This South Korean powerhouse puts out some really interesting and unique collections, such as the recent botanical collection, jewelry collections, and have major collaborations with artists such as Jennie, fashion houses like Maison Margiela, and more. This is one of two physical locations in California at the moment, and walking in feels like visiting an art exhibit. Each location is unique, and I feel that the installment at the South Coast location is fairly interesting. There's always a ton of different collections out on display that you can try on, and workers all around if you have questions. From my experience, they've always been kind and helpful, and you can always be in touch with a sales associate if a particular frame is sold out and you want to stay updated when they get one in stock! You can always come in whenever you want as well to get your frames adjusted which is convenient, as sometimes mine would get loose and I can just come in and be serviced. While the price may seem high, I believe that the quality of every frame is high up there, added with service and uniqueness, it all is a worth while investment and small luxury upgrade.

He helped us really fast and adjusted the glasses perfectly. I think the awareness he has while working is insanely impressive. I rarely come across people like that so I had to leave a review. Appreciate you!

What makes this even more upsetting is that my family and I have made countless purchases from Sunglass Hut over the years, and it is extremely disappointing to see how we were treated during this visit. We went in so my mom could browse and try on frames she was considering for prescription glasses. We were approached by a sales representative named Kathy, who initially asked if we needed help. We politely told her we were just browsing and that my mom was still deciding. Just a couple minutes later, she approached us again and asked the same question. We again politely said we were okay and that my mom was simply indecisive and still looking. She came up a third time and continued to pressure my mom while she was actively trying on frames. My mom told her she was still deciding, but Kathy then took the frames directly out of my mom's hand and said, "Let me put that back for you," even though my mom was in the middle of trying them on. She then came over to me and took the frames out of my hand without me saying anything and said, "Let me put these back for you." This was extremely odd, uncomfortable, and inappropriate. We were clearly trying on the frames, yet she was physically removing them from our hands without our permission. It made us feel unwelcome and disrespected. As people of color, this interaction felt especially troubling and made us question whether we were being treated differently. After this disturbing interaction, we decided to leave the store because I told my sister that I felt very uncomfortable being there. My sister, however, went back inside to calmly ask the employee for her name. The employee said her name was Kathy, but then suddenly began yelling at my sister at the top of her lungs, saying, "What is wrong with you?" This was shocking, aggressive, and completely unprofessional behavior. We entered the store as respectful, loyal customers who have supported this company for years and were genuinely interested in making another purchase. Instead, we were treated in a way that made us feel uncomfortable, disrespected, and unwelcome. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope Sunglass Hut management takes this seriously and ensures that customers are treated with professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy.

I come back a week later to return them because I didn't like the fit on my face and they refused to exchange them due to "new found scratches". I was never told to inspect for scratches when I purchased the glasses and was given a display pair. I was forced to buy the protection plan for $30 to exchange them within the year. Today I went in to exchange them since I'm really not happy with the miu mius. The lady charged me additional $50 to get a new Prada pair that was well below the price of the miu miu! I'm so shook with this scam business and want others to be aware of this place!

They offer frames from the $50 range, up and through the high-end Korean brands, and the best thing that they're all great quality + the frames look genuinely good no matter the price. If you're getting prescription glasses, it's likely they can cut it for you the same day, even just walking in. Many of them are light and airy in weight (while being sturdy!), whether they're thin or thicker frames. That quality is just as important to me as how they look. In the past decade of being an adult and figuring things out, I've tried a local optometry place (family-recommended), Jins and online stores but those frames were heavy / hurt my nose, and I thought for the longest time it was just a consequence of wearing glasses. I was surprised to experience otherwise when I got mine here. Lastly I genuinely think this shop is something special, and in 2026, probably one of my few and warmest impressions of a brick & mortar store locally that isn't a restaurant. We've been helped by Kevin and Mark, who truly love what they do, and don't try to push you out for a sale nor are passive. They take the proper time to explain things to you. We have multiple pairs now from here, so this is pretty much just a little letter of appreciation from us to say thanks to the staff!
