My now 10yr son has been with Aloha Aquatics for over a year now and he loves it here. He's been in swimming classes ever since he was 4 yrs old, however, he had a long break for almost two years since we moved from California to LV and then a few months later, we had the pandemic. Because he missed two years of classes, he had to do a level over to re learn some swimming techniques and skills. All the instructors he's had so far work very well with him and his classmates. Update part 3: Mary spoke to me and after 15 emails called me and answered all of my questions. I was able to sign my kids up for class. I met with Thomas on the first day and was shown around the pool area. The only con so far is that my daughter's were confused as too why they had to wear swim caps when there are kids in the class not wearing them. It says online that they have to wear swim caps so I thought it was a requirement. read more

Took my 8 month old to his first Mommy and Me class and it was amazing! Upon entering we were greeted by the staff who was so friendly, upbeat, and welcoming. We checked in and were given a little tour to familiarize with changing areas and restrooms, which were extremely clean. Our instructor was AMAZING! I have a pool at home and would never of thought to do these activities/exercises with my baby. My son loved it and slept so good after which is always a bonus for parents. I was so happy we were able to get a spot because I know they have a waitlist. We are signed up weekly now and can't wait to see my little guy progress. Great place for kids to learn how to swim. The pool is warmer than the YMCA pool which kids love. Kids can swim year long and not be cold. When they get out of the pool the whole room is warmer and the showers are nearby. The facility is clean and the workers are friendly. Kids learn at their own pace so don't expect your kids to be like Michael Phelps after they finish their summer classes. I recommend year round classes if you want your child to be good at swimming. 2 months of class is not enough to make them great swimmers. I could go into a big long story about what led to the interaction I just had with the owner, Jennifer, this week but I will just sum it up in one statement: If she is so busy, and has so many customers, that she has to forego customer service - then she should seriously consider not taking on additional customers. I am a customer that if I get rubbed the wrong way, or I have a bad experience with a worker or business or product - I can be won back over with smooth talk and a simple apology. This woman was so nasty, so rude, and so insulting to me - I was just floored. I made it quite clear when I left the facility today that I would definitely NOT recommend her and her business to anyone...EVER. I can't speak to the quality of her lessons, or her facility, because a family member was taking my daughter to her lessons every Monday, so I hadn't had any interaction with these people except for over the phone. But when Jennifer spoke to me the way she did - first on Monday over the phone and then again today when I went in there to try and work through our misunderstandings - I was floored and I had to speak up. I don't see how I can possibly be the only person she has ever talked to like this or treated....?! I will say that Sheri and whoever was in the office today....was VERY polite and very professional and almost had me keeping my daughter in her swimming lessons for March. ....and then Jennifer opened her mouth again telling me she didn't want my business....?! That only tells me one thing - she is over capacity for what she can handle as a business and doesn't care what kind of customer servce she gives. I can understand if I had been rude, out of line, or inappropriate in any way to them - but that is not the case. I don't know what business training Jennifer has had - but I was always taught the customer is always right, kiss their ass, and apologize and they will walk away happy. I am a little disappointed so far. We started my 3 yr old daughter in classes because her Nana, who watches her 2 days a week, had a pool installed. So we found Aloha. I liked the mommy & me classes. But when she graduated from the mommy & me class to the group classes I thought she'd improve. But I watch every week as the instructor does the same thing and the classes get bigger and bigger and I'm not sure she's getting any better. There is absolutely no talking between the instructors & parents on their kids progress and I think that would be great so parents can understand how their child is doing. I'd like to see smaller classes. Because I pay good money for these lessons and the classes are only 30 minutes and there are so many kids in the class, my daughter only gets to swim or practice for less than 10 minutes. As I'm writing this, I am seriously considering a different place. The staff is friendly enough but Ms. Jennifer seems to get better results than Ms. Priscilla. Facility is nice but shower area only had one shower handle & theres a lot of traffic and it's difficult at times. read more

After trying out a competing swim school for my 4 year old daughter where I was completely dissatisfied and disappointed, Aloha Aquatic Center was like a knight in shining armor. It is obvious that the mother/daughter team that owns and teach here take great pride in what they do. The instructors here are 110% attentive to the children and are very knowledgable in swim instruction. My daughter has been taking a group lesson once a week for over a month now, and the progress she has made is fantastic. The courage that she gained after the very first lesson was quite impressive. The pricing is very reasonable, the waiting room and shower areas are very clean, and the instructors are top notch. If you are looking for top-quality swimming lessons, this is the place to be. I am very happy with Aloha Aquatic Center, and how they treated me and my family. All of the instructors are so great with the kids, and are very good at what they do. Jennifer, the owner, is the best! You can tell this is something Jennifer has been doing her entire life; and she really has a passion for teaching swim lessons and water safety to children. I have watched her teach some of the most nervous and afraid children to become competent, water-loving swimmers. Also, Aloha's customer service is beyond any other swim school (or business) that I have been to. Every time I take my family to swim lessons, they are more than accommodating. The office staff makes sure the parents are their top priority, and the swim instructors make the children their top priority. My 18 month old just had her first swim lesson. I was afraid it was going to be traumatizing or literally she would do nothing. I was pleasantly surprised by the activities they do with the kids. In her first lesson, they encouraged kicking, floating on her back, and putting her face in the water. There were about 5-6 parent/toddler teams and the instructor rotated through each child. Some kids were more advanced and she tailored it to what they had already learned. They incorporated games also which my daughter loved. I know a lot of complaints are regarding their make up policies, but they give a packet with everything outlined. I think everything is fair, they run a business. We signed up for the month of June and we are out of town one weekend when we are scheduled for our lesson. I told them when we would be gone as soon as I signed up. I was able to schedule a makeup session. I wish they had volunteered to schedule a makeup sesson when I told them we would be gone versus having to follow up. But hey sometimes you have to be proactive. My only other complaint is that it gets kind of crowded in the showering area after lessons with the parents/kids all trying to rinse off. Otherwise, we had a great first experience. read more

The classes were okay, but their make up policy is terrible. They would not honor make ups because I was given one day and time that we couldn't make. We were not given the option of any other days or times, and we just lost those classes. They didn't even try to work with me so I canceled my daughter's classes. Very disappointing. read more

I just got off the phone with Jennifer to let her I need to cancel swim classes for a student. I told her they just pulled my money out for 135.00 for the month of July. The student is moving out of state in an emergency and wont be able to attend anymore classes. I was told by Jennifer nope sorry no refunds. You have to cancel by the 15th of the month. This emergency was not planned. Thats why its an emergency. I also reminded her that of the three classes she missed due to illnes I was promised to be notified of any make up classes. Not one phone call to make up any classes missed. I would have settle for some compensation for cancelling but she flat out said Nope. So if I were you and youre thinking if signing up dont pre pay. They will keep your money for not working for you. read more

If you're looking for a small, family-oriented environment with individualized instruction, Aloha can't be beat. We reached out to Aloha about six months ago because our 8-year-old daughter was interested in learning all four strokes so she could try out for a local swim team. They were very up front with us and said it would probably take 4-6 months for her to become "stroke ready." Sure enough, we went to the tryout a couple weeks ago, and she made the team. Here's the kicker though - Tamas (who co-owns Aloha with his wife, Mary) drove more than 30 minutes from his home on the other side of Las Vegas ON HIS OFF-DAY just to be at our daughter's try-out and offer encouragement and support for her. We didn't even ask for that - he offered! Even though she's now on a swim team, she wants to stay at Aloha because she loves the teachers so much. They provide great, technical instruction, while still making it fun for the kids. You really can't go wrong with Aloha! read more

Yeah a friendly nice staff and nice clean warm pool, that's great and the kids ( 5&8) love going awesome. However the lessons don't teach much. 4 + months ( once a week) of lessons still wearing floaties, can't float on own, can't roll over on own, can't doggie paddle OR tread water. Suppose to be trained for?? It's a waste really a big disappointment. I've seen 16 moths year Olds swim better with at home training done by a patent that knows how to swim. I have always been afraid to swim and am in my mid-60s. In order to face my fear of the water I enrolled at Aloha Aquatic Center and that was the best decision I made. Jennifer is a miracle worker. She has consistently provided me with excellent instruction. She is a devoted, dedicated and compassionate instructor. She is always making sure that water safety is in the forefront of her instruction. She provides immediate feedback and ways to improve every stroke. The facility is clean and so are the restrooms/locker rooms and they have showers for when the class is over. We have only been for the last three weeks but my kids love it already! We go to Jennifer's class on Tuesdays and its a lot of fun. Small class sizes and she is GREAT with the kids one on one. Each kid gets personal attention during the class. read more

My daughter had been going here for over 6 months and i would have nothing negative to say about it IF they hadnt sold my spot when we didnt even miss a payment! We show up last week for class and i gave them my new card, go into the class and the instructor tells me that our spot had been sold because i didnt answer a phone call even though we have always paid and never said we were cancelling!!!
