Cool spot for kids, but the policies need work. You can't bring in food unless you pay for a party--how is that fair to families who paid to swim? If food's an issue, it should apply to everyone. Also saw a family pay at the entrance, then decide to leave before even entering--and they were denied a refund. No signs said "No Refunds," and when they asked for a manager, she escalated things and called the police instead of defusing it. This is what happens when you have inexperienced young people running the place. The manager clearly didn't know how to handle the situation or show any kind of leadership. Someone nearby said, "It's only $23," but that's not the point. It's about the principle. You never know someone's financial situation--that could've been their last bit of money for the day. IM BEYOND UPSET WITH THE RULE CHANGES OF THIS POOL. I used to come here almost everyday during the summer with my kids for years.. up until today. First off, I waited 30 minutes in line to get in, to only be told that they changed their rules and are now requiring EVERY child under 48 inches to be accompanied by an adult. Meaning a single mom of 2 wouldn't be able to go, nor would two parents with 4 littles either. I came with 4 kids - 2 know how to swim, 2 need floaties. But 3/4 of them were under 48" so I was turned away. It's absolutely ridiculous that even had their dad came, we still wouldn't have been able to go in. It would've been appreciated had they had a sign or something before wasting my time in line. Sucks but I'll never come back here again and will be going to the YMCA instead read more

This was a fun place. We had our own vest for our daughter but it wasn't certified. Thankfully the pool provides their own life jackets which was cool. The pool is not that big but its enough for the kids and adults to enjoy. They have a kiddie splashpad, a diving board that goes leads to 10 feet of water (you must show the lifeguard you can swim one lap first) and there's large slides. The water starts as low as 1 feet for the kids. I saw some signs for community events but nothing on swim lessons. Ironically it was 102° outside but we were cold in the pool. To the point my ears were freezing LOL! For $3/person(free 3 and under) that is nice for the community. We look forward to checking out some of the the other pools. Garside Pool located in Summerlin was a blast. Very affordable for families with multiple kids. The best $8 spent this summer (two adults one child). They do take both card and cash.Parking is free subject to availability. It gets packed. We had to park in residential areas. After you enter into the gender specific locker rooms, there are bathrooms, showers and lockers to store your items.You can bring snacks because I didn't see any place to purchase food items. It has two waterslides height restrictions do apply for safety. The lifeguard on duty monitoring the slide was super fun and engaging with the kids.He made jokes and splashed them. You can tell he enjoyed his job. Love that. It wasn't overwhelming for small kids because they have wading areas and the pool is sectioned off by depth.The pool also provides life jackets to those that didn't have them.Lifeguards are on point not distracted. There's a diving board and splash zone that the kids had a time squirting water, mini slide and there's a water dumping tank that with wipe you out if you're not careful. Super fun. Overall I would definitely recommend going with the family at least once this summer. The only thing that I would recommend is that you don't drink the water and take a shower afterwards because it's a community pool.Hope you have a memorable experience too. read more

Got here a little before 6pm and parking lot still empty and just 2 families in front of us to enter. As we were waiting to pay, the line started getting longer. Quick process, they accept cash, no bills larger than $20 and card. But I've read card machine is sometimes down so just make sure you have cash on you. 3 and under free, $2 entry for 4-17, $3 18+ Since we got there early, we chose a table underneath the tent near the showers just so I could keep our bags there and flip flops. They have showers and lockers inside the restrooms too but we just kept everything out. They have a kiddie section with a small slide and 2 slides for older kids/adults. Height limit is 48". The water for the kids is pretty strong. My daughter didn't like going through the stairs to get to the slide. Pool is 3ft - 6ft. They block off a section with a diving board which is 5ft - 12ft. You do need to do the swimming test with the lifeguard to swim from one end to the other to get a wristband so you could go in that section. Lifeguards are at every section. They do pay attention as whistles kept blowing so that's a plus. No place to purchase foods/drinks that i saw. Really not to sure about that but there is a sign in the front that says no drinks allowed. I didn't bring my water bottle and nothing was said. Epic place for the kids I must say. My kids enjoyed themselves. It's not cowabunga bay but for the price it's great. It gets crowded but hey, it's still fun. read more

Our go to for the summer ! $3 for adult $2 for children 4-17, free 3 and under. Opens at noon, and we get here a quarter after to find somewhere to sit as there are limited spaces to sit with shade. Lockers provided which are a quarter. And life vests made available as well. They DO NOT sell beverages or food nor allow any food inside unless water bottles. Life guards are very attentive. 6 on duty if diving board is open. Pools are big. Two water slides- one fast, one slow. Water play ground in the middle on the very shallow side for smaller children I admit I was skeptical because of the negative reviews, but glad we came to check it out on our own. Love how cheap it is and surprisingly the water is super cold, and oddly to say don't have that dirty taste My children had so much fun. I was in and out to dip and back to my lounge chair. I wanted to take my kids here during the day to swim but the hours are difficult to find and they are only open in the evenings.

My niece and nephew LOVE this pool. And as an adult I do as well. They have great afternoon hours and as well as good evening hours. The cost is about two to three bucks per person. Even if you aren't swimming you'd have to pay the fee. They also have a diving board and a slide so give this pool a try. It's randomly hidden on in a neighborhood so it's a safe pool. read more

Terrible pool last week when I was there, we were kicked out of the area on the ground because somebody apparently rented out the ground and they didn't have it marked off so we weren't allowed to sit against the wall in the shade and was treated super rudely by people who were there today we go there cause unfortunately we live in an apartment complex that doesn't have a pool open yet so my kids can play in the water and they're gonna say they have the whole thing rented out for a private event. This is a community pool. How are you allowed to rent out entire thing and nobody can go in it's literally ridiculous. I hate this pool. I'm never gonna go back. read more

Very nice pool. During quarantine, they are doing 2 hour swim blocks, and I suggest getting there 45 minutes early because we did not get in two times in a row, for the 5pm and 7pm blocks, which seemed to be most popular. We got in the next day for the 2pm block, which I think a lot of people avoid because they think it'll be too hot in triple digit heat, but there were still cold parts to the pool, so I actually think as hot as possible is the best time to go for a nice warm swim! I did message the city that they should implement an online reservation system like Clark County and city of Henderson because there was basically a mob of people with no organized system for putting people on the first come, first serve waitlist, and small children waiting outside in the extremely hot sun for almost an hour. Until they do, I probably won't go back because the online reservation system at the other pools mentioned above is much more efficient and accommodating with guaranteed entry. They do take temperatures, which is great, and it's a really cute water park with complimentary life jacket-style floaties. No inflatables or access to locker room or showers, restrooms only. read more

The pool is cool. I had to demote a star because the 12-4pm lady at the desk had a list of rules and was being a taskmaster. She said I couldn't wear a shirt and trunks when there were women in there dressed like that. When I returned from 6-9pm the other woman was more laid back. It's unfortunate that you have be ethnically connected to cashiers in order to not get the third degree. Awesome pool. Clean, staff are friendly. Due to COVID -19 they allowed people to go in by sessions, so arrived 15 minutes early to get temperature check and check in. $2 for kid $3 for adult. Each session is one hour and a half. Call for time. Love the pool is not too crowded. They have 2 big slides both of them are open. Good for big kids too cause they have a diving board. Visited a second time and did not have as much fun, left within an hour. The area surrounding the kids play area smelled like old urine. I noticed this on my fist visit but thought maybe it was just a one time occurrence. The smell was even stronger this time which leads me to believe the water is not being treated properly. If not the water maybe the smell is coming from a drain that leads to the bathroom sewer pipes. Whatever it is they need to fix it. It was so powerful I pulled my child out of the water. 2 stars for the slides and diving board but I do not want to frolic around in warm pissy smelling water. I will not be back. Also, most of the lifeguards are not at all friendly. No smiles, no greetings, I sensed a nose in the air kind of attitude. One of the male lifeguards told another that the teenagers I came with were having sex in the water which they were definitely not. No hugging, kissing or anything of the sort. This made her feel uncomfortable especially since he said it within her earshot. He was way out of line. read more

And the hours accommodate families who don't want to expose themselves to skin cancer during the hellish afternoons like other pools. Glad I found this place. Been here quite a few times now and love it. In the day time the water is nice. There're 2 water slides, a diving board and a great kiddie area. I like this place so much we just had our sons bday party there. We brought in extra tables and chairs because there wouldn't be enough for our guests ( only 4 in the reserved area). The pool was great and our experience was awesome until the last few minutes that we were there. One of the children in our group was coming out of the women's locker room, and upon exiting the life jacket rack is next to the exit. When the child came out of the door the sharp corner of the rack hit her foot cutting it open. She was bleeding and there was staff watching her freak out we had to ask for help. Once they took her into first aid they tried to call an ambulance for a cut on her foot. They also told us that this has happened to multiple people even the lifeguards injure them self on the open metal corners on this life jacket rack. The child needed stitches and this is a huge problem that needs to be fixed. Even though the location and everything about it was amazing we will not be returning due to the negligence of safety precautions for children, adults, and the staff at this location. I felt like they were being very rude while providing the child first aid. There are a ton of rec center pools in Las Vegas I will never go back here. read more

We go to this pool almost everyday in the summer months. It's very nice. Clean. The locker rooms and bathrooms are always very clean. They also have showers. The lockers are .25 cents to rent. It's just such a great deal all the way around! There are plenty of places to sit in the shade. Quite a few table/benches. They supply the life jackets to children who need them at no additional charge. All the lifeguards are awesome with the exception of one. There's always 1 bad apple in the bunch! Anna or Annie I think her name was. She is just rude to us every single time we cross her path. We just stay away from her and have fun. But everyone else is wonderful! Prices went up this year by $1. Last year it was $2 for adults and $1 for kids. This year it's $3 for adults and $2 for kids. That is still not bad at all. We love Garside pool and will continue to come back. Thank you to all the wonderful lifeguards who help us watch our children and keep them all safe I take my niece, my 5 year old brother and my 3-4 nephews and their friends. I am stretched very thin some days and em always standing over all of them like a stalker lol. I'm what they call a helicopter parent lol. And I get so nervous when I have that many kids. How on earth am I going to keep eyes on some many at once all by my self? So when I come to Garside I am not so overwhelmed knowing that I have lifeguards right next to me that care just as much as I do for my kids safety. They rotate positions in a circle every 15 mins. So no lifeguard gets tunnel vision. They are constantly alert. It's a wonderful idea to make sure everyone is fresh on their feet. So for all these lifeguards do to keep our children safe... We've been keeping our eye on this one for a while now, watching the various phases of construction, not to mention the opening date getting pushed back. In all, it was well worth the wait. The toddler area, with a climb-on platform that is constantly sprayed from numerous fountains is great for keeping the little ones cool. The kiddie area has a beach-type shoreline, so the little ones can walk or crawl into the water. (Max of about 2ft. depth surrounding the platform, but be careful, as it gets deeper heading to the big pool). For the big kids, there is a double water slide and diving pool, so plenty of fun for the whole family. The facility has a locker room (with coin lockers) changing area and showers. Just outside the locker rooms, they have flotation vests to loan for those not yet able to swim on their own. Adjacent the pool area, there are a limited number of shaded picnic tables, along with concrete benches in the kiddie area. All in all, a great facility, not to mention all this for $1-kids, $2.50 adults. read more

The water shoots up from the stairs very hard and is rough for the kids to get through my kids are 1, 5, and 10 and all 3 thought this as well as myself when I tried to take the 1 year old. The water pressure on the slides for bigger kids seemed low and many get stuck about half way down. The pool and diving board were nice and all the staff was great. read more

Pool is nice, but very strict and not much fun. The pool is made for little kids and not much room to swim and enjoy the water. The deep end is closed off you can only go 5 ft deep even when the diving board is closed. The water slides were nice but other that I wouldn't recommend it for adults or teenagers. read more

This pool is really just for kids (great kiddy pool), you aren't allowed to sit on anyone's shoulders in the pool, there are no lounging/tanning chairs, no matter your age you have to do a swim test before using the diving board, the deepest available area is 5ft, the slides are nice. read more

Awesome public pool! Love that it has the kid section and the deep section. The only down fall is that the time it opens is inaccurate, it opens for swimming lessons at 11 am but to the public at 12pm. So I sat in the parking lot waiting for it to open. This is a great place to take younger children it has an area designed for toddlers where the water is 1-1.5 feet deep and a huge structure that has all kinds of sprinklers as well as a bucket that fills up and dumps water every several minutes. There are 2 water slides an open design and a tube, the only thing is there needs to be a little more water flow to move because we were getting stuck. the only other down note is that the swimming area for big kids and adults is relatively small.
