We were able to be seated promptly after arriving and got our orders in quickly, but our waters didn't arrive until our food came in (~20 min since we sat at the table). Service: 4/10. The ambiance was very cool, kind of reminded me of a dive bar with all the posters on the wall and the old feeling of the building. Ambiance: 8/10. Food: Soupe a l'oignon gratinée (French onion soup): Super delicious and heavy on the umami carried by the onion flavor. The Swiss cheese melted on top of the soup looked like it was flambed, providing a crunchy crust on the soup, but also had retained its cheese pull capabilities. The sharp flavor of the Swiss perfectly complemented the savory broth. I also love how there was a piece of bread in the soup that soaked up all of the broth; it acted as a sponge of flavor. 10/10. Banana Sara Crepe: I really enjoyed this one. It was sweet but not overwhelmingly so, leaning more heavily on the caramel flavor and the subtle sweetness of the bananas. The vanilla bean ice cream was phenomenal; I don't know how to describe it other than it reminded me of when I was a kid running around in a scorching hot summer and feeling revived by the coolness, creaminess, and sweetness of a vanilla ice cream. The vanilla ice cream tasted natural and leaned more towards its creaminess to complement the subtle sweetness of the caramelized bananas. 8.5/10 Overall, I would come back here if it was a bit less busy for the food. We just pick a hotel and go. So when we reserved a new place - not a hotel!!, we were not sure what to expect. We were completely blown away. Throughout the whole experience, very nice and kind servers brought around refills of 3 types of teas. We were never running low on tea. All of the pastries were made either right then or that morning. I went to the bathroom and walked by a large pan of cranberry scones that came out of the oven and felt the warmth. The pumpkin bisque and delicious, warm quiche was to die for! The desserts at the end with the sorbet were incredible. We had never had a tea with warm food before. The hostess as well as all waiters and waitresses were friendly. There was a gentle piano playing Christmas music in the background. I also loved our cushioned seats. The temperature of the room was so comfortable. And the best part - they came around with extras of their pastries and snacks! We had never been to a tea where they passed out extras. The silverware and plates were also gorgeous - we didn't feel rushed and I loved that there wasn't some heavy metal tiered serving tray that other teas use. It also is casual - Mom was in jeans, some people were dressed up and others weren't. It felt like a special experience. We couldn't believe how amazing it was from start to finish. We already booked for 2026. For the cost ($50), you are getting an exceptional Christmas tea. Usually we pay double that per person as well for a less than mediocre tea experience. The back has a large parking lot but you have to read the signs. Park in the spots that say 4 hour free parking to be on the safe side. Other than that, we ordered mozzarella sticks, gyro Philly sandwich combo, and pasta arrabiata with gyro meat. To be honest, the mozzarella sticks are not worth $8 because they were too small. However, that gyro meat is one of the best I've ever had. The gyro Philly has beef and lamb gyro. They were perfectly tender and juicy. The French fries are crispy, not soggy, and well seasoned. The pasta was excellent. The food portions were huge. The bueno crepe was also delectable. Big enough to share.
