Visited today and had an amazing experience! Love the gift area. Some many cool items to purchase. The good was delicious. Nice big servings. Took about 15 mins to get order which is nothing especially because they were busy. No wait to be seated. Alison was amazing! What a great server. Had refills before we even knew we needed them. She came over every little while to check on us with a great big smile on her face. Lots of fried chicken on the menu. I noticed burgers, steak, pancakes, french toast. Cracker Barrel scared me the first time I dined there. We had pulled up well past sundown, in a city in the southern US. This was about 30 years ago but I can still picture exactly where we sat as I tried to disappear into that booth - and I can still taste the comfort of that first bite of pot roast. Just like my mom's. She had passed not too long before. It warmed my soul. I have been to the Buckeye Cracker Barrel at least three times. Every time, I order the pot roast and I *will* it to be like that first time. It never is. Not that it's bad. It's just not mom's. But, I at least feel in proximity to that comfort. The other thing that never changes is where we are seated at this Cracker Barrel. Always, we're the first table in the middle section, just on the other side of the partition. We arrived when only two other tables were occupied, both in the first section when you come in the restaurant. First time here - came for an early dinner. I love the store and all the different things they have. Very fun to check out! Our waitress was nice. We ordered the country fried steak and the tender chicken dippers. There was another waitress who brought our food out and we were missing one of the dipping sauces and the corn muffin that went with the chicken tenders. When we waved down our normal waitress and she brought the missing sauce and muffin, but also a bowl of corn that went didn't order. The country fried steak was dry, but okay. The chicken dippers were good. Overall, it was okay. Might try breakfast here sometime, but probably not lunch or dinner. read more

Went to this restaurant on June 4, 2026 only to be questioned about my two service dogs who were in a dog stroller. Had to show their identification cards to the manager who then said service dogs should not be in a stroller. Manager then informed me that I could not give my dog a treat at the table. This is always a favorite for some of us in Buckeye. It stays very crowded on Fridays and especially Sundays for breakfast. We had a party of 9 and although they do not take reservations (as we were told) some of us got there early for a table. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast choices but if you're looking for a little lunch, it's served after 11am. I just tried their cinnamon rolls which were excellent. They do have some new items on the menu so check them out. Our waitress kept our drinks filled, and checked on us even with 3 other tables. Checking out the ladies were friendly and so polite. Stopped in for lunch. I had the grilled chicken tenders, green beans and carrots. Everything tasted great, however I wish they would take the few extra seconds to remove the tendons on these strips. Husband had the French toast Grammas breakfast. He said everything was very good. Service was spotty and my coffee was empty for most of the meal, which is frustrating with the cost of the coffee. So good! I've only visited Cracker Barrel once when I was on vacation in TN. Everything we had was good! The service was okay, I totally understand that breakfast time is usually busy so we did have to wait a while for things and remind our waitress but it was nothing to stress about. The country fried chicken was so good. Their hashbrowns are pretty jazzed up so it's not my favorite but everything else was good. On our way back to California, we decided to stop for a meal. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the best, though I don't believe it was the staff's fault--it was just extremely busy. We were seated promptly, but the wait afterward was pretty long. It took about 35 minutes after ordering to get our food, and some of it arrived cold, likely from sitting out too long. The food itself was decent, but our waitress was overwhelmed and unable to be as attentive as we would've hoped. Not sure I'd return unless the restaurant had enough staff to handle the crowd. read more

Sadly, this was the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. We arrived at 1218pm for lunch. Place serves breakfast all day. There were four of us. Service: three coffees three waters, one cold tea. Coffees came warm, add cream turns cool. Server took orders. We ordered biscuit beignets for before breakfast. Another server helped dumped the syrup all over table and my step father in law. He had to get cleaned up in the bathroom. Three of our party ordered breakfast with pancakes. I ordered steak and eggs. Steak desired doneness medium rare, eggs over medium, hash brown crispy well done. The others said their pancakes were deflated chewy, not fluffy. But, tasty. They ate everything. My plate burnt steak, hash browns were crumbled and flakey not pressed and crispy hash brown at all and so salty that it didn't make sense. I did not want the casserole hash brown. Eggs; one was over medium, one was well done. I ate the egg white on the over cooked egg, didn't want the well done yolk. The other egg I ate. The steak made me literally cry it was black charred jerky, I ate one and because I was starving. My husband kept asking me if I was okay. I wasn't. I had to tell our server that I needed to speak with her. When the beignets were served there were no plates. I got syrup on myself because I had to eat off of a napkin. The coffee, we had finished our coffees and were out of all liquids after 35 mins. We didn't get our food until 1:15pm. Almost one hour. Everyone rise including the firearm instructor group of 20 got their food faster than us. Really, I'm not sure what happened with the whole situation, but I don't want to go there ever again. Traumatizing experience. The nicest person was our cashier. We left a $20 tip because they took the beignets off the bill and the steak breakfast off the bill. They should have taken my step father in laws off too because of wearing the syrup all over his shirt. And I'm not sure it was the servers fault or the kitchen. It sucks either way that we had to go through all that. :( But, it was thoughtful of them I guess to do what they did. read more

This location was kind of a let down... majority of our food was bland or overcooked. I didn't realize all the locations don't have the same type of Mac n cheese or other sides though. A lot of the sides we had seemed to... hate to say it but like microwaved food. Very disappointing. We also felt rushed out and the tables were not busy or full, lots of sour faces from the staff. Just a very odd experience from the other locations I have been to. Could have just been a bad day for some but the food... not too sure about that. The place was pretty much empty since it was about 3:45p.m. After waiting a short time I was seated and told my waitress would be right over. So after waiting about 20 min. my waitress finally comes over and apologizes for the wait as she thought another waitress was taking care of me. I ordered and it came out very quickly (a little to quickly) food was just ok. I could tell it was not fresh and they didn't even bother to really heat it up. I ate and drank my lemonade and that was it. I never saw or heard from my waitress again, she never came back to check on me or ask how the food was or if I needed a refill on my drink which I did want. So its been awhile since we've eaten here. Our group of ladies eat out every Thursday at all types of restaurants. The store was fabulous as always. It was 11:30 am when we were seated and it was not busy at all for a weekday lunch. We ordered our food which took over 30 minutes to get. Our drinks we had to ask for refills, we had to ask for napkins we had to ask for ketchup. The orders were mostly correct but everyones food was not hot, just barely warm. The shrimp and french fries look old and tasted awful! Not even edible. The turkey lunch special was very delicious. My salad came after all the lunches were handed out and then I had to ask for it. I will say the lettuce was fresh and cold. Server never came by to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. With so many choices in the Valley now I don't believe we'll be coming back here again. read more

ZERO STARS!!! Wife wanted to go after great experiences in Indiana. This is the WORST SERVICE I have ever had at a restaurant (and I am 70 years old)! Came into thr restaurant 1/2 empty and after getting seated, had to wait 20 to get an order placed. After waiting almost 40 minutes for food and being told "I will check on it" 3-4 times, saw 2 tables being served food who walked in 30-40 minutes after us! Cracker Barrel had a bit of everything from rustic ambience, comfort food, and a fantastic gift shop. It wasn't too busy when I was there, so I was fortunate to be sat immediately. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. Ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Meatloaf was super tender and filling. I liked the flavor a lot of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but I felt both could have had more seasoning. The country fried streak was delicious! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I really enjoyed the cornbread and biscuits. The gift shop was amazing! I was impressed to see a wide variety of items to sell such as candy, jewelry, mugs, candles, cards, bags, clothing, toys, and holiday decorations. What a warm, inviting restaurant! Employees were masked, and so were we. But masks were not mandated. The store, the restaurant and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Danielle was a wonderful waitress! She brought our hot teas and Coke Zero quickly. When she brought our meals, she brought two more tea bags, and 2 to go cups with hot water. Husband didn't want Coke Zero to go. Niece and I savored and loved our meals - chicken and dumplings for her & chicken pot pie for me. Husband ALWAYS gets the country fried steak with extra gravy - his favorite. It was as delicious as he expected. This was a great place to stop on our way to Phoenix - not too busy late at night (7 PM) & we did not feel hurried. Never tried Cracker Barrel until now. It's not because we don't have one back in California. I just never got around to it. A road trip rest stop justified the visit. Tried their fried chicken with a side of fried okra and hash brown (had cheese in it). It came with a side of two. Given we had two orders for two people, I also tried the mashed potatoes and gravy. It also included your choice of a corn muffin and/or biscuit. The food is on the bland side, but I thought it was great nonetheless. They are known for welcoming RV travelers. I've seen at least 3 RVers who stayed the night. This was really cool. If you are wondering what's the best way of exiting the parking lot with a travel trailer, It would be the traffic light intersection a little passed Lowe's. This would avoid the need of a U turn. I advise using Google Maps as it helped tremendously if you are not from around here. read more
