Servers and hosts have always been friendly but the food is just not that good. And doesn't match the price for sure. I mean, scoop fries with guacamole instead of chips? Guacamole and fries? Salads are good, the Yuzu Kale Is like a garden in your mouth. The Halibut is very good. Our first trip to Coyne's and it won't be our last. Highly recommend the guacamole with potato scoops. The bar was quick to get drinks to the table. Our server - Carla (?) - was exceptionally attentive despite the full patio. My husband said his herb roasted chicken was perfect. I had the poke bowl - and this is where they lose a star. Everything about the poke bowl was fabulous except the rice (which is an important part of that dish). The rice was perhaps Minute Rice or something similar - texture and taste of cardboard. Not what you'd expect from an establishment such as this. If they get a better quality rice, I'd order that bowl again in a heartbeat. read more

1st visit was very good. I will definitely come back. The happy hour had many good options for both food and drink. I ordered the "Here and Now" for my first drink. It was very good. A bit sweet for my personal taste, but very good. There was a really good smoky earthiness to the cocktail. My server recommended I try the Tempura Vegetables from the Happy Hour Menu.... Had late lunch on the patio there on Friday 8/7.... We had the poke nachos as an app. I had the cheeseburger and my wife had the Butlers Steak Risotto. Both were really delicious. Even though cooked correctly, The internal temperature on my cheeseburger was almost like it sat and cooled while they finished my wife's meal. Once again I give Coyne's another chance and this time was the last. There was a large group and most ordered the guacamole and fries. It's truly the only thing they do consistent and well. I got the arctic char with rice and veggies. Thank goodness there was rice and veggies. The fish was so dry it was not even edible. In addition it had a very funky flavor, almost like it was on the verge of going bad. It was gross and a waste of $34. Someone in our party got the Mediterranean steak salad. They emphasized that they wanted the steak well well done. No pink whatsoever. The waiter rudely interrupted and said the steak was on kabobs. What that has to do with anything is beyond me. Low and behold the steak was NOT well done. Another uneaten meal. There was no talking to the waiter as he never came back except to bring our checks and take quite a few full plates away. Went in last week for a date night and was not disappointed. We had reservations, so we were seated right away and greeted by our server. We started with the Coyne's salad which was very good, we enjoyed the pistachios in it. My husband ordered the short rib Colorado which was fabulous! I will be ordering that next time, it was filled with so much flavor! I had the halibut with lemon rossotto. The fish had a mild light flavor but was cooked well and the rossotto was very good. For dessert we ordered the churro waffle which was always very good. Overall it was a nice night out and we will definitely return again. read more

Reminds me a lot of Eagles other new restaurant, Crave. There are a couple of good dishes, but most lack flavor and aren't something I would order again. I hadn't been here before about a year ago, but my boyfriend loves this place, so he's taken me and my family out to eat here multiple times. Although the meat-filled food isn't my taste (I don't eat beef or pork, so I can't really say what's good), I can devour a cauliflower masala like no other. They have options for everyone. Great service and atmosphere. Unfortunately our food was way too salty. The homemade chips that came with the guac were nearly inedible due to the amount of salt. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because service and wine were great. The food is not good. Husband had overcooked halibut with way overcooked asparagus and wild rice. Wild rice and halibut do not go together. I had scallops. Scallops were good but they pair it with very strong cauliflower rice and broccolini. Way too strong for delicate scallops. There is a reason that fish are generally accompanied with rice pilaf and/asparagus. Whoever planned the menu, they are way way off and yes I am chef trained. Thought we would give Coyne's another try. Made reservation and made special request for our favorite seating area. We arrived and hostess said "We have your table for you". In my mind I thought to myself "oh wow! Good for her, reading the request." Shown to table in completely different area. I really believe that the staff either don't read any special requests, or don't care. I really don't understand why there is a spot for a special request when making reservation - staff never notice it. I understand that there are never guarantees, but no mention of anything at all - truly believe the requests are never read by staff. Anyway, we sit. Let's make the best of it. Order our favorite beet salad. Mine with salmon. My husbands with chicken. We also order our drinks. During the entire meal, the waiter never came around and asked if we wanted another drink. He even walked past our table several times, and I had our empty glasses on the edge of table, hoping he might notice. But he never noticed. I felt invisible. Also, in the beginning, we sat for about 20 minutes and I noticed other people getting the great warm rolls and yummy butter. But we never were offered any. So, I had to flag the waiter down after 20 minutes of sitting there and I politely asked if we could have rolls. I thought to myself that maybe things have changed? Maybe you have to ask for them now? Anyway, same experience as usual. We felt like a number. They just want us in and out. Our waiter could care less about us. I remember when Coynes first opened, wow! I felt so special - like the service at Chandler's!! But things have changed. Perhaps the entire restaurant and staff was having an "off" night. We waited 15 minutes for our reservations, were seated by the bathroom and received nothing above basic niceties from the moment we entered until we left. For this price tag it is not recommended. Must try!!! Such a great dinner experience! We had the Jerk Chicken, the Cheeseburger, and the Spaghetti Squash Pesto. The chicken was tender, the burger had white cheddar truffle cheese (YUM), and the spaghetti squash was pipping hot and flavorful. All three were AMAZING! My daugther and son-in-law made dinner reservations. Since it was their first dine-in, in months, we decided to prepay the bill, as a Total Surprise. I went inside and made arrangements ($80 cash plus $20 to host to 'take care of them'), which included $0.25 cents from my 7 year old granddaughter, because she wanted to contribute. We also left a card. They completely screwed it up - no surprise. The night auditor caught the FAILURE, and they did apply the $. The restaurant is still lovely and a place I want to frequent. I went a couple of months ago and met a friend for a COCKTAILS, And had such a great experience. Tonight I met with friends I had not seen in a while we sat outside. The service was not quite what it was when I was there before but still good. My meal... Was the Spasta Pesto, Which I had no idea, but sounded very fun. Had it Been served hot and not overcooked, I think it would've been lovely. But unfortunately, it was overcooked to the point of the spaghetti squash being mushy! I was a bit disappointed. My salad however just being a house salad was amazing and again the service was good. I realize these are hard times, and I have worked in the restaurant business for 30+ years so I know... I did not Comment about my food.
