For a small restaurant, Crab N Spice really knows how to pack the house! I had heard so much about this spot from word of mouth and social media, so I knew I had to try it. Since I was dining alone, I was seated quickly, but I noticed that larger parties had a much longer wait--one family of 10 waited at least an hour. If you're coming with a big group, just be prepared to wait. When I got my menu, I had a tough time deciding between trying different items with the all-you-can-eat option or going for a seafood boil with a lobster tail and adding extras à la carte. After some deliberation, I went with the all-you-can-eat. While waiting for my food, I took advantage of the conveniently placed hand-washing station next to the soda machine--such a great touch for a crab boil spot! My food started arriving, but I was a little surprised that everything (except the crab bucket) came at once instead of my starter coming out first. My fries were cold and undercooked, which was a letdown, but everything else was hot, juicy, and absolutely delicious. Plus, free soda refills were a nice bonus! The only downsides for me were the cold fries and the small venue, which makes wait times longer, especially with the all-you-can-eat option. We only made it through 2 rounds (classic case of our eyes being hungrier than our stomachs). Everything was so good. There was no staff in sight. After what felt like an eternity, a server finally acknowledged me ten minutes later because the hostess decided to check in. She told us to wait yet another 15 minutes beyond the original prep time. Then, on a busy Friday night, I had to stand in a line just to collect my order. After all that waiting, when I finally got home with my food, I was shocked to find it was cold. The fries were lukewarm, the fish from the fish and chips was also cold, and there wasn't nearly enough sauce for our seafood boil. I can say with confidence this was my first and last time at this location. The newest place to be. My sister and I came last week and again today. It's been our newest catch up and grab while doing the AYCE! We always start with the Cajun fries! We have the crawfish, whole shrimp, and snow crabs (free first round). We get it the whole bag crab n spice flavor in the heat level assassinate. DELICIOUS. But the food isn't the only thing having us come, the service is amazing! The food and drinks come out fast. They are attentive to our needs (lemons, salt, etc). They are always so friendly and the establishment is really clean. This last time we had Steph and Kaye serve us. They offered us a refill before our cups went empty.
