We've used Priority Pools since our brand-new pool was completed three years ago, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. In that time: * The heater has failed twice (and is currently not working again) * The chlorinator has been replaced * The pool lights have been replaced twice * The silver quartz finish already looks stained and bleached Maybe some of this is poor Hayward Industries equipment, but it's hard to know because the service tech changes constantly -- about every 6 weeks -- so there's zero accountability or continuity. This is a saltwater pool, yet instead of properly diagnosing or maintaining the chlorinator system, they routinely dump gallons of liquid chlorine into the pool every week. Actual "service" often feels limited to: * Emptying the leaf basket * Lightly brushing the pool * Adding chemicals And nearly everything beyond that becomes an extra charge: * Chemicals? Extra. * Filter cleaning? Extra. * Repairs? Extra. * Someone coming out because the system they maintain stopped working? Extra. Worse, many of the techs seemed unfamiliar with how the equipment even operates, making service calls frustrating and unproductive. What really bothered me was adding up the actual cost over three years. Once you include all the side charges, repair calls, chemical add-ons, and maintenance fees, the true cost is easily several times higher than the advertised "weekly service" price. After reading the other 1 start reviews about this company, I beleive that they are scam artists. They destroyed the water chemistry causing calcification around my surround, Jeremy the manager expressly stated he would fix this at his expense, and then before they would do that, they sent me a invoice for $8000 plus claiming the two pumps needed replacement. This followed the same ordeal last month where a pump needed to be replaced, but my electrician simply turned it on and it worked fine. I would recommend staying away from this company. read more

We've had three other pool services, and every one of them started out great but quickly went downhill. A neighbor recommended Priority Pool Service, and they have been amazing! Their customer service is top-notch, extremely responsive, and they keep our saltwater pool crystal clear with zero algae. Our pool has never looked better than it does now. Their techs are punctual and spend at least 30 minutes at our pool every week. After each visit, they take photos of the pool, the cleaned basket, the pool pump to show all valves are in the proper position and working, and even the closed gate. They send an immediate email with all the photos, chemical levels, and details of what was added. Saltwater pools can be tricky to maintain, but ours has been absolutely perfect since Priority Pools took over. It's no surprise they have a 4.8/5-star rating--they truly earn every bit of it. I had hired priority pool service and thought they were doing a great job at first. Last fall when I returned to my home after being away for a bit, the pool was covered with salt and calcium deposits. I asked the pool staff what it was because I was concerned. He said he didn't know and he had been cleaning my pool for about 4 months. I asked him if he had ever vacuumed the pool and he said never I asked him about the salt /or calcium deposits and he said he didn't know. After talking to Adam at the office. He assured me that this is not how they work. After speaking to the weekly pool maintenance person a "supervisor " come out . This is an updated review, after the first couple months of good service, they started to slip. The tech never took more than 5 min and after a deeper water test we found our chemicals were all out of whack. They also never removed the cover to clean our jacuzzi. When told about the issues they were ignored. The final straw was a forced filter cleaning. I told them I did not want it, it was something my husband already did. And they basically said I had to cancel service or pay the $225 for the cleaning. So I decided to cancel service but they only accept 60 day notices so I still had to pay for 2 months of service I wasn't happy with. Would not recommend this company. read more

I hired them to fix my check valve back in January. The Ortega check valve already needs to be replaced. Priority pool only has a 90 day repair warranty. That's pretty crappy. I fired these guys after I caught the pool tech pretending to clean my pool on my Ring camera. So my new pool team is a military veteran owned and operated one. Much better. Priority pools did refund my money but had several excuses along the way just to keep me from publishing this review. I recommend NOT using this company. read more

I had a prior pool company for the past 5 years I really loved the owner and his sons, however over the past few months they were having trouble getting employees who were qualified. I began to search for a new company and came across priority. I left a message and they called me back. In our initial talk they explained everything their service would encompass and the fees. I decided to give them s try . The tech who came out was very knowledgeable friendly and efficient. We also upgraded our system so that I can control the pool equipment from my phone as the prior controller was very confusing. I've had Priority Pools as my weekly service provider since June, and boy, they have EARNED this 5 star review at last. Because I was beastly for a while, I was, I freely admit it. You see, my #1 criteria which I was explicit about from the get-go was: EARLY MORNING SERVICE. I have a gate that I need to unlock and then lock back up immediately after service, along with pool-loving dogs that I need to manage on pool-service days... and this all needs to happen before I go to work or go to sleep (during the day) after working all night. Yup, it's Vegas... I'm up all night sometimes, so if a tech wanted to come at 6AM, have at it! Knock my pool out, consider it "one pool down"! Priority tends to promise a window, not an exact time, and so I needed to ensure that my pool was the first of the morning, because, my work schedule can't revolve around "windows". The inspection guy and the filter-cleaning techs, as well as the lovely phone receptionists and most everyone who answers the phones, emails, messages for Priorty Pools have been completely professional and communicative. Unfortunately, my first tech that I was assigned was not. In fact, he kept pushing his "window" later and later, until it began at 9:15 or sometimes 9:30AM... which set me back either late for work, or absolutely exhausted from working all night and waiting for the pool guy to finish so I could get some sleep. Said tech was completely unresponsive, didn't even say "sorry for being a bit late lately" or, I dunno "good morning" even? and even told me to "wait" while he futzed with his phone because he needed to take a photo of my gate being closed. I told him I had to get to work (I was clearly on my way out) and didn't have time to wait around one second longer, as it was 9:15 and I was already 15 minutes late, and still HOME, just like the week before when he arrived late! Then I promptly called Priority and turned into the BEAST. At last, they removed that other tech from my pool service, and in his place, they've sent me a LOVELY Tech, Aaron... who not only texts me a heads up when he is 15 min away, but today he (his 2nd day on my pool) also detected a small leak in one of my filter's covers, and already put in a work order to have it fixed. He is dependable, communicative, intuitive, receptive, and I feel like I'm finally in good hands. Finally, I feel like Priority Pools has completely understood my priorities.
