Hash
Stacy F.

The hash was large enough to share, it comes with a piece of toast and 2 eggs we had on the side. Good flavor with the goat cheese on top. The fresh juice is a great morning pick-me up I highly recommend it! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean and homey feeling. I will be back to try new things!

Shoutout to Perla for great service! We got here at 9am on Sunday and there was barely any wait. We enjoyed the Chimichurri steak & eggs hash, Farmhouse hash, and chocolate chip pancakes. Coffee is hot, syrup is warm, and food is solid.

We had the chimi steak and egg hash and the kids chocolate chip pancakes. Honestly the chimi dish was amazing st twice the price. Complex and delicious. The kids portion was very large and had perfectly cooked crispy bacon. (Sub 8 dollars). 5/5 or 10/10

Great new breakfast spot in Verrado. The ambiance is warm, modern, clean and welcoming. The service is fast, friendly and attentive. The food options are plenty and the coffee is never ending and fresh! The biscuit and gravy is really taste, the eggs cooked as requested and the breakfast potatoes were cooked amazing and tasted even better. My wife loved her avocado hash and my son's half waffle was fluffy and hit the spot. My daughter loved her yogurt with fruit and muffin. The service, food and atmosphere is what you would come to expect for a First Watch and this one doesn't disappoint I love having a great breakfast spot down the street!!

Mine and Hubbys first time and it didn't disappoint! He got the chimichurri steak hash and ate it all!! He Said it was that good! We shared their blueberry lemon cornbread and it was heavenly! We also got the tres leches French toast and the power wrap! Tres leches French toast was really good could only take a few bites as it was super sweet for me but the power wrap was sooooo delicious for only being 500 calories, also it was super tasty as well! Our server Angallah was attentive and great! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and we will be back! Found our new breakfast spot! Oh and their Pineapple Express was refreshing and their hot coffee was great as well! Not a bad thing we had!!

Overall the food is fair. Service is good and the ambiance is nice. The food could have been more tasty. But the price is fair.

The warm plates were delivered with hot cakes. The real, whipped cow butter had already started melting. There was even butter between the cakes -- already melted. The cakes were griddled to perfection. Light and fluffy. Not too thin. Not too thick. A perfect shade of light brown with hints of yellow from the egg-rich batter. Plateside, a gleaming mini-pitcher of warm syrup. Yes, warm. Not in a bottle. In unison we syrup-ed the cakes. First bite: swoonville! I would swear I could taste vanilla (a favorite!) and a hint of acid á la the buttermilk. For protein, Mike and I are firmly rooted in the belief that sausage is the best accompaniment. (With Cheers' Cliff Claven-esque pontificating: bacon's too close to the overall flavor of pancakes and syrup. Sausage cuts through with its salty/herb-y goodness.) And the kitchen delivered two perfectly-browned and -sized pork sausage links. Mild of spice, the links were delicious. The skin popped and cracked with each cut 'n' chew. Service? Our waitron was perfect. Aprés serving, she checked on us twice. Told us to take our time. And, refilled our coffee cups to the half point just like we asked. Again, told us no rush. Asked how we wanted to pay, I said we'd split the ticket fiddy-fiddy. And in mere moments she arrived with two tickets. Upshot? In his inimitable way Mike summed "If this is the way this place cooks and serves pancakes, I'll be back. And with our tummies full, our brains caffeinated we exited the joint through the always unlocked -- and convenient -- side door into a sun-drenched environ.

The Heritage - When the Reuben is this good there's nothing left

The Heritage

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a decade…read more Over the years, Americans have converted breakfast to a corporate affair. Today, our breakfasts are experienced at places like "Over Easy," "First Watch," "Village Inn," and "Denny's." It's industrial breakfast. The old-fashioned, mom-and-pop diners are as rare as a hen's tooth. But not in Buckeye, Arizona. The Heritage is a welcome return to the great, neighborhood breakfast counters of old. It's privately owned and the owner, Kevin, greets you and stops by your table. "That's great," you say. But what about the food? And that's where The Heritage makes its name. Let's start with the homemade, pillowy sourdough English muffins. Most places use some industrial-food English muffin preserved with disgusting ingredients like L-Cysteine. These aren't those. These are like your grandma made. They're soft, yeasty circles of beauty with just enough sourdough taste to send your tastebuds into bread heaven. They're a far cry from your basic English muffin. On to the eggs. Most breakfast restaurants use liquid eggs from the restaurant supply. They come in big bags, bereft of nutritious value and flavor, but full of preservatives. Not these. The Heritage uses fresh eggs and they've perfected how to make them fluffy, buttery, and perfectly-cooked. No brown spots or runny middles. It's egg perfection. The sausage is really different. These are not your usual Sysco or Shamrock greasy pucks. They're thin and fresh and meaty and just slightly spicy (not hot just slightly herby). They're a subtle flavor surprise. And fork tender. The potatoes are little cubes of rich goodness. Cooked just right and golden brown. They're excellent. To finish off the breakfast, Heritage serves a luscious Carmel pecan roll with a vanilla glaze. I liked it but it was slightly dry if I want to be ridiculously nit-picky. But most people wouldn't even notice. All of it is served by some smiling young women who were working hard and answering lots of questions. The entire service experience was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. On a Saturday morning the place was PACKED so service was slightly slow. Though nothing like a crazy morning at Over-Easy or First Watch. What an amazing and pleasant surprise this little restaurant is. Their breakfast burrito looked excellent and everybody around us was raving about it. I'll try that next. The menu is small but efficient and contains some little gems. Give the cinnamon roll a try too! This is an absolute must for breakfast or brunch. And I hear the owner is thinking about offering dinner in the near future. A needed find in a historic building in old downtown Buckeye. A new favorite.

It's a smash burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, smash sauce, and pickle. You get the option of chips, fries, or a side salad. I ordered it no onions, double patty, with fries. If I had to rate it, I'd say 7/10. The fries were just cooked enough and almost had a hint of being undercooked. The burger itself was pretty tasty, but if the bun was a little softer, I would've given it a solid 9/10. Still, their breakfast is always delicious, and that's usually what keeps us coming back.

The moment you walk in, you're met with a warm, farmhouse vibe, complete with sheep-themed décor that somehow manages to be both charming and unpretentious. It feels like the kind of place where you can settle in, relax, and enjoy a meal without any fuss. The food is consistently hearty, well-prepared, and priced in a way that reminds you that good breakfast doesn't have to break the bank. Whether you're in the mood for classic staples or something a little more filling, they deliver every time. The staff is another standout: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming in a way that adds to the overall experience. They open early--which is perfect for early risers like me--but they close early as well, so plan ahead if you're thinking of a late lunch. Conveniently tucked just off the main drag on Lower Buckeye, it's easy to get to and checks all the boxes for what a local breakfast spot should be. I've been here several times now, and it's officially my go-to place whenever I'm in town and craving a solid, satisfying breakfast. Keep up the great work, Sheep Camp!

Every time, I order the pot roast and I *will* it to be like that first time. It never is. Not that it's bad. It's just not mom's. But, I at least feel in proximity to that comfort. The other thing that never changes is where we are seated at this Cracker Barrel. Always, we're the first table in the middle section, just on the other side of the partition. We arrived when only two other tables were occupied, both in the first section when you come in the restaurant. When we left, that first section was nearly full, and no one was sat in the middle section where we were. It was oddly comforting, to always be at that table. But, odd.
