The waiters, waitresses all pleasant, efficient and whoever trains them should train other restaurants of how a professional server conducts themselves. The receipt doesn't show suggested tip amounts and paying at front counter; I hope they can their well deserved tips... I assure to double back with cash after paying. Food very reasonable, and not a planned fancy expensive meal. The simple meals excellent... the pot roast dinner with 2-4 sides , hot biscuit, cornbread or chicken and dumplings, the fried chicken breast , meat loaf, etc... all perfect in front of the fireplace with a root beer ... Woohoo! My first time at Cracker Barrel! This one is located right by the Wrentham Outlets. I honestly go to the outlets quite often but never thought about going to Cracker Barrel before. They had a lot more things here than I thought! Lots of little trinkets, holiday-themed goods, & food. We didn't dine in but I believe they offer all day breakfast, how cool! So, the reason the led me here was that I was on the hunt for hello kitties (LOL) & I saw on their website they sold them... totally didn't expect that at all. I arrived thinking I'd be able to score a hello kitty, however, they didn't have any left in store. The store associate we spoke to was so kind & told us that they'll likely restock soon. Though I didn't end up leaving with a new Hello Kitty, I did get some new scented lotion! The lotion is actually very moisturizing & smells divine! This is the typical Cracker Barrel experience I expected. I knew what to expect and it fulfilled those expectations. Healthy? No. Delicious and homely vibe? Of course. Got the two side platter with meatloaf and dumplins with cheese and broccoli casserole and carrots . For dessert, had the Coke cake which is one of my favorite desserts anywhere. Impulsively, my friend and I decided to grab breakfast. When we arrived, I believe his name was Marco, a host, he immediately sprung into action and got us a table. He was polite. He pulled out our chairs, he looked you in the eye. Very pleasant, professional, extremely polite. It was like seeing old fashioned American hospitality like you read about. Not to mention our server Morgan, who was accommodating, polite, funny, and offered that same kindness and hospitality. That's very rare in the restaurant business. I view these people as human beings, with a lot of issues they may or may not have to deal with. The fact that they set aside the burdens of life and still work very hard, money cannot buy that. First off, the food I eventually got was tasty. I ordered the chicken fried steak. Food runner brought me grilled chicken. Wrong. Then she brought me chicken dippers. Wrong. I said I'll take them. From the moment we arrived we were met by Russell., what a nice pleasant and welcoming person to have greet you when you go to the restaurant- then we had Sonia our server, who was very sweet and polite- the kitchen didn't do the greatest job. They botched up my breakfast.- however, this brought out the manager Tatiana- and you couldn't get better than her managerial skills. She went over the top to make things right. More establishments should learn from the Cracker Barrel's hiring and training model because you just can't get better than the service like experienced today. In an effort to eat out alone more often, to overcome my fear of dining alone, I ended up here. I arrived at 8:00 and asked what time they closed for the evening. A very kind store assistant told me they close at 9 but I have plenty of time. I was seated at a table that was not totally clean. I was only a party of one and sat on the clean side of the table. I didn't comment on it to anyone, so that was all on me. I was quickly waited on by Leanne. Very attentive and sweet (busy) young girl. My idea for the evening was to get recommendations for what SHE liked. She suggested the maple bacon chicken and it did not disappoint. The serving was healthy sized and I walked away stuffed. Leanne also recommended their peach iced tea, which was delicious. The food was a bit slow coming out, but not Leanne's fault whatsoever. All in all, tasty fare, above and beyond pleasant waitress who was happy to make recommendations to me. I will be coming back to this location on Saturday nights as that is when Leanna's manager told me she works. Her upbeat demeanor made dining alone worth the while. I can't say enough good things about the incredible team at Cracker Barrel in Wrentham. From the moment we called ahead to arrange our visit, the managers and staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our family. My mom has recently become paralyzed due to cancer and this was her first time outside her home in quite some time, and they graciously set aside a private corner of the restaurant with plenty of space for her wheelchair, ensuring she was comfortable and safe. Not only did they accommodate her needs with kindness and care, but they also made sure the rest of our family was well taken care of--including me, as I flew in on leave to be with everyone. Their constant attentiveness and genuine compassion made what could have been a stressful experience into something truly special. Frequent diner at Wrentham. Things seem to have gone down hill over past several months/year or two. Last night had a rather poor experience. Hostess forgot to bring utensils when when she seated us. Waitress was semi-attentive but forgot to bring us utensils when we asked, even though there was food on the table. I forgot they will only cook burgers medium or more. No medium rare. Mine came well done, dry and rubbery. Should have sent it back but I was too aggravated. Had to take ketchup off another table because the waitress didn't check up on us and was nowhere to be found. Waitress also did not bring drink refills until we were pretty well done eating. On the way out, no one asked us how our dinner had been. I have been going to the Wrentham Cracker Barrel for a long time I love getting the southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes. me and my fiancé usually get the biscuits and cornbread, which are very fluffy and buttery. First, I love Crackerbarrel but the last two times I have been to Crackerbarrel, the food has been served BARELY warm. Eggs, pancakes, both warm and likely sitting waiting to be picked up for a lengthy amount of time. The bacon was ordered crispy and was not even warm and undercooked. While I think the food is good, the ability for their waitstaff to get the food from the kitchen on the two most recent occasions is bad. I've always had a love for Cracker Barrel. I went here with some friends after Black Friday shopping at the nearby outlet mall. We got seated after a short wait. However, it became very obvious that they were overwhelmed. They had one waitress that was literally covering the whole dining room. It took about 30 minutes till we were able to get our food order in. The server was very apologetic, but I couldn't even get mad since they were obviously short staffed. They turned away some customers after we got seated. The food was good for the most part. I got the Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast with Country Fried Steak, Hash brown Casserole, and all the fixin's. The steak was ok, but I will probably order something else next time. The sides were good and the sawmill gravy was excellent. My friends got the Southern Fried Chicken that was perfect and the better dish. Overall, I recommend Cracker Barrel. It's a chain, but it has a nice southern charm to it. Really really disappointed with my recent Cracker Barrel experience. I preordered a large to go family meal for Thanksgiving that I needed for an event. I drove about 45 minutes to pick up, and was directed by a sign in the pick up area to pull around the back of the store, which I did. After waiting, I called the store and was told to come to the front. I told them their sign directed me to the back, to which the person on the sign said "ok...I can help you around front." I pulled back around and the sign had been removed. My food came out in a huge cardboard box, and I drove home with it. When unpacking the box, I discovered that my pies were not included, neither were the tablecloth and plates that were supposed to be in there, or the gift card that the website promised. I called the store and was told to drive back. I explained that it was kind of a hike for me and I'd like to talk to a manager. I was told a manager would call me. After waiting a while with no response, I drove back to the store. They came out with my pies, no tablecloth/plates/gift card. I asked to speak with a manager, who did come to the doorway but didn't seem to want to actually talk to me. She eventually did, explaining that the gift card gets sent by email she thinks, but she didn't know anything else about it. No apology, not even an acknowledgment of the fact that this was a total inconvenience. I understand it's a busy time of year, but customer service is key, and these holiday to go meals are not cheap. Will not make the mistake of using them for holiday food again. Kinda of a crap shoot with service. Some people with 1 star on their apron are way better servers than some of the 4 stars people. Stay away from Rosie Lee. The server from Tennessee is great though. We usually only come here during the holidays because it's cozy, but sometimes the fire isn't even lit which is disappointing.
