costumer service and they informed me that was a mistake done by the store and they should fix it. When I contacted the store I was denied access to a superior or management. I was even offered $100 from employee pocket as they were scared to lose their job so they were trying to "help me". Now I had to spend $325 more then I would if they had only informed me that for me to accomplish what I wanted I needed to have done it all online and never had paid a dollar at the store. They collected my money and did nothing to help me fix it. I am going to make a complaint with Best Business Bureau. I was denied my right as costumer to talk to a manager to help resolve my problem. I was stuck with untrained employees that gave me absurd or no solution at all, and yet 'm still waiting them to return my phone calls. So I'm taking further actions about this. read more

I went to the store with a used cricket phone. The sales person checked the phone and agreed that it would work. After paying and activating the phone we discovered the phone wasn't working. We tried to buy a new one but were no longer able to because the phone deals are for activations only and we already had an account. We called corporate support and they said the dealer needed to cancel the account and give us a refund. The supervisor refused. The compromise ended being that they allowed us to purchase a phone but after hours of back and fourth. DO NOT GO HERE. They will rip you off if you speak English. read more
