Terrible experience for a very basic request. I have 4 lines and been a long customer since 2008, I have a prepaid line that I renew once a year, and the website is so bad it always fails to make the payment, tried on the browser, the app, tried card, Apple Pay, PayPal but nothing works, called my bank and there was no issue from their end. So I go to the store on my lunch break, there's two reps each one with a customer and I check in. I waited 20 mins no acknowledgement of any kind. Another customer walks in and goes and sits close to one of the reps, Sophie, she speaks to him in Chinese and 5 minutes later she invites him to the other table while I'm standing in the middle waiting. I said I was there first, but she claimed she had an appointment! I didn't see an option for an appointment and I wasn't offered one, she had to then help me, for calling her Bs. She then directs me to the machine which didn't have the payment option for my plan and asked me to wait for the other rep! I waited a little but couldn't wait more and had to leave back to work. Came back after work, there was a 3rd rep who welcomed me and asked me to check in & wait, not sure what her role is but she wasn't doing anything, had to wait again, while waiting I kept trying online until it somehow worked, and I left, this happened again last year where someone else who is Chinese was preferred by the Chinese rep maybe was or someone else, also claiming the walk in after me had appointment. I said to myself then whatever but this is now a repeated experience at this store location specifically. So I'm sharing my terrible experience poor service for a minimum service expectation m. Don't even bother. I made an appt online and as soon as I walked in, they told me to check-in. Check in where? They said it was on my app. There was no option to check-in? I said "I'm here, can't you just look me up?" I bought a phone online. Phone was faulty and could not be activated despite calling and visiting in person. Ended up shipping back phone and wanting to close my account only to be told because I don't have a pin I can't cancel. They won't reset my pin until 30 days go by. By that time I'll be charged to cancel. It's ridiculous they can't verify me with my ID. Never dealt with anything like this with any other company. Excellent Service from Chris! We've been AT&T customers since 2007, and have always come to this Woodbury Town Centre location. Every time we see Chris, we feel relieved and happy because he's truly the best representative here. He's fluent in English, patient, and always takes the time to clearly explain every detail, the deals, the options, and the benefits, step by step. As someone whose first language isn't English, I really appreciate how easy it is to understand him. Unfortunately, that's not always the case with others at this store, but Chris always makes the process smooth and stress-free. We visit this location every few months for myself, my family, and my sisters, and every time Chris helps us, we leave completely satisfied. Never had a worse experience than I had here. The employees at this location are aggressively unhelpful and bad mannered. There's never anyone in the store so the staff obviously isn't overwhelmed with work, but I guess AT&T just likes paying people to sit around and do nothing because that's what I see EVERY time. The manager is NOT any better, and likely the enabler of such poor customer service. This store is 100% why my family cancelled all of our phone lines, and if my apartment building didn't exclusively offer AT&T internet I would've gladly never done business with them again - but I look forward to the day. read more

Do not ever do business with ATT. If you close your account, it does not stop the autopay which is buried within the fine print. Closing of account take 1-2 billing cycles, "it's a process." During that time, it's impossible for the service rep to reverse any wrong charges. You need to do a lot of leg work to follow up. If charges are reversed, you need to call back to have them issue a gift card. I kid you not; they will not refund to your credit card or bank. The gift card is also terrible to use and nearly impossible to check on your balance. The whole thing is designed to make it extremely difficult get your money back. read more

Is it possible to give negative stars? We have several lines with ATT, most started at this store. Daughter had an issue with connectivity, and we were the first ones there when it opened. Rep treated us flippantly almost immediately. His final suggestion to us was - "why don't you take it to Tech Support or go to the Apple Store?" This after spending fewer than 5 minutes trying to resolve this issue. To top it off, he acted like a petulant child when I asked for his full name and business card. Told me he didn't have the latter, but offered up a business card for the store. I asked him to write his name. He wrote just his first name. I asked him to write his full name. Probably the worst customer service ever. I walked in today wanting to buy the new zfold for roughly $2,000. No customers were in the building. Only 3 workers. 2 workers didn't even bother getting up. 1 worker walked up and asked to help us. This asian dude was the worst salesman ever. He said nothing. Elaborated on nothing. I asked to see the zfold. We walk to the zfold in silence. I see the screen is off. I am struggling to turn it on or have the screen on. I look at him and ask can you turn it on. He says its off. I try to power it on. I then ask again can you help I want to see the phone turned and test it out. He replies with it isn't plugged in. This is pretty much the entire conversation. Silence by him. Horrible service! Do not shop here! The staff is so incompetent and not helpful. When I came in today, there was 4 sales people on the floor and no customers. They didn't even look up to greet me because they were too busy on their phones. When asked to see the Iphone 11 Pro Max, they didn't have one to show because their display model was stolen and they didn't bother to replace a new one. What kind of business is this? How do they expect to do business when they can't show their products? The sales person had to pull his own phone out of his pocket to show me what it looks like. On top of that, when asked about the features and benefits of the phone, the salesperson Chao didn't know how to answer any of my questions directly. After 15 minutes, I got frustrated and was hoping someone else could step in to help me but the rest of the staff just stood around, still busy on their phones, didn't bother to help their co-worker to make the sale. When I approached another salesperson, he wasn't helpful neither because I interrupted him. I couldn't take it anymore and left. I went to another location down the street and bought a phone and with much better service. They just lost my business and a loyal customer This store not only has terrible customer service, not friendly and incompetent staff, poorly run and very unprofessional, but most of all, they don't seem to care about their business. So while my initial experience was good it spiraled very fast. 1. I got a replacement phone ordered because my phone wasn't working (there did so as a courtesy which I was and am very grateful although it was only 2 days after getting the phone). The wrong phone was ordered. 2. Went to the store, had to activate the wrong phone, and was not able to get the situation fixed. 3. Went back and their system crashed so I still couldn't get the situation fixed. 4. System came back the same day and had to go back again to get the situation resolved. 5. Got the right phone and then went to return the case and phone but found out that the two guys who were helping me weren't there. So I got the case retuned but had to bring the box and everything back to return the phone. 6. Brought the phone back and then a guy named Art went to talk to the manager about my situation. Told me that they can't help me but are opening a ticket and can hold the phone for me but I'm responsible for it so if they lose it or damage it or something it's on me. And that they couldn't refund the the phone and I was passed the time allotted. (Which I actually was not and verified with customer service) I told him well the two guys know the situation and it wasn't my error or fault. I came to find out that they were tested positive for COVID and I guess the store was hiding it and I was potentially exposed to it but they didn't feel the need to tell me and other customers. I asked to talk to the manager twice and he told me that the manager is going to say what he said and that the manager took time out of his lunch so I should be thankful and if I wanted to wait 30 minutes till he's done his lunch then I can talk to him. Well I called customer service (because Art didn't want to help and told me to try and resolve it myself ... apparently I have to do their job) and they found the whole situation weird and unnecessary and filed a report against the store (I didn't tell them to do it, they just did it themselves). I am a pretty reasonable person but to tell me I should be thankful after the mess up, the time spent going to the store and the behavior of Art which was total bs and not even any type of compensation for my time and my understanding is ridiculous. read more

AT&T has been transferring me over and over-all these agents said they cannot retrieve the information "let me transfer you to someone who can help". Everytime I call AT&T i always get transferred at least 4-5 times. I just hung up after being on the phone with AT&T for 45 minutes and still did not reach the person who can help me. Terrible service. Had an authorized user eligible to make purchases and changes on my account go in to upgrade an iPhone. They started everything and basically got the quote for the upgrade. Then they wanted to verify my SSN before proceeding. I was busy at work and couldn't reply to my authorized user. All other ATT stores I've been to only ask for the passcode. So I get that and understand and then she tries to do the upgrade again the following day at another store since she now has my info. Well it shows pending on her line and she has to go back to the original store to either proceed or get it removed. First off, why would it be pending if it's just a quote?!? There's no order number that was generated! Now her line is locked and we can't upgrade online or thru customer service until that pending upgrade is removed. We don't have time to go back and forth to the location. I called the location to try and get that fixed but they want us to come in to verify. Any other store I've talked to over the phone never gave me any type of issue with this. Complete waste of time dealing with the staff here. Do yourself a favor and avoid this headache of a location. Also to the staff, please re-train them especially CHENG! That's the person that left my account pending! If the quote/pending order can't go thru, remove it from the system and don't tie it up! My goodness, to say that every single team member here is inept would be an understatement. You'd think in a relatively new shopping center like this, in a nice neighborhood, with lots of customers, they'd be more cognizant of this. Nope. Question I posed: "So what models of Android phones are the most popular?" Answer: "Well the Apple is the most popular. Then the Samsungs. Then the LGs." (I asked for Android models, and she gives me no useful information) I wanted to look at the new V10 from LG. "We just got this one, just took it out of the box and plugged it in," a team member said. It wasn't charged apparently (black screen). "Oh, let's plug it into a new charger." Grabbed the phone, plugged in, walked away. Waited a few minutes, and still nothing. I looked at the back of the phone. She plugged in one end, BUT DID NOT PLUG IN THE OTHER SIDE! After wasting a half hour here, they took the phone away from the display area. But you know what? They never put the battery in the damn phone!!! This is one that has a removable battery AND THEY NEVER PUT THE BATTERY IN! No wonder the thing was so light. Just absolutely awful. read more

I went there to get an upgrade on my phone. After some discussion with the rep, I was told that I could get a new Samsung S20; and if I switched to a new plan, my bill would actually go down. I was obviously pretty happy about this so I made the change. However, when I received my first bill, my monthly costs went UP by $35/month. When I called to have them correct it, I was told they probably mis-quoted me at the time of sale and there was noting they could do. So now I am looking into returning the phone, cancelling my service, which I've had with AT&T for 20 years, and going somewhere else. read more
