After sending the estimate to only 1 Board Member of the Association. They refused to send it to the other 2 for review. I received a return phone call from Melissa who said they are retracting the bid. I believe this is an inside SCAM. I will be filing a complaint with the State of Nevada Contractors Board as well. Update: Scotts reply is inaccurate: 1 Awesome Pool Solution retracted the bid when it was requested to be provided to all board members. They are clearing hiding details regarding that bid from the rest of the board. The solution is to send the bid to everyone. Apparently there is something "Shady". Avoid this company at all costs. 2nd Update: Again Scotts reply is inaccurate. The main reason his company was contacted was for deck repairs. Therefore the comment "to pull a permit for work completed by another party" is false. No deck repairs have been completed by any company. This back and forth is proof they have no integrity. I will get to the bottom of this "shady" behavior or perhaps the State Contractors Board will do the honors. Please dont waste your time with this company.

However, the company struggles with organization on medium-sized projects, particularly regarding supplier coordination and communication. Customer service with Melissa did not meet expectations, as I had to proactively follow up via text and web messaging to get answers. I was also disappointed when Scott, who was a key reason I chose this company, became defensive instead of understanding challenges and the sequence-of-events. I had to manage and seek when vendors were coming out and when they arrived in the wrong order and at the wrong time. The pool materials was left out and the pool was left without chemicals and filter running with fresh water for 1.5 weeks. While I recognize it wasn't their responsibility to add chemicals; it should have been communicated and at least in working condition but they didn't want to come out again after they refilled the pool until Pentair technician came out to avoid another trip. While they pointed to my schedule, I was only referring to the programming portion as I communicated, not the critical need to get the system running immediately after filling the pool. I understand everyone is busy, but I suggest Scott seeks to understand the client's perspective before responding in such a manner to get folks on the same page. A positive shout-out to Lee, who is a Pentair whiz and was super helpful.

Two Incorrect Material Deliveries, Grout Failure, and My NSCB Complaint…read moreI am posting this review after giving Trident Pool Plaster & Renovation considerable time to address my concerns and after completing the original complaint and supervisory-review process with the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB). My contract specifically called for Finest Fusion/Jewel Fusion 40% PR Glass for my pool finish. What occurred with those materials is the most concerning part of my experience with Trident. On two separate occasions, materials were delivered to my property that did not match what I had contracted and paid for. I identified the discrepancies before installation, challenged them, and refused to allow the work to proceed with those materials. This is not simply my characterization of what happened. I filed a complaint with the NSCB, and after its investigation and a subsequent review by the Compliance Supervisor, the supervisor confirmed to me in writing: "The submitted evidence does indicate that incorrect materials were initially delivered." The Board ultimately did not establish a violation because, according to the Compliance Supervisor, the incorrect-material issue was corrected and the contract-specified material was subsequently delivered and installed. I want to be completely transparent about that outcome. However, it does not resolve what concerned me enough to contact the Board in the first place. My concern was not simply that a supplier accidentally delivered the wrong product once. There were two separate material deliveries that I challenged before installation, and there was discussion of using other materials to create a field-mixed alternative rather than providing the factory-produced product specified in my contract. What I found particularly troubling was that Trident's owner, Scott Walker, continued to maintain that the initially delivered material was correct. That position is difficult for me to reconcile with the photographic evidence I submitted and, ultimately, with the NSCB Compliance Supervisor's written acknowledgment after reviewing the case that "incorrect materials were initially delivered." The contract-specified material was ultimately provided after I repeatedly challenged what had been delivered and refused to allow the non-conforming materials to be installed. From my perspective as the customer, this raised a serious concern about attempted product substitution. Had I not researched the product myself, inspected and photographed the material delivered to my property, and stopped the installation, I cannot know what ultimately would have been installed. Unfortunately, my problems did not end with the plaster-material dispute. I subsequently experienced deterioration and failure of the waterline tile grout. Trident performed a repair, but the grout has begun failing again. During this process, I contacted the manufacturer directly and obtained technical information concerning the materials and their proper use. I also submitted manufacturer documentation and laboratory findings to the NSCB addressing the grout/material and installation issues. The NSCB Compliance Supervisor has now explained to me that the Board considered the grout issue corrected because there was no active grout problem at the time of its jobsite meeting. Importantly, because the grout is now failing again, he specifically advised me that if there are current/ongoing grout issues, I should submit a new complaint and the Board will investigate that concern. Again, for complete fairness: the NSCB did not ultimately establish a violation in my original complaint. I disagree with aspects of the reasoning, particularly regarding the material issue, but prospective customers deserve to know both the Board's determination and the documented circumstances that led me to file the complaint. My biggest concern is what this experience means for an ordinary homeowner. A customer should not have to become knowledgeable about pool-finishing products, inspect product bags at the jobsite, photograph deliveries, research manufacturer specifications, contact manufacturers, and challenge a contractor simply to make sure the material being installed is the material specifically identified in the contract. In my case, I happened to recognize that something was wrong before the materials were installed. Another homeowner might not. That is one of the main reasons I pursued the matter with the Contractors Board and why I am posting this review. This is not only about my pool. I believe consumers should know about my experience so they can protect themselves and carefully verify that the products delivered to their property are the products they contracted and paid for. If you are considering Trident, based on my experience I strongly suggest that you: - Have every important material and manufacturer specifically identified in the written contract. - Verify the product labels and packaging before installation begins. - Photo

I'm talking rock slide, waterfalls, spa, heater... thinking back to the beginning it's really unbelievable what they were able to do. We are beyond happy with our pool now and it was finished just in time for triple digit weather. Communication was great throughout the whole process, we were not even living here when it was all happening but we were kept updated with videos, phone calls and texts. Leonard and his team were always responsive to my requests and questions. The recommendations given for colors, patterns, tile etc were great! I called atleast six different pool construction/remodel companies and if it wasn't one thing it was another. They did plaster, but not equipment. Or could do the pebble but not rock etc. When I talked to Leonard it was a one stop shop, super easy, he came out gave a quote and as with all big projects we went over budget but understandable given the issues with our pool. We had multiple leaks, the rock and slide were falling apart etc and now it looks brand new. Super happy! If your pool needs a makeover call Fix-A-Pool

Last July, we hired Refresh Pool to resurface our swimming pool. The finish was covered by a 7-…read moreyear warranty and was also treated with the Microglass Plaster Densification Systems, which was represented as extending the life of the surface to approximately 10-15 years. Less than one year after the work was completed, significant discoloration appeared on the pool steps. Given the short age of the re-surfacing, we contacted the company and requested that the issue be addressed under warranty. The company informed us that they believed the discoloration was caused by pool chemistry and therefore declined responsibility for the problem. The company also suggested that a chlorine floater had remained on the pool steps for an extended period of time and caused the discoloration. However our floater is too long to hover over the step. Because we questioned that explanation, we sought additional opinions. We consulted staff at Leslie's Pool Supply. They advised us that, based on the information we provided, normal pool chemicals would not typically be expected to cause this type of discoloration. We also observed our pool service technician perform water testing, and the results were reported to be within normal ranges. While we understand that opinions may differ, we were disappointed that the company dismissed the warranty claim and attributed the issue to pool chemistry despite the information we obtained from other sources. We hired this company because of its reputation, warranty, and promises regarding the durability of the finish. Unfortunately, our experience with the warranty process has been very disappointing. We paid them over $24000- in this pool resurface project, including the upgraded finish and additional treatment that was represented as extending the life of the surface. Given the size of the investment, we were very disappointed to see significant discoloration appear in less than one year. This review reflects our personal experience.
