My main complaint about Leslie's is the lack of customer service. I came in and waited for two people to purchase pool products and water results. The kid working behind the counter, was no help and the manager was off. So I was literally standing there waiting for in incoming text. For several years now, I have regularly purchased Leslies Desert Tan pool deck paint. However, this time I used "Varspar pool deck and walkway". This non slip paint protects the deck and keeps the cement cool. It also seems to spread better (it only took 3 gallons to paint my pool decking which normally takes 4 to 5 gallons. The paint department at Lowes was able to match the Desert Tan color sample very closely. A gallon of Desert Tan deck paint from Leslie's is $70 and the Varspar deck paint was $50. read more

I've been utilizing Leslies for a bit for the water tests. Service has been adequate at best, the lady working there isn't very friendly. The past two times though, there was a gentleman named Paul running the store. Very pleasant, very professional, and knowledgeable as well. I did the water test, and found I needed to raise my alkaline. I had put a small bottle on the counter, but Paul showed me the larger one, which was a much better deal. Also, will save me from needing to buy it again in a week or two. More importantly, my pool vacuum broke down, and Leslies was warrantied to fix it. He took the device from me, and barely minutes after I had arrived home, he called me to tell me he had adjusted a few inside parts and it would work fine. Sure enough, tossed it in the pool, and the little guy is running around the bottom like a champ. Very impressed with Paul. I'd recommend you call ahead to see if he's working. He apparently also runs a second store in Inspirida, so clearly Leslies is getting their moneys worth from Paul. Highly recommend him. read more

This is a great place to get pool supplies and chemicals. The staff is extremely helpful. I don't know where else to get muratic acid to control the PH in the pool, so I visit Leslie's. Some of their prices are extremely high compared to what you'll find online. I know they have to pay rent at the brick and mortar building and pay their staff. I'm a business person too. But some of the OEM parts are just priced insanely. $33 for a screw in drain plug. Nuts! If you have to have something and need it right away, this is a great choice. They will have it, but you'll pay for it. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable! We did find a good deal on a floating mattress my wife wanted, so I was pleased about that. read more

KAT went out of her way to answer my questions and help be to better understand the lighting issues I was having. Unfortunately, due to the crazy state of the world today, LED pool lights are next to impossible to get. Unless you're KAT! She was able to not only locate the only light in the state, but was able to set up an installation appointment for Monday. I decided to have a new Pentair variable speed pool pump installed by Leslie's. While not the cheapest - I was told their quality of work and customer service makes up for that. And clearly I was misinformed. During the installation, it turned out I needed extra parts for my system to work correctly - no big deal, stopped back at the store while he was working to get another $200 in parts (which I have no issue with). I however was informed - this would be charged as an additional service call (even though the tech is already there on a service call?) Installing the valve, the tech seemed confused and was going to simply leave it as is because he wasn't sure how to adjust it correctly. Luckily his "buddy" called him back and explained to him how to do it. So very reassuring my tech didn't know how to do something as simple as install / adjust a valve. After install of everything is finished - he briefly explained how everything was supposed to be working.... then PROCEEDED TO ASK FOR CASH to him directly, rather than bill the 'extra service call' to the company (which frankly I don't see why I paid for an additional service call to begin with). Immediately I called Leslie's, their response was to call a 1800 number. After calling the 1800 number - I was told the same tech, Austin would come back. They didn't seem to understand I did not feel comfortable working with him and finally decided to schedule a new appointment 4 days out. On top of all of this, install was not done anywhere near correctly. My spa does not work and there clearly are safety hazards in the installation. I have been a customer of this particular store since 2001. They were great back then, super helpful, polite, and they would always volunteer to carry your buckets of chlorine etc. However, some years ago they were hiring people that knew less about pools than I do. The staff had a serious " I don't care" attitude" and frankly I started avoiding this store whenever I could buy what I needed elsewhere. The good news is that my experience today with "Cat" the store manager showed that this store is once again a great place for pool owners! Cat went "Above and Beyond" to help me in every possible way. She tracked down what I needed from another store and had it waiting for me by the end of the day. She was very polite and even insisted to carry out 2 gallons of deck paint to my car. This store is back on my good list! read more

Again, it started with Kat at the Maryland Pkwy store. While that store location is three times further than two others closer to where we live, she was referred to us by another friend, our realtor, and she has proven to be invaluable in helping us with everything we needed for our pool. Not only is she knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to show us what we need; she is friendly and very professional. It is literally a joy to go to the her store. I moved to this area in 2014 and had never owned a pool in my life. I am a senior and need that extra TLC when it comes to understanding what I needed to do as far as maintaining my Pool. We have been shopping at this Leslies store since 2009. We have always had good service. These last few years have been great. Catherine (Cat) runs a very efficient store. Supplies are neatly stocked. The store is clean. The workers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, especially Cat. Take a sample of your pool water and they will quickly test it and give you easy to follow instructions on how to keep your pool balanced and sparkling. If you need new equipment, pump,filter etc they help you find what's right for your pool and budget. They have great techs and installers to make the process easy and Cat will help you get scheduled. I recommend their Jacuzzi brand salt generator for your swimming pool. read more

I needed a new air relief valve and purchased it here for $37. It must be a huge markup because it's simply a piece of plastic. I later found one online for half the price. The lady, which I assume is the manager after reading other review here, tried to upsell me to a new pressure gauge reader for $80. There's nothing wrong with mine thank you. This place is greedy as hell. When I go into a pool supply store I don't want to feel like I'm in a used car sales lot. Seems like this place has a monopoly on the market in Vegas. What a shame. I'm checking online for anything pool related from now on if I can. Oh, and don't think about getting your pool robot repaired here. I took mine in to find out why my robot was running so slow. I purchased a metal bristle brush a few months back from Leslie's pool on Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas Nevada to clean the bottom of the pool the brush was recommended to me by Catherine Miller the manager, after a few months went by the metal bristles started to fall out of the brush the needle like bristles made their way through the vacuum hose alot of them got stuck there, some of them went through the filter basket in to the pump and caused damage. They were NOT willing to help me out in anyway nor give discount on new one. SHAME ON THEM! read more

I went in to buy paint for our pool , after choosing a color which they said they had more of ( there was only 3 gallons at the store) we went home to have our pool painted. The next day we went back to pick up some more only to be sent a wild goose chase all day to find out the color is no longer made. Our pool is now half painted and we are out $500.00, there idea of compensation (per the DM ) was a $100.00 for out trouble. I feel completely taken advantage off because they were just trying to clear their extra inventory. I work 40 hours a week, have a family to support and do not have another $500.00 to make up for their mistake. read more

This store and it's staff are quite motivated and knowledgeable. I needed a new colored light installed in my pool. I also had plaster being sprayed the same day. The store manager (Cat) stayed in contact with me ALL WEEKEND to make sure that they were able get the installation technician out to our home prior to the pool being filled up with water. She did all she could to make it happen - and she did! The technician showed up at our home and overcame some electrical obstacles (spa light for one) and maneuvered fresh plaster without making a single mark or blemish. We now have a beautiful pool with AMAZING color thanks to Leslie's!! I would recommend this store and it's staff without hesitation! read more

The People that work here are always so rude and seem so inconvenienced. You walk in and there is no hello can I help you or even just a greeting. I went in over the weekend and lady was in the back just evil staring at me as she walked up to the counter looking at me like what? Never spoke. I dropped off my Pool Vacuum to be fixed and she just writes down my information and says the girl who fixes this,will be in Tuesday. She will call you. And no smile, no nothing. Very awkward. I said thanks and left. Today, Tuesday I Call and a girl answers the phone all rushed and I said Hi, I left a vacuum over the weekend, she just cuts me off and says yes that's me, I am alone and I have a few in front of you i will call you later, all abruptly. I am not a fan of people in retail, or hospitality that talk to people like this...Rushing people off the phone and just everyone seems rude. She walked me through what I needed to do until a service tech could come out. Then when there was a cancellation, she was able to get my service moved up and get it taken care of. I bought a safety fence and gate a month ago, still have no fence. I ordered it, waited, and was so dissatisfied. I am so glad I inspected the gate. Had I not, I would have had to pay a restocking fee. Upon opening the box, or should I say after I saw the box opened by the manager before I got there, I found the mesh was ripped. If I wanted a new one after I left the store I would have had to pay. I then handed it back and said please get me one that is not ripped, how long do I have to wait? I ordered this deal a month ago and still have nothing. I ordered the fence because I have a need, not just because. The manager Katherine has lost her attitude at this point, but it is too late. I called corporate to complain and get something going, but all they did was call the store and have Katherine call me, who did and asked why we called corporate.
