Update: His response can give you an example of the type of personality my poor renters were dealing with. I see a lot of fake reviews on this Yelp page. This is NOT someone you want to have access to your home. ---- We are based in California, and have 2 rental units in Vegas with pools that we were using Corwin Pool Services for weekly cleaning. Too often, Corwin would find something "broken" that needed urgent replacing. Being out of state and not knowing enough about pool maintenance, we would agree to everything that needed to be done. At times it was about $600-1500 in things that needed to get replaced. When we got to thousands in repairs, I started to question what was being done and Dan got hostile and defensive when I questioned it. He also got hostile on my renters and got into a yelling match with them and made them feel so uncomfortable that they asked me to find a different company. Fast forward from 2022 to 2024 and the pump that Dan sold us and installed is now loud and making clunking noises. Our current pool guy checked it out and said we were sold old/refurbished equipment at a really high markup. $600 for a used pump that stopped working after 2 years. Horrible. read more

I have used Corwin Pool Service for three years now and I am very satisfied. Dan is very responsive to my questions and his people are on time and do a great job. I have a home warranty that covers my pool. When I have an issue that it will cover, Dan lets me know and doesn't try to encourage me to use him instead of the warranty. He just tells me what to be aware of. Dan is probably not the cheapest option, but I feel I get a fair value for my money. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism. I don't give a lot of reviews but after 3 years with Dan and Corwin, especially after seeing a crazy negative review, I felt compelled to post. I have had everything from a broken pipe from landscape work, storm debris, tank seals cracking and flooding my yard and through it all Dan and the team have taken care of we quickly and honestly. I had an acute issue with my pool that I had been dealing with for months and Dan took the time over the phone to explain to me my issue and a solution that would work even when he was unsure he would get my business. He is very knowledgable and clearly passionate about his profession which is very refreshing in today's day and age. Beware!! This is probably the WORST company I have ever dealt with!! My pool looked as if it was not being vacuumed on a regular basis. It got so bad at one point I did not want to use my pool because the bottom was so dirty. I emailed asking if vacuuming was part of the weekly service because it was very obvious it was not being vacuumed. The owner belittled me and accused me of lying. All I wanted was to find a solution on how to get my pool vacuumed. Instead of trying to resolve my issue, he wanted to call me names. I have never had a company owner argue with me like a child would. Maybe his employee was showing up, ( I doubt it, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt) my pool floor was disgusting . Why? I sent the owner pictures and not once did he address my concerns. NOT ONCE. He was only wanted to argue. I just wanted my pool clean. This guy needs to learn about customer service. Beware because if you ask him questions or bring up any concerns you have he will call you a liar and say anything and everything to not address the issue. He can try to call me a liar all he wants, but pictures and third party reports don't lie. These are the pictures I sent to him. As a owner, would you not want to investigate and find out what is going on? Instead I was verbally attacked and called a liar. Why would I go through all the trouble? I just wanted him to do his job. Nothing more, nothing less. BTW... I saw your reply. Again, you never answered the simple question.. did your employee vacuum the pool or not? After changing pool service providers in the past, it is worth taking the time to review the company we are so happy to have found and stuck with for the long-term. Markeal, the tech, at Corwin Pool Service has been consistently on time and professional. I even had a special request for him long ago when our dog was a puppy for Markeal to notify me 15-20 minutes before he comes to service our pool so I could grab or redirect the dog. A couple years later and Markeal still texts me every Monday when he's en route. Our pool is always clean, pumps functional and chemicals perfectly balanced thanks to Markeal and Corwin Pools. Also, it is important to note that I have texted and called the owner, Dan, on several occasions to ask unrelated pool questions (solar heater advice, lighting, tiles, etc.) and he is very responsive and knowledgeable. I rent my house & the owner pays for the pool service. After having the same pool guy for approximately 6 years the realty company changed the pool services over to Corwin. I was given their contact information. I contacted Dan the owner to find out what day they were planning on coming & to give them the gate code & some information. He answered right away, was very friendly & nice. He told me Billy would be the guy to come take care of my pool & gave me his number so I could contact him directly. I called Billy & got his VM & left him a message. I also told him he could text me too if he needed. Billy ended up texting me back to let me know when he would be headed over to my house. I later found him outside cleaning as I had mentioned to him earlier I wasn't going to be home but left the gate unlocked so he could get in. I got home before he got to my house. I went outside to say hi & introduce myself. Billy was also very nice & friendly. We chit chatted about stuff, got some info about the pool like when it was last drained, how the filters had been replaced a few years ago, the current "sealed" leak in the pool pump, how that will be fixed, the day & time frame he will be coming to clean the pool, etc. While he was there he cleaned the pool & it looked fabulous afterwards. I didn't take a picture but I will do a before & after. I can't rate on their price of their services as I'm not the one who pays for it but I can give them 5 stars for their professionalism, work ethic, great communication & getting on the job right away & taking over. I came across Corwin Pool Service, when I explained my situation with the misfortunes of the last pool service Dan was very understanding. Within 30 minutes Dan had boots on the ground accessing the damage, later that afternoon I met Markeal who immediately started acid washing the pool. He was was finished by early evening and began filling the pool up. Markeal showed up early the next day to install new filters and vacuum hoses. Long story short, corwin pool service let our pool build up algae, bottom was barely brushed, had to remind pool guy to vacuum the pool, brush the tiles. Pool never looked clean, tiles were always dirty. The best part is the owner, Dan. Owner has a condescending way of talking, simple conversations turn heated. Yes heated, on the owners end. Pretty unprofessional. Also pictures were directly AFTER a cleaning, 5 mins after pool guy left!
