Some of the best seafood in St Augustine! This is my second time here and both times have been amazing. Last night we came back with a big party of 11 people. We did call ahead sitting and it worked out perfectly. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and drinks were great. We got several appetizers (calamari, crab and spinach dip, and crab stuffed mushrooms. They were all delicious and our favorite was the mushrooms! We ordered a lot of different meals too and there was not one bad meal. Everyone highly enjoyed them and lots of sharing going on. One of the favorites of our table was the Hogfish Imperial. Although we left a $10 cash tip on the table, the waitress went on to add an additional $10 to our credit card for a second tip which we did not notice until arriving home. When we called Crabby's to explain what had happened, we were on the phone for a long time with the manager as she requested our credit card details and all that had happened. Additionally she asked us to send an email explaining what had happened & send a photo of our receipt. Even after this phone call and two emails, no response was ever received and no refund given. Watch out for this if you leave cash on the table! Our meal was fine, but nothing amazing, and quite expensive... especially as we were doubly charged for a tip! The service I had was good with the waitress Brooke, but that's about all. I ordered crab dip which was not flavorful. Calamari was ok but too much breading but the jalapeños with it was good. Ordered grouper for dinner that was under cooked inside and overcooked outside. The hostess handed me my own menu to walk myself upstairs. The manager said it was due to a shortage but everyone I saw after me was brought up by a hostess and I was the only person of color I saw so honestly I wondered if that was the reason. I don't see myself ever coming back. I don't care how short staffed I was I would never handed the customer their menu and directed them how to get upstairs. This was so disappointing. My siblings and I along with our spouses went to Crabby's Beachside Sunday evening and were very happy with our food. It was the first time that we had eaten there. The food was very fresh and very filling. Our server Lilly was phenomenal!! She was patient with us and gave some good recommendations. She also dealt with us which can be a handful at times. Sat at the inside bar today and had an awesome afternoon. Our bartender, Carol Ann, was great. Went through the specials menu with us, drink menus and answered all of our questions. We ended up doing a couple of the appetizers which were delicious. The fish dip and the BamBam shrimp. Highly recommend. The service was good. Attentive staff. We were seated outdoors on the upper deck with a view of the ocean. All the fish dishes ordered at our table were generous portions, fresh, and moist. However, the raw oysters were not fresh or cold. Very disappointing in that one can only order by the dozen. read more

Well, I really wanted to like this, but no. went for the combination of music and food. poor Brian was stuck on the front patio, no shade at the outside tables, so he played, sadly, to no one. Service was good. menu very overpriced, $36 for scallops at lunch, $20 for grouper sandwich! server said you could add a salad for 1.99. bill added $4.99, she went to correct it, it was $2.99. Seriously, the manager had to come over and interpret the pricing on the menu, even the server got it wrong. I live here, I bring guests out to the beach for a dining experience, imho, there are much better places. I miss Panama Hatties. read more

This was our first visit to Crabby's. first just want to say the food was amazing I would definitely recommend. our waitress where Kiya and Nykiki. just want to say from the moment we sat down they where on top of there game very friendly, nice, and welcoming. just made us feel that we are welcomed. they definitely need a raise. they where on top of everything, made sure we had refills, food was out on time and everything! As an island resident of St. Augustine I know the importance of supporting local restaurants. Sadly my wife and I's experience having dinner, at the upstairs bar at Crabby's (on a slow night at the restaurant), was easily the worst dining experience we have had (here or anywhere). The bar staff was rude, inattentive, and the food was terrible. We split the Blackened Grouper Sandwich with fries and I had two lite beers. The sandwich arrived late, cold, and the portion of fish was comically small (and it tasted like a fish sandwich from a fast food chain). Further our server mistakenly billed us for multiple menu items, that another customer ordered and consumed, easily doubling what we should have been billed. That night, and for weeks following we spoke with Crabby's management and the message was always the same. "I will refund you 100% and we look forward to having you come back". Sadly, she never took action, we were never refunded a single penny, and now we've had to dispute the charge with American Express. In short the food is terrible and the staff and management were as their name implies ("Crabby"). Two thumbs down, terrible food and service, and we'll never return. One star = F- read more

Bright and inviting. No handicapped outdoor eating. The very inviting outdoor rooftop can only be accessed by a flight of stairs. Stopped for lunch with hopes of eating outdoors on a beautiful 80 degree day. However, 2 of the three of us couldn't climb stairs. Staff was friendly and attentive. Menu has a nice selection and it appears it's priced as a dinner menu. Personnally, I thought it was a little pricey for lunch. Be prepared to have a lunch that starts at about $20. Of course it's prices are inline with the competition which I believe are also pricey. Being local I guess I better learn to live with it. But I won't be back until I can eat outside with my lunch guests read more

While they're food is delicious, they took 2 hours to get our food out and when they did get it out half of the orders were wrong and had to get sent back. The server was very nice but I feel as he might have been new. read more

Today was our second visit here and we were lucky enough to have the same server both times, Shain. He was so attentive both times and made some wonderful suggestions. This place should be at the top of your list. Live music. Outdoor games while you wait. The oysters will not disappoint and the clam chowder is phenomenal. We have enjoyed everything we have tried so far. Only problem is our stomachs are never large enough. read more

I know this restaurant just opened and still working out the logistical bumps but I had an amazing experience sitting at the upstairs bar for a few VERY COLD drafts and a bowl of chowder with stuffed mushrooms (both delicious). overall food was great. our server did a fine job. it was just a little uncomfortable when our server Nicki hit another worker in the back of the head with her tray. I think our server was in a rush when this occurred, however she rolled her eyes when she did this and did not apologize to the poor girl. my family was left uneasy and uncomfortable after watching this.
