I am an information nerd and Alan was there for it with patience and good nature. He even was cool with me changing my mind on tile and on plaster, multiple times!! Never a problem. Pricing was in the middle, not the cheapest and not the highest, Every crew who performed the backbreaking hard work involved did so with pleasant and respectful attitudes. they even seemed to enjoy the work. Any little detail I wanted addressed was done so without protest. I love the job they did. When I see other peoples' projects in my facebook group, some of them nightmares, I am doubly happy I chose Pacific Plastering. No complaints. They even added jewels and abalone for free and weren't stingy. The abalone is magic. Other companies charge and overcharge for these add ins. I highly recommend them. FYI-I inquired with several local pool companies, all with good reviews, to have my large pool replastered and retiled. I got either no response or a quick visit and assessment with promises of estimates most of which only arrived weeks later than when they said they would provide them.. The company I was encouraged to go with by my pool maintenance people, after a couple of week and no responses to texts, provided an estimate that must have taken 5 minutes. No information regarding plaster or other options. Another one added equipment I already had and did not request to replace to the tune of 70,000 dollars. They must have assumed I was stupid. All of the others made me well aware that I really wasn't important to them. Alan was the opposite, always there for me.

Alan was outstanding with communication always responsive and incredibly patient, even as I asked countless questions and voiced concerns throughout the process. I'll admit, I probably wasn't the easiest client, especially since I was managing this remodel while overseas. But Alan was incredible. He kept me informed every step of the way, consistently sending updates and photos of the progress. I researched many companies in Las Vegas, and I'm so glad I chose Pacific Pool Plastering. As someone who's extremely particular, I can confidently say they delivered a high-quality project and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I will definitely use them again for my other properties and highly recommend them for your future pool remodel. Thank you, Pacific Pools and especially Alan for your exceptional work and outstanding customer service!

She clearly knows her products and doesn't rush you or push anything you don't need. Overall, the customer service here is on another level. The geniuses who built the pool made it so the pump is up against the side of the house so everything would have to be taken out. Talked to Jennifer I believe, who has good customer service, from JNJ Pools and she schedules me their next available which was not soon. But I get a text later on the day and they had a cancellation and would be able to send someone out the next day. Tommy arrives to help me with the pool pump and he knocked it out. I called them back on July 27, but they didn't return until August 4. Instead of standing behind their work, they claimed the repair was outside their 30-day warranty, even though it was the exact same capacitor they had installed. Because of that, I had to pay my American Home Shield service fee again. That's $100 on the first visit and another $100 on the second visit--all because the part they installed failed. I'm now out $200, have wasted weeks waiting for repairs, and my pool has turned green because it couldn't run properly. American Home Shield should seriously reconsider using this company as one of its service providers. A reputable contractor should stand behind the parts they install, especially when the same part fails so quickly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend JNJ Pools to anyone. The low rating they have is consistent with the service I received. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration, and choose a different company. Mine to Matt came here and tried to tell me that my capacitor went out because it's hot outside. When we first spoke, she was upfront, polite, professional, and easy to speak with. In addition, she promised to be THERE for us with any questions or concerns. And, this was spot on! We are very glad that we did choose her and Mission West. Here are the pros and cons: Cons - Seriously, the PERMITS with the city will take forever. If you tweak it after it gets approved, add another 2-3 months!! We started in Nov 2022, and due to waiting for permits, we were not done until June 2023. Lessons learned: Make sure you review it with the PM before submitting it. There was "loss" in translation on the diagram and we had to tweak it to make it work. - We went with the white plaster. Filled with water, it is light blue. Once you chose it, you are stuck with it for the next few years until you decide to redo the plaster. If we had to redo it, I would have gone with Blue plaster with quartz blue pebbles. Pay a bit extra. - Contractor availability. Most of the pool companies contract with specific companies. There were times that we had to wait for these companies to complete other jobs before ours could continue. As a result, the project was delayed a few days/weeks. - Hayward water pump is painful. Glad that it is far away from the main house. It is noisy and loud. For a new machine, we had issues with "high T Cell temperature and various warnings". Wish they used a different vendor. Also, wish they have two SEPARATE pumps - one for the main pool and one for the spa. - Wish we bought LARGER mosaic for the middle of the pools. However, once the plaster is down, no more mosaics...LOL... Pros - This was easy: Desiree. Our family loves her. She is very personable and is always there for us. When we call her, she usually picks up or call us back within 24 hours. The communication was EXCELLENT. She really cared and we really appreciate her hard work. Note: if she did not know the answer, she always got back to us quickly. In addition, she would bring her kids. And, our kids would spend time with them... she is very cool. - Pedro the concrete guy. Don't know how to say this, he is an amazing person. Did an incredible job with the landscape and artificial service. - Alfredo rocked it with the electrical work - Sergio kicked butt with the excavation Overall, despite the hiccups, Mission West came through. Pool is great. Would highly recommend Mission West Pools.

Personally, I enjoyed working with Barry during the construction of our pool, and the project…read moreitself went smoothly at the time. However, over the years, we have had them return multiple times for recurring cracks. Each time, the repair involved filling the cracks, which unfortunately did not appear to resolve the underlying issue, as the same cracks kept returning. Earlier this year, I contacted Doug and again regarding the same problems. I was told the cracks were likely due to seismic activity. Based on our observations, we are not convinced that is the cause. Additionally, there is currently a metal piece protruding from the side wall they built, along with other issues. We have documented these problems over time with photos and emails. After raising these issues again and requesting further assistance to address the underlying problem, we did not receive any additional follow-up communication. Because of this, we are now exploring other options to resolve the issue. Overall, while the initial build experience was positive, our experience with follow-up repairs and warranty support has been disappointing. I am sharing this so future customers can be sure to ask detailed questions about warranty coverage and long-term repair solutions before moving forward.
