    UNCOOKED PALE PANCAKES!!

What a disaster! This location should be 100% SHUTDOWN!! I have never been to a Cracker Barrel that served us UNCOOKED RAW pancakes! Well this location thought it was ok to serve us RAW, PALE pancakes and uncooked scrambled eggs! In addition the incompetent and careless kitchen staff, you have servers and hostesses that sit patrons ON TOP OF EACH OTHER in an EMPTY restaurant! SPACE PEOPLE OUT!!! No one wants to be listening to other people's conversation or staring at other people!!!! Use some damn common sense!!!

Cracker Barrel still serving healthy and delicious meat and vegetables on real plates. Everything was great!

Great services, attention was on point, my order was ready in 15 minutes. The food was great. The waitress was wonderful. Nice place to have breakfast on a Monday.

Came here for nostalgia vibes with my daughter. I must admit the food delivery to your table and tasty food is always a good county vibe! Our waitress Kristin was phenomenal! Great customer service from the manager as well. I love shopping there as well. I will be returning soon!

I stopped in at Cracker Barrel for a little breakfast, but yet the breakfast was not that little; I ordered the mama sampler which came with a little bit of everything, including delicious crisp on the edge pancakes. We were seated quickly and our server Kyia was great. All of the food came out hot and perfect to our order. Although breakfast was delightful the little lady dressed like an elf in a red and black plaid shirt and matching hat, wasn't that pleasant. I'm going to need Santa's helper to get a refresher course on front of the house etiquette because she was extremely distracted and was clearly lacking in that department.

I really want to like this place but honestly it just doesn't do it for me. It always so crowded inside you can hardly move to look at any of the stuff in the store. Wait times are always long and you're lucky if your order comes out right the first time. I went with my dad and he ordered breakfast and they forgot his eggs. By the time they came out he was done with pretty much all his food. I ordered a new chicken dish they had, and it came out missing stuff that was posed to be on top. Just a complete disappointment. Only reason gave another star is because at least my waitress was friendly and trying her best in spite of all the tables she had to serve.

Typically, when someone from a restaurant reaches out to me about my review, especially when they are not 5 star, I instantly become skeptical. However, this owner made me feel comfortable to share my thoughts and explain how my visit went before anything else. Over the years, I have received tons of owners offering me a free meal in exchange for my integrity but I could tell this owner was extremely genuine and wanted to make sure my voice was heard. The initial post will remain the same but I wanted to amend some of the initial remarks including the service. The first time I tried this place, I received service that was not in alignment to the core values and standards this restaurant upholds, which, I am human and I have worked in food service for years so trust me, I get it. Since being back twice since my initial visit, I have been treated like family. The service has been up to par and the staff has been incredibly friendly. As far as the ambiance, it gives the feel of an old diner which makes it charming and lovable. Perhaps, some restorations and furnishings can be done nothing that isn't manageable. Lastly, I wanted to make sure to do a thorough review of the menu so when I went back twice after my initial review, I tried a menu item for each the breakfast menu and the dinner menu. The food was great! It was favorable, warm and packed with fresh ingredients. I tried the ribs and Mac and cheese as well as a breakfast plate on two separate occasions without letting the restaurant know I was coming back for a remake. The only thing I wasn't super thrilled about was the Mac and Cheese, other than that it was good. It goes to saying that their standards are commendable as they do care about their service, food and experience of the customers.

Single "Fluffy" Pancake Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. Nothing fluffy about it and it was thin and overcooked. Definitely room for improvement here. Apple Butter & Biscuits The apple butter paired with their biscuits? Chef's kiss. Absolutely delicious. Overall: I'd still recommend Flying Biscuit if you're looking for a warm, hearty breakfast spot. There are definite hits on the menu, and with a few tweaks, the experience could be even better. Biscuits and gravy are a southern staple and rarely have I had any that were really good, except here at Vicious Biscuit. Biscuits are their business. The most important elements are the biscuits and the gravy. Additions are many and varied, but if the basic two items are not both excellent, you will have a disappointing experience. The Vicious biscuit is the size of a hamburger bun. It is soft and there are bits of spice in the dough. These biscuits do not fall apart, but stay together and serve to soak up the wonderful sausage gravy that is poured on top of it. You can order just a biscuit with gravy for $8. And if you are timid, start here. Otherwise, there are add-ons like very good fried chicken, shrimp and grits, ham, pulled smoked pork, crab, bacon, fried shrimp. fried eggs and other combos. Super choices, so take time to study the menu which is extensive. Portions are great, very generous. I had their Vicious ($12). It was their Cheddar jalapeño biscuit, crispy fried chicken, maple sausage gravy, cowboy candy, with maple syrup drizzle. I was hesitant as to the maple syrup, but it is just enough to give accent to the gravy, but not super sweet. Wife had Fried Green 'Maters ($9.50) which were four fried green tomatoes, their signature pimento cheese with a pickled okra garnish. She could not eat it all, so I helped finish off the lone tomato and a bit of the cheese. Very good. Vicious Biscuit is more that a meal, it is an experience, even a journey, through this traditional southern staple, biscuits and gravy. Enjoy the trip. We might see you there.

I came in here on a quiet Sunday afternoon and we elected to sit outside in their walled in patio area. It was a pleasant place to sit and our service was prompt and friendly. For my sandwich I chose the turkey chipotle bacon without the tomatoes. The sandwich tasted great and the bread was toasted nicely. If I have one complaint it's that for $14.00 I think the sandwich could have been a bit bigger, or maybe I was just too hungry because I scarfed it down in an instant! Still the chips that accompanied it were a good snack and I enjoyed my meal. This is definitely a good spot to grab a lunch, I wish I had more time and I would have enjoyed the opportunity to browse their market. Matthews has a lot of great locally owned spots and this is for sure one of them.
