I moved to Oceanside couple months ago and was sooooo happy when I found this nail salon. I went to multiple nail salons in my area prior to Creative Design and was extremely disappointed. Now that I found this spot I'm seriously never going anywhere else. The quality/cleanliness of the work and the friendliness of the staff is what keeps me coming back. My review is mainly for Nina, she is seriously the best Nail technician I've ever met. She's the only one that's ever done my nails at the salon and her work is great. She is very thorough and makes sure that you are comfortable every step of the way and will go out of her way to make sure you are satisfied with her work. I've never had any complaints, in fact I trust her so much that at this point I tell her what color I have in mind and let her work her art. Although, I am confident that if I were to show her a design I wanted she'd give me exactly what I asked for. She is always busy but somehow always manages to squeeze me in when I need it!!! Btw she also does an awesome job on my eyebrows!! My advice to you is to book an appointment because they tend to be busy, especially towards the weekend. Overall, I would highly recommend you guys give this spot a try because you won't be going anywhere else after you do. Their prices are reasonable and totally worth it for what you're getting. I moved to Vista over the summer and was hesitant to find a new nail salon that would listen to what I want, isn't too expensive and lasts long. I decided to give them a try based on previous reviews and I'm IN LOVE! I've had my nails done by different people each time and they always do an amazing job! I'm updating my review due to the recent gel manicure I received. Out of the handful of times I've came here, the women working here have always done great work. However, the man who usually is at the front desk (not sure his name) did my manicure and rushed through it, didn't even remove my cuticles and gave me probably the worst manicure I've ever received. I'm not sure he was even watching what he was doing the whole time due to him constantly looking up every 5 seconds at the door. I won't be returning. My experience started when I called in. I had previously gone to another nail salons and asked for ombré however the ombré they did was only done with nail polish and was not what I wanted. The lady on the phone was honest and took the time to tell me pricing and listen to what it was I needed done. Arriving there was a little hard to find but if you really wanna get your nails done here then you will find it. They were busy but I did like that they kept their word and helped me just around 6:30 which is what I had my appointment set to. Nathan, Nathan, Nathan!! Excellent techs. I am a very loyal customer. Been going here for over a year now. Great service. Everyone is very nice. All techs are skilled but Nathan is my favorite. I get pink and whites, ombres and fills once a month. Every third set I get a full set. Cuticles are done, nails are glossy perfection every time. Pedicures are very relaxing and comforting. Great massage and nail color done. They are open until 7pm during the week. Very busy on weekends. Make an appointment. I found this little gem through Yelp. I saw their rating and designs so I decided to give them a try. I called in for an appointment which was quick and easy to make. I would suggest maybe greeting the person with a little more enthusiasm though when answering the phone. When I got there, I was greeted right away, and was helped as soon as someone was available. I wish I had gotten her name. She was really nice, and very helpful. I told her what happened to my nails, and that person who did it didn't listen to me or even came close to the simple design I wanted. She went straight to work fixing everything wrong. After she finished, it was amazed. It was exactly what I wanted, and she was able to make it happen. It was like covering up an ugly tattoo, and making it into a work of art. I absolutely love this salon!! The whole crew is great and extremely friendly. It is clean and organized as well. I have been here three times so far. Once for just a full set and twice for a full set and a pedi. The staff did my full set and pedi at the same time so I was in and out in half the time. I've been here a few times now. The second nail tech to do my fill said that my nails were lifting and whoever did them did a bad job... well it was another male tech from that salon! Secondly she was very aggressive with the filing, she did not keep the original shape of my nails and the corners were filed jagged, uneven and some nails were longer than others ...and lastly they were sooo thick there is a lump on the underside of my nails. I showed her a picture for a natural pink and my nails ended up a Pink pastel color... so overall not happy... I'll keep searching for the right place. read more

Never been happier with my nails. I got the ombré pink to white because the pictures on here were so pretty I couldn't help it. $60 plus a tip. Nathan did so good! I was in and out in 45 mins, no cuts and no rushing. The shape is EXACTLY what I wanted, and the length is perfect. I asked him to fix one of my nails and he did it immediately (no arguing like most nail places), I've been trying to find a new place in Vista and it was perfect. 12/2019 - I've been here many times but several of those times I ended with an injury to my nail. Nathan was taking off my acrylics and was going hard at it, he was struggling and hurting me. I finally asked if he could just soak them off. It was less painful and easier for him it seemed like. Not sure why he wouldn't have done it in the first place. Also he has filed my nails too much before leaving a hole. I went with Jaylin the last time I was there she took a gentler approach. Nina doesn't seem to file so hard either. I'm not sure if I want acrylics anymore if they're that painful to remove or if I will get injured. read more

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A REVIEW TOWARDS JAYLEN. ***Jaylen is a nail tech at this salon who does FANTASTIC WORK, she is completely exempt from this review. Everyone knows she's good and that's why it's hard to get an appointment with her. I will ONLY return to this salon if I have an appointment with Jaylen.*** So I've been a repeat customer at this salon for the past year. I've only had the younger women do my nails, each time my full sets have lasted for MONTHS beautiful work, very trendy cute designs. Love it, I finally felt like I found a great place. ON TOP OF IT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Today I went in to get a full set, I made an appointment with whoever was available. I was running late (10 min late.) I called and let them know, they said it was fine, I knew that I was then going to have to wait which is only fair. After 49 min of waiting the older woman who I am assuming was the manager, took me to her station and asked what I wanted, I told her I wanted a "clear full set with a jelly topcoat" this is a VERY simple technique *mix equal parts color gel and equal parts purple liquid* I've seen it done before AT THAT SALON and it's NOT complicated to do. The woman looked at me like I was crazy and said she didn't know how to do it. Then she pawned me off on a male nail tech named Nathan.... Nathan's portfolio is insane, he is a master at 3D Art, sculpting, marble, foils, glitter etc. I've had many friends get their nails done by him and LOVED it. I was confident he knew what I was talking about. After several photos and explaining the process to him he gave me a weird look and said "no I can't do." I didn't want to frustrate him and I felt bad so I then proceeded to show him another photo of a marble full set I wanted...then the manager approached me...THIS IS WHEN IT GOT BAD. "What's going on, you need to tell him what you want! You need to hurry, he has other appointments." She yelled in front of the whole salon. Um..I'm sorry what? I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TOO. They both looked at me like I was an idiot. So before they wasted anymore time, I politely asked him to remove my tips and I no longer wanted service there. He said "yeah sure" cut the artificial tips off my nails and left them in terrible shape, before I really lost my shit I decided to get up and leave. Long story short, customers should never be rushed or lied to just to get them in quicker and faster. This is HORRIBLE customer service, I waited almost an HOUR to be told "no." If I was asking for something crazy I would understand but I wasn't. He clearly had no interest in doing my nails and taking my money. Must be nice. Next time I plan on giving people my business that WANT to do quality work. If I ever return it will be because of Jaylen or the other younger girls and THAT IS IT. read more

I guess I got what a paid for--a $17 French Manicure. I didn't know the cost when I came in; I only knew that Creative Design was highly rated on Yelp, so was open to paying any price for nice work. Located in a little strip mall in the heart of Vista this place truly is a gem. It is a cozy little nail salon with a handful of nail technicians. The place was very clean. I picked out a color from the wall o colors. They had a nice selection. They had a chair ready for me by the time I was done picking my color. I got the Callus removal pedicure. The nail tech was Julie. She was very nice. She cleaned up my nails and removed my callouses all while I got a massage from the chair. She did a great job of painting my nail and I loved the color. And for $22 buck it was more than worth it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a good pedicure. read more

After multiple times of coming back, they consistently break after the first week, I never make it to a second week without lifting, cracking, or breaking. Needed a location near me found this salon on Yelp. Pros: cool sign in for appointment includes a point system linked to your phone number AND free manicure on birthday. Great covid safety barriers. Pleasant nail techs. No wait, I called beforehand and didn't sit waiting. Parking lot. Good cuticle trimming etc. could have done better job on callous remover on pedi and better polish job. So I'm going to update my review again. My regular place (again) couldn't take me until much later so I went back here. Let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. I feel like this place is state of the art compared to the one I normally go to. I will post photos as well. But, the whole staff is not only friendly but also very accommodating. I got a gel pedicure and a full set done in maybe an hour and 10 mins, if that. The place is clean, equipment up to date and chairs new and comfy. I think I will make this my regular place again.
