First thing first, Palms Pool is FREE for locals and visitors, you don't need to be a hotel guest to use the pool. There's actually 6 other FREE pools you can use in Vegas (Rio, Flamingo, Linq, Sahara, Virgin, and wait for it.. Top Golf, 21 and over only) Now that's out of the way, I picked Palms Pool solely because they offered FREE private cabana for locals. I thought it's a gimmick and there's got to be some sort of catch, right?!? Well not really, read on and find out. (Certain restrictions will apply) To get this FREE offer, obviously you need to have a local Nevada ID then all you need is jump thru a few hoops (it's not bad) Booking is not exactly straight forward, you need to submit your name, DOB, email, phone number, and date requested (don't worry about the date it's not set in stone yet) Then wait for their email it'll include a special link you can click which will show the FREE cabana pricing for locals. The only date you cannot book is Saturday which isn't bad. I picked Sunday since I have work M-F. :( As for choices I picked Adult East side Upper Bungalow. This is the most expensive one (if you aren't a local) it's for up to 12 guests and you get a semi-private pool right in front of your bungalow. As a side note, choices are limited and they do booked up fast. To give you an idea, I booked mine on 7/18 for a reservation that's on 9/7. I could got one sooner but I really wanted that Upper Bungalow. Now that you've got the date and Bungalow you wanted, it's time to lock it in, they will need a $50 deposit + $3 processing fee right away to secure your spot. Don't worry, you can use (the 50 bucks) towards your food/drinks credits. On the day of my reservation, they opened at 10am, I got there maybe 15 minutes after. Make sure you park in the East parking garage on Huge Hefner Dr. as that will put you right by the Pool entrance as soon as you get off that elevator. Also note you need to check-in BEFORE noon otherwise you may lose your cabana spot and deposit. Quick security check, then it's Check-in, not much of a wait since it's still early. Plenty of spots in the upper floor, he placed me near the middle (Cabana #25) and mentioned someone will be with me shortly. Shortly turned out to be 10-15 minutes wait but that's alright it's still early. Waitress from the 1st floor came up and explained my waitress (Trinity) is running late but will be here soon. Meanwhile she'll be taking care of my orders. She explained that I don't have any minimum spending and the Sunday menu special. I started off with a Heineken (8 bucks) and Avocado toast (14). The beer came first as that's just in a tall can. There's a bit of wait for the toast but boy it was worth the wait! By around 11am I believe that's when Trinity arrives (wish my name is Neo at this point) with her barback. Since I'm planning to be here all day I might as well get the bucket so I placed an order with her. Fast forward to around noon and still no bucket in sight. I'm beginning to suspect they forgot my order. When Trinity came back around that's when I asked about the bucket. She was surprised her barback didn't bring it. (She was looking around the cabana for that bucket... lol) yeah it's definitely not there. Anyway she apologize and got him the deliver the bucket fairly quick so it's all good. Once I've got my Heineken bucket (there's 6 tall cans) I knew that toast isn't cutting it so I ordered the infamous Beach Club Burger (18 bucks) That was some good BIG burger. Fast forward till almost 5pm Trinity came by and mentioned last call for Food (The pool closes at 6pm) I requested to close out and no rush. When the final bill came, I noticed Trinity gave me a discount for the bucket (Supposed to be 48 bucks, she only charged 35) which is nice as I didn't ask for it. One thing to note is they will tag on AUTO Gratuity, in my case it's 13.50 (about 18%), there's also a VENUE fee charge of 5.25 (which isn't bad) One thing I noticed near the end is other people (might crash your cabana) or at least get into your pool. There's a lack of security to enforce who goes where. Overall this was a pretty good Sunday to spend at the pool with my own cabana. I just hope they'll have this offer again next year. The -1 star is mainly due to the lack of cleanliness upkeep on the cabanas. I've seen others went so far as to cover EVERYTHING in the cabana with white towels (I don't blame them!) On the + side, the restroom is super clean!

Booked a couch earlier this week for my birthday! It was free for locals with a $50 deposit, which could be applied for food and drinks. I was sad the adult section was closed because the main area was packed with kids. Our couch was away from most of them, which was nice. The checkin process was really easy and the attendant had the best energy. Once we got to our assigned spot, our server took quite some time to get to us. It was hard to flag her down throughout the day, I could tell she needed some backup! The have daily drink specials for their pitchers, beer, etc. Food was fairly priced and we split a chicken nacho easily. Overall, it was a nice hot day but the pool water was so warm there was not much escape from the heat. We would come back to explore cabana options.

Yelp Elite Vibes at One of My Favorite Vegas Pools - Palms! Big shoutout to Kayla and the Yelp team for hosting such an amazing event at the Palms Pool -- hands down, one of my favorite pools in Las Vegas! From start to finish, the experience was everything a summer day should be: relaxing, luxurious, and full of good vibes. The setup was beautiful, the music was just right, and the energy was so chill. The cabanas and poolside service made it easy to unwind, connect with fellow Yelpers, and soak up the sun without a care in the world. The Palms team truly knows how to create an oasis just minutes from the Strip. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot deserves a place on your must-chill list. Gorgeous pool & cabana layout Relaxing atmosphere perfect for a weekday escape Impeccable service Great drinks + snacks Elite-level hospitality Thank you again Kayla + Yelp Las Vegas for showing us such a fabulous time! Already counting down the days until the next event. #YelpElite #PalmsPoolVibes #VegasViews #YelpEvent #PoolsidePerfection #SupportLocalVegas

A friend suggested we go to the Palms Pool for our birthday weekend. She reserved a couch o & day bed for $100 deposit. Checking in was very easy, we arrived at 11am. They searched our bags for outside food/water, just a heads up! We enjoyed having great seating and service. The waitress and her helper were both extremely kind and friendly. The gentleman staff member went above and beyond several times by moving our umbrella! We couldn't be more grateful to him. There is a 21+ section to get away from those pesky kids. I really appreciated there being two separate areas! The water was cool and refreshing. Drinks were incredible. 10/10 recommend the watermelon mojito!

Palms Pool at 9am, 4th of July.
    Shik P.

Love that we can be at the pool at 9am as soon as they open. Found our usual spot to lay out and enjoy some sun while some of our family members enjoy the pool. Great way to start our 4th of July. One of the things we enjoy about Palms is that they don't get too crowded. Also security at the pool and check in area are always so helpful and courteous. You can also order drinks whether alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks and snacks like chicken tenders and fries from the pool bar. They also have several pools. You can also see the upper balconies are smaller pools.

The pool was busy for 2pm which is about an hour before check in. Not bad waiting 20 minutes for lunch. My friends enjoyed their French fries and sliders cooked medium. The chicken nachos were well seasoned and had plenty of toppings. I wish they came with salsa and guacamole for the price of $19. The servers and coctail waitresses walked around and checked in on us a few times. They always look like they are having a good time dancing or singing along to the music. The music was at a decent volume but when you are in the cabana it muffled the sound which creates a more relaxing atmosphere. It's a nice touch to have a seperate adult only area and as we were leaving we asked if all the cabanas are adult only. The staff member confirmed when you make a reservation request for free cabanas for locals online its for the 21 and over area only.

Palms used to be the go to spot back in the day but over time it fell off. This was my first time back since the mid 2000s and I was impressed with the makeover. The space is huge with two large pools and cabanas on the second level with private plunge pools. They also have bar/cafe area where you can order food and drinks. It was free for us as locals to visit & towels were also provided. I liked that it wasn't super busy and they had a DJ playing fun music. Overall I had a great time & enjoyed the food too. I'd definitely come back again.

As a fun activity for us and the kids we opted to try one of the free cabanas for locals for when the kids got out for the summer. You can reserve online and they take a $50 deposit which can go towards your food and beverage when you get there. I love the fact they offered this especially for those with kids because things can get super pricey. They have different specials for every week day for alcoholic beverages as well as offer a food menu. We received one of the cabanas on the ground floor with a small pool/jacuzzi right out front as well as by the main pool. It was a fun day out with the kids and service was great. I would love to do another cabana in the near future.

Free entry for everyone 21yrs+! Every day of the week! We went on a Saturday morning/early afternoon and had a great pool day! It's not like the typical Vegas pool party- more calm and relaxing, which we were looking for! Drinks are about $17/$35. We didn't eat while there but the food looked delicious. The music wasn't blaring but just loud enough to enjoy- a variety of music! Great place to go catch a tan and enjoy the sun!

My husband and I decided to take advantage of the locals deal where NV residents get a free cabana Monday - Thursday. You do have to put down a $50 deposit in the event you don't show up; if you do check-in on time then that $50 is a credit toward any food/drink you purchase. I will note that their website is NOT up-to-date. You are not allowed to bring in empty reusable water bottles anymore. The security personnel was quite rude about it and said too many people were sneaking in alcohol. I asked if we opened our bottle so he could see it was empty if that would be acceptable, he said, "No. either throw your bottle away or take it back to your vehicle". Since it was a nice Hydroflask, my husband walked it all the way back to the car. When we checked in for our cabana I wanted to confirm that we were on the 21+ side as I had requested online, we were told that the entire pool area, upstairs cabanas included, is only 21+ Friday - Sunday. Kids are allowed in all areas Monday - Thursday. Again, something that was different from what their site said. Anyway, we were escorted to our private cabana on the 2nd floor. Cabana had a TV, but only 5 channels to choose from, a ceiling fan with 1 speed, a locked safe, and sofas. Only 2 cabanas upstairs had lounge chairs to lay out in the sun, we asked if there was a way we could get some lounge chairs and we were told, "No, sorry. Each cabana has their own unique furnishings and this one does not have lounge chairs. The furniture is moveable though, so you can push any pieces of the sofas out to lounge on". You're not allowed to sit or lay on the edge of the semi-private pool in front of your cabana, so if you want sun you have no choice but to move the heavy furniture outside of the cabana to sunbathe. When we moved pieces of the sofa out into the sun, the empty space under the sofa was disgusting with all sorts of debris, trash, and stains from spilled drinks. Cleanliness was not a top priority, clearly. Cool to have a private cabana, but man what a pain to enjoy if you're looking for some time in the sun. It was nice having a semi-private pool, but obviously you do have to share it with the cabana next to you. We were mostly lucky in that the cabana next to us was another local couple who were fairly nice, but they did kind of commandeer the pool at one point and kind of made it their own for 30ish minutes. I felt bad though for another couple a few cabanas down that had to share their pool with a family which included several children, also the 2 girls in the cabana opposite of us that were clearly uncomfortable sharing a pool with a group of douchey frat boys. Definitely a gamble in how your cabana experience will be, not knowing who you'll have to share your semi-private pool with. Our waitress was really friendly, although when we initially asked for cups of ice water we were told we had to order one of the bottled water options; that just increased our annoyance with their new no reusable water bottle policy, but we digressed and each ordered an $8 bottle of Topo Chico. Like all Vegas pools, drinks are spendy! We each ordered a 12oz cocktail, I got a piña colada and my husband got a pain killer - $17 each. We were then hungry for lunch so ordered chicken nachos which were $18. They were filling, but felt a little overpriced. Once we ordered a few cocktails and food, then all of a sudden our waitress was able to bring us free cups of ice water. Even if you're sober, expect to spend money on some sort of beverage since free water only comes after you spend money on other beverages & food items first. Despite the little annoyances, we mostly enjoyed our time here. It was nice having a cabana to relax in and not having to search for a decent poolside lounger. I may consider taking another day off work to take advantage of this locals deal again before kids are out of school and run rampant. Although, not sure I'd want to spend $50+ again on drinks/food when I can go to The M for $10 and bring in my own Hydroflask for water...

Amazing and fun place. Awesome pool, great food and drink options throughout. Not on the strip but an oasis just down the street. An incredible remodel in the past couple of years. Highly recommended!!

I had an amazing day at the palms pool. We arrived and we were able to get a lily pad which Jarviss, whom we met at check in recommended. He took great care of us and even checked on us a couple times. The water was refreshing, the drinks were great and the service was great all around. We enjoyed ourselves and will for sure be back to rent one of the upper private areas. Wanted to give a shout out to Jarviss and our server Alexandra. thank you for going the extra mile.

My group and I rented a cabana on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. We've also visited in a smaller group and rented a lily pad and umbrella couch--each experience was enjoyable. While we occasionally lost track of our server, the rest of the wait staff was always helpful and quick to assist. The pool temperatures were perfect during our second and third visits in July, and the atmosphere is gorgeous overall. The DJ kept the vibe lively with a great mix of music, and the roasted veggie plate with hummus is a must-try! One heads-up: if you're lounging below the second-floor pool cabanas, you might catch a splash or two if the party upstairs gets a little wild.

Now lets talk Tanie, he couldn't function because he was too busy being a complete jerk to everyone, including the employees. He was the least functional bartender, but certainly the loudest.
