This company has some of the worst costumer service, I spent $1,599.95 on a brand new Pentair IntelliChlor Plus60 Salt Chlorine Generator Cell 60k gal, Installed it and it did not work no lights or power . Instead of offering to help us, Polytec Pools brushed us off and sent us to the product manufacturer pentair they do not offer any Refund Or replacement. Yet their Refund policy have different statement, looks like they are sale refurbished equipment, we agreed and contacted the manufacturer pentair regarding a warranty it take up to 6 to 8 weeks for a follow-up. looks Like Refurbished equipment out of the box. read more

Instead of offering to help us, Polytec Pools brushed us off and sent us to the product manufacturer. Fine- we agreed and contacted the manufacturer, who had us have an authorized pool company come and diagnose the issue. It was a bad pump. Brand new yet bad. We've been jumping through hoops to try and get the part needed. It's been two weeks and still nothing. We've been throwing away chemicals into a pool that doesn't have a usable pump. Not only does Polytec Pools refuse to take back the pump but they refuse to even help us with the manufacturer. This company, for all we know, sold us a pump that they knew was bad. I would not order anything from them. Not necessarily because the product didn't work but because they refuse to stand behind it. Most companies would take a faulty product back. Reputable companies would have their customer's back...not Polytec! read more

Purchased a pool light which 2 months after installation had leaked. When I called they washed their hands of it. Manufacturer issue, which I don't disagree with by the way. Asked if they could email me the serial number of the light so i could talk to manufacturer - we don't record them, cant help you. Never had this problem before. We don't provide support or warranty beyond 60 days. Buyer beware - products are basically sold as seen. Don't have an issue with that per se but the attitude the individual on the phone had with me was beyond appalling - basically don't care, not interested, placing blame on manufacturer or installer or anywhere but themselves - and I wasn't. My advice - spend a little bit more and go elsewhere read more

I purchased a Century V-green variable speed motor with a new gasket set at the end of August. The sale was seamless and shipping was fast. That is were the good ends. The motor was installed early September. Mid November, I got a call from home, that the pump was making a loud, unusual noise. Came home and found the motor not pumping water (even though the water level was optimum. Shut down and contacted repairman to remove. Said it sounded like bearings. I contacted Polytec Pools and was told I need to contact the manufacturer directly. I asked for the phone number and he seemed annoyed to provide, and eventually hung up on me. I contacted Century pump and they said I need to go directly to where I bought. I explained that I had and their response. She said that she would call them. He told her the same thing. Century customer service told him that she has been doing these warranty claims for 20+ years and he needs to take care of it. He eventually agreed to return my money only after I return the motor (at my expense) but that he does not want to deal with sending a replacement. He does not want to provide a replacement. Century warns to deal with a reputable and Local dealer who will work with you and not against you. What pathetic customer service by Polytec Pools. I do not recommend buying anything from this business. Read the review by Tim R. on 10/30/2020. I did not do the research before I purchased from them. This is not the only instance of Polytec Pools not backing their goods. I was ONLY looking at price. I have been laid off due to Covid since March and only looking for the cheapest price. If you don't mind the drive (and possibly getting lost finding their office/store), this is a much better alternative to buying your pool/spa merchandise at Leslie's Pools or Fresh. It's not an actual store so you can't just simply stop by, pick and pay, but they would take your orders and call you when they're ready for pick up. They have and do anything and everything you need for your pools and spas. Friendly office staffers and their prices are waaaaay cheaper than Leslie's and Fresh's. read more

DO NOT BUY PolyTech Summer Waves Elite Pools ~ We set up and FILLED our pool last night. Got up this morning and realized there is a small leak in the liner. Hubby is on the phone with their customer "service" center and they want us to DRAIN the pool (um - can you say drought) and find the pinhole and cut that out of the liner and send it to them. . .then they will decide if they will send a replacement liner. So they want the pool to be DOWN for about 2 weeks. Um --- no way. Intex has far better customer service! We will stick with them in the future. PS: This review has been posted on my FB page, my husbands FB page (and he is a local government official so he has 2K+ followers), every local information page for Northern NV that we belong to, the WalMart review area, the PolyTech FB page. . . All for a part that likely costs the company $25-$30? Very disappointed and angry. read more

Their prices were so far below the other places I checked, that I would give them 5 stars just for that. They also recommended someone to install the new pump and filter I was ordering, and then suggested that I could call the installer and have him pick up the equipment there, rather than waiting for the free shipping. It all worked out great, and I was happy to speed it along, since my pool had had no filter running for several days by this point. read more

Excellent customer service. Shockingly fast order processing and delivery. Equipment appears to have arrived in good, working condition (though did receive a broken filter gage, though not sure if the damage occurred from handling/storing the equipment or shipping). This place is great. I stumbled across them after my pool filter broke. Leslie's was out of the question. Their prices are way too high & the service is lacking at best. Unfortunately, there's no longer much competition in Las Vegas so I looked online and came across Polytec. They have a local store here in Las Vegas. Their prices were hundreds of dollars less than Leslie's and they were able to recommend an installer to install it. I picked up the filter the same day, called the installer and had it installed the next morning. This was as good an experience as you can get when dealing with pool supply stores. Word of advice: Expand your business. You need a better retail presence. You guys do a great job. It was a pleasure. read more

This is the second review I have given (for anything) on the internet in 15 years. I could not find a pool company with reviews that I liked except for Polytec. I took a chance. 1) Ordered pump assembly Thursday morning Dec 28th. 2) Received FedEx shipping confirmation that afternoon. 3) Pump arrived Saturday afternoon Dec 30th. 4) Pump was EXACTLY what I ordered, installed pump within 1 hour of receipt. 5) Works great. I bought a control board kit ($258.00) it came broken and they said that the manufacture had to warranty the part and I had to called them. They said that the seller did, I called Polytec pools back and told them that they were the ones that need to take care of it. The guy that answered the phone same as before told me that they were a bunch of dumb ass and didn't know what they were talking about and hung up the phone and will not answer it anymore. I would never buy anything from this company again and hope that nobody gets taken like I did. read more
