The Pavilion Center Pool just finished a brand new addition. Now there are two pools. One is indoors and one is outdoors. Both pools are Olympic size. They offer lanes for lap swimming and open areas for exercise classes. This new pool is gorgeous and now swim meets can be held outside. There is also a large screen TV installed to provide scoring for these meets and maybe a dive in movie or two during the hot summer months. I have taken aqua classes here in the past and am now excited to participate in the outdoor classes. These pools are open every day except Sunday. They offer various passes for one month or three months. Pricing ranges from $30 - $70 An exercise pass is also offered for $20 per month. These passes are valid at all city of Las Vegas pools. I have been going to this pool for several months. I power walk in the water. I started this over a year ago to rehab a knee replacement. I am 79 years old and refuse to act that age. I have lost in that time over 70 pounds. Pavilion pool is responsible for about half of that weight loss. I highly recommend this location. Every single person is friendly. The pool area and locker area are both very clean. In just a few months a new outdoor pool will be opening and I can't wait. I would love to see them upgrade the locker area but maybe that's their next project. There is something for everyone here, any level of non-swimming to diving ability. There are lessons as well as leave me alone and let me swim and play areas. Highly recommended and the price is right. There are no residential requirements. read more

I'm sure it's a great facility and the employees are actually nice and have ok customer service but it seems like they need to get a grip on their scheduling and hours. I called frequently before arriving there for a swim test for my niece and at first, they said that I could come at any time. I called 3 hours before I arrived confirming that I could really come at any time (seemed like the kind of thing you'd have to make an appointment for) - long story short they said yes again but to call an hour before arriving. I proceeded to call an hour before I arrived -- but already on my way because it's almost 30 minutes from my home -- and they switched it up on me and said that I can no longer come for a swim test because they had no employees available. I understand things happen, the employees/lifeguards have classes to teach, ok. But to never mention that beforehand and just let a customer assume for days ahead that they can just show up is unprofessional and rude to be "left hanging". I appreciate the lady who spoke with me offering a makeup date for the following day but I called in advance, days before, for that specific day for a reason. Me trying to take up on their rescheduling, I asked if we can do the weekend instead, and they said "maybe". That's just unacceptable I'm sorry, I'm already thrown off by you guys basically canceling on me an hour before that I can't accept a "maybe". Again, I get it things happen, employees get busy or call off but how about just don't say that I can come at anytime and get a little kid's hopes up. read more

I called to ask what the best time to lap swim was and was told "no time, we are always busy." I would have appreciated a little more information and understanding from the staff member who answered the phone, they came off rude and impatient. I understand that staff don't want to "guarantee" the public anything, but give me an educated opinion at least. Do not trust management or staff. Video of one of the coaches dropping my son's swim parka in their offices but then claim there is nothing showing it leaving after. Poor responses of no responsibility. Very convenient no video of jacket leaving. Amazing how camera system can see it being dropped off but not leaving. Maybe the jacket grew feet and camouflaged itself to escape. But more likely someone who worked there took it because they are expensive. Obviously I have no proof but the excuses as to why they don't properly lock doors or take responsibility was sad. read more

I have taken shallow water, deep water and Zumba classes since June, 2022. Our instructor is experienced, enthusiastic and fun. Members pay $20 per month for class privileges and open swimming. The women's locker room and showers are often in disrepair. The facility shares the parking lot with Palo Verde HS students, some of whom abuse the space, smoke pot between classes, leave trash and broken glass behind and ignore the rules of courteous driving. The pool itself is Olympic size, scenic and pristine. Management at this location turns a blind eye to constructive feedback from members. Classes are canceled at times without notice. Management consistently communicate in a condescending manner and challenge input. Most lifeguards are well meaning young students. Some call in absent regularly which negatively impacts our class schedule with no repercussions from the pool manager, office manager or schedule coordinator. Our class members range in age from 50-80+ years old. Occasionally we attract younger members. All of us enjoy active, healthy lifestyles and should be treated respectfully. read more

The pool is located indoors. I love the location, in between the high school and community center. There are many classes that you can sign up for a few $ at a drop in price. They also have monthly plans if it's easier. The challenge I have had is that the staff I have spoken with at the front desk have not been knowledgeable on services etc. For example, I'm looking for a free swim. Due to classes and swim teams, they need certain lanes but I have not been able to figure out where to swim. So far, I just swim until someone says they need that space then I move to a different part of the pool. I would like more assistance on this kind of thing from staff. There are lockers both in the locker room and by the pool (no need to bring a lock) which is nice. Also a few bleachers for sitting. read more

We've had a great experience at Pavilion pool. We have both of our daughters in classes here. The lifeguards/coaches have all been wonderful (special shout out to Kai and Megan)! Our youngest daughter bumped her head falling off the bleachers, and the lifeguard Denzel was super kind and patient to her while taking care of her. In these very tough times, I am so glad their are people like Gabby, Ariana, Diane and Courtney to give us all a really warm welcome and a pleasant wee chat if they are not too busy checking temperatures, making sure everyone knows where they are going and goodness knows how many other extra tasks they have to do due to this coronavirus. Sophia and Thomas are the only 2 names I remember from the life guards, they helped me out a couple of times with questions, both were very polite and more the happy to help. All of the lifeguards are very focused on their jobs but always have time to smile and say you're welcome and did you enjoy your swim or some kind of pleasantry. I asked one of the lady's to write the names down of these people as I have only just started going and it's great having such a nice atmosphere (especially today when they were had the American songs going for the wind up for the 4th tomorrow) Apologies to the staff that I will probably ended up kicking myself for forgetting, but you have been so friendly. The management must be very proud of the whole team. I hope everyone enjoys celebrating America's 244 years of Independence from Westminster tomorrow . This pool is around the corner from my house so we have it a try for my sons swimming lessons. He's 4. His teacher was really nice and did a great job, even with my son not being eager to participate. He knew just how much to push him to learn, and when to back off- it was great for trust-building. I've also taken swim aerobics here and HIIT. The first was really just moving in the water. The hiit class though... that got my heart pumping & I loved it. I even loved the teacher and the other ladies in class- very friendly bunch. My only complaint is the front desk staff. There are one or two who are extremely rude and I swear they try to communicate things in the most odd way it doesn't make any sense. It just creates a lot of confusion and is extremely unnecessary. They really shouldn't be anywhere they need to deal with people directly. read more

Located on South Pavillion Center drive in Summerlin, the Pavilion Center Pool reopened in December 2010 after some upgrades and renovations which included a new enclosed roof. The center includes * Fifty-meter by 25-yard indoor pool * 14 lane competitive pool * One 1-meter springboard * One 3-meter springboard * Pool Lift * One outdoor pavilion Pavilion houses plenty of different club based organizations which includes Synchronized swimming, water polo, Children's swim classes as well as Viva Las Vegas Masters Swim team which encompasses triathletes, swimmers and pretty much anyone who desires to get in and learn to swim that are 16 years old and above. The council also employs lifeguards every time the pool is open. So if you come in on a recreational swim or you have kids that are not good swimmers, you'll have safety precautions in place. Lockers are also available free of charge in both woman's and men's change rooms. Also provided is hot showers as well. I really do like this facility, it's clean and well organized. They do not have a shop with swim products like swim wear, goggles or food/ drink products, so make sure to pack before you come by. I really loved the pool! It wasn't too deep and way very big. I even got to use my monofin. But I can't use it on the weekends because that's when more people are there. So only during the week. That's fine with me! They also have big locker rooms and a lot of lockers. Just bring ur own lock. The showers also get hot quick! Awesome!! You can also bring a blow dryer and plug it in if you need to. read more

I am quite impressed with the efficient running of the swimming events that are a part of the Nevada Senior Games. My one reservation is the lack of spectator seating. I don't know if the Pavilion Pool is used for other competition events, I would think it is. This facility is definitely not spectator friendly. read more

A great place for swimming lessons for kids of all ages. My daughter loves going to class! Instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, which is helpful when your child is nervous about swimming. To top it off, the cost for classes are very reasonable. I haven't been here in cooler months but in the hot Las Vegas summer it can be warm and very humid inside so dress appropriately. read more

I find the instructors to be well mannered and good teachers. The pool is divided into lap lanes , family area and diving area. Hours are convenient. My biggest concern with public pools is the cleanliness of the facility; Pavilion Pool does not disappoint. Entry is minimal. $3 for adults and $2 for kids. Swim lessons are $20ish a month. The water is a bit chilly but not overly cold. read more

Don't get me wrong, this pool is great. Lots of lanes and a large center pool for the kids. However, I have different things to say about certain employees here. Someone came up to me and told me that normally, kick boards aren't allowed in the pool. Whaaaat?! The pool provides these kick boards. Plus, I asked the office if I could use one and they happily handed one over to me! He took kick boards from some of the kiddies too and a lady who was using it to learn how to swim.
