Ron, Travis, and Jodi with Lifeguard Pools came to my pools rescue. There were issues with the pool changing to green. I did have a weekly maintenance company serving the pool, but they were never getting to the issue of getting the water to be clear and crisp. I was at my wits end until I found Ron with Lifeguard Pools. Ron and Travis worked with my pool until it was working correctly and even checked out the equipment outside and inside wall panel. Ron found the inside wall panel was programed incorrectly (old company changed to daylight savings and totally messed up the programs). Ron fixed the issue. Ron and his team are very professional and even though they could speak poorly about the company that I had, they never did. They were able to correct all issues that my pool was having and they did it in ONE WEEK!!!! Oh, my goodness, one week, where I was having the other company come constantly and it was never fixed. From the first time I called Lifeguard Pools and spoke to Jodi, things moved quickly. I appreciate what all these folks did to save the pool and my sanity! I most certainly will pass along my great experience with Lifeguard Pools. Oh, almost forgot, they recommended a maintenance company that I switched to and they came out on their day off just to make sure everything was good to go. I've been waiting a long time to place this review because "Covid" made everything impossible !!! I met with a designer for this company in December 2020. Justin came up with a beautiful design and after a few tweaks we were ready for groundbreaking January 2021. To be perfectly honest, building a pool is not for the feint of heart. A lot of anxiety and frustration goes into this process. But after many many months of setbacks and heartbreak we now have an amazing pool and outdoor kitchen that has taken my breath away. When people arrive for a gathering their responses are all identical ... "Wow !! Is this your home or a resort !!" This is long overdue but I'm so glad we went with Lifeguard Pools. For background, we initially signed a contract with a different builder, but a week after, I had this feeling that we had made a mistake. We lost our security deposit in the process but I'm so glad that we switched to Ron and his whole crew. From the design concept, to construction, to the day-to-day work, I would say that we are very happy with the service provided. Shout out to my superb designer Justin for listening carefully to my vision and making our dream pool a reality. We hit an aquifer during the dig but thanks to Ron's expertise, we were confident that we were building a pool to last. Thanks to our superintendent Travis for making sure that we understood how to keep the pool sparkling clean once it was built, and for answering our silly questions, even on his days off. I had issues with Ron the owner the entire time we were building the pool, but I did not to post review. Now I decided to because he is so disagreeable. Lifeguard Pools sent out a warranty company to look at some of my equipment that was not operating properly. When they came to my house, they discovered that my filter was very dirty. It had never been cleaned because I was never told about the appropriate maintenance that was necessary. I texted Ron and asked for information or a manual about pool maintenance I had never been fully Informed about when and what I should do. Instead of being helpful he told me that YouTube will have videos and I should look it up. I'm not sure what I should look up, but he wasn't gracious enough to answer my questions. I wouldn't treat my clients like that, but since he was paid in full and on time, I guess he didn't think it was necessary to be helpful. He's always up for a disagreement. read more

Let me start by saying the opposite of another reviewer, Run To Ron!! I shopped pool builders over the entire Vegas Valley before I found Lifeguard Pools and Ron. In fact, he was a last minute appointment when I had already chosen another company. First off, Ron is NOT a salesman, he sits and listens to what you want then pencils out a drawing of what he can build for you. He never once bad mouthed the competition and never pressured me into a quick contract with him. Ron had no idea of the prices he was bidding against, and he not only bid apples to apples, but used better and higher end products in his bid for an overall lower price. Not one other pool builder took the time to tell me why he used a certain product, but said he would substitute my own choice if I liked for the same price. Were there set backs and delays in getting my pool and backyard built on time? Yes, but they were all within reason and for the price and MOST important, the quality it was never an issue and always worth the wait. The proof in the pudding is when the marriage comes to an end (pool and backyard are completed) and you have to say goodbye. Every time I set foot into my backyard I give thanks to Ron for going above and beyond making my dreams come true. I mean who couldn't get excited over looking at three waterfalls, a stream, and a fabulous outdoor kitchen every day!! Even my friends that have had pools for years came over and said they wished they had found Ron first. AND, I can not take an ounce of credit for any part of the design that Ron created. I went out on a limb and gave him total carte blanche to design an over the top backyard and am I ever glad I went out on that limb!!! I'm not one to write reviews very often on Yelp, or anywhere for that matter, but when I see one and two star reviews that are either written by his competitors to hurt him or someone that is having a bad day, I thought I would speak from my heart. To read that he never returns phone calls from a one star review is just ludicrous. I wish everyone was as diligent at returning calls as Ron is. If you're thinking about building a pool, contact Ron and tell him you want to see his work in my back yard. See if the other one star will let you see theirs. I'm betting not. My project is a year old now and I have given Ron no less that three other contacts and everyone of them used Ron and is as happy as I am. Thank you Ron and Lifeguard Pools!!! read more

Ron and co. started our pool construction in 9/19. He was very personable and did a unique design to fit our needs. After the contract was executed, communication was severely lacking and deadlines were consistently pushed back. A few months after the project was completed (01/20) we noticed several issues with the water flow in our water feature and cracks in the decking. It took several attempts to get him to come out and look at the issues. We were assured this would all be taken care of and requested to wait until the weather cooled to ensure no more cracks developed from settlement. Come cooler temps, we reached out again multiple times with no response. For someone who has been in this industry for 20+ years, I would expect a higher level of commitment and follow-through. Sadly, we also had referred another family to them when we were in the beginning phases and they encountered similar issues with communication and follow-through. read more

9.22.17 - I saw a Lifeguard Pools ad in one of the home magazines and decided to call to inquire about getting an estimate and information on having a pool built. Ron, the owner, answered the phone and answered a few questions for me. He then said he was not near his book and would call me back in an hour to set up a time to come look at my yard. That was 4 days ago. In the days where good contractors are hard to come by, I have a concern if I'm spending quite a bit of money on a pool and I can't even get a return phone call. It took FOREVER to finish our pool. Many promises on timeline were not met. We have a beautiful backyard, but we had to be on top of everything including design and landscape. Quoted 8 to 12 weeks, we were finally finished after 26 weeks. Since we finished, I have sent text for follow up...CRICKETS! read more

Ron, the owner was definitely not interested in a small job and before I could even explain the job, he pretty much cut me off. Then when I told him it was actually a big job for potential for more, he all of a sudden was interested. Unfortunately, when he said he would call me on Monday, he never did. Not sure why people advertise if they are not interested in taking a job. Wastes everybody's time. Good contractors will take jobs, big or small regardless. This is how the referral system works. The owner, Ron M. is a very pleasant, nice guy. We were very excited to start this pool remodel and felt like he would be able to meet our expectations. This was a big re- model costing a lot of money. We started to realize that we would have to stay on top of the construction. There was a missed appt at the tile place. My husband and I waited for 45 minutes and finally left. There were so many delays and the lack of communication was so frustrating. So many times, if he had just called and explained the issue, we would have been OK with the delay. It seemed it was a running joke at the house if we were going to be contacted or if the workers would show up that day. A 6-8 week project turned into an over 4 month endeavor. We are still not sure if everything is functioning properly. The pool is beautiful. But, I am not sure if the frustration we experienced was worth the outcome. He is a talented pool contractor. I made an appointment for today, Februay 23, 2018 and Ron was a no show. I finally called forty minutes past the appointment time and said that my contact never showed up. It was Ron - he said that he was at the doctor and could he have my address again. This man did not even call to cancel our appointment or let me know he may be late - if the client is not important enough to call to cancel or re-schedule then I guess my pool project isn't either. No matter how good he may be, if he starts out by not showing for the initial appointment with no apologies, then his so called "Integrity" (I take that word direct from his ad) doesn't mean much. read more
