Called morning of appointment to confirm and got the run-around from what appeared to be an answering service and left callback info. Recalled 50 minutes later and a different person answered. He didn't have a clue either and no knowledge of the prior call. Big RED FLAG on this one concerning customer focus and reliability. If this is how they handle their estimates, I'd had to see what happens when you expect them to show up and perform work in a timely/professional fashion. I would highly reccomend this company. They were amazing to work with and did a wonderful job! We needed to have our pool retiled, and David came out, did an assessment, and gave us a very reasonable quote shortly afterward. He answered all of our questions, gave us some good recommendations, and gave us a link to view some tiles online. Once we picked a few tiles we liked, he went and picked up samples and dropped them by our house. The day work was to start he showed up on time and worked all day by himself as his 2 crew members were a no-show! He got the job done in a few days, and we are thrilled with the outcome! I contacted Refresh Pool Tile, because the tile on my pool/spa needed some work. Troy (owner) took my initial call. I explained to him that the tile needed to be cleaned and the tile on the dam wall for the spa would probably need to be reset. However, I didn't want to replace the tile. Troy informed me that they could re-use the existing tile as long as they were not cracked. He scheduled for an estimator to come out the following week. The estimator arrived on time as promised and provided me with a very reasonable estimate to glass bead the tile and to reset the dam wall, reusing the existing tile. I didn't immediately have the work done, but called back approximately 6 months later hire these guys. To my surprise, Troy honored the estimate despite the time lapse, and we scheduled the job. Eric and his partner Luis came out to do the work. Eric explained the work in great detail and thoroughly answered all my questions. They got to work and knocked out the project in about 4 hours. At the conclusion of the job they cleaned up and left the worksite spotless. Throughout the project they were both extremely professional and personable. Refresh Pool Tile replaced some missing tiles and grouted them in place and replaced grout around the underside of the pool perimeter concrete nosing. David was the repair individual and another David was their PM for the project. They provided a very competitive bid and arrived at our home within the timeframe they stated when they submitted their bid. Called refresh pool for estimate to replace waterline tile. John came out and discussed the job and provided estimate. i pointed out some concerns i had with alkali on the outside of the pool. He said it was probably as a result of existing tile allowing water through. He went over the steps that they would be providing. 1 Drain pool, 2 Chisel off old tile, 3 grind the surfaces flat, 4 apply waterproof barrier to avoid any water leaching, 5 install new tile, 6 grout tile, 7 acid wash pool and fill. We agreed on price. i watched as work was progressing. the installers missed the waterproofing step. when i brought it to there attention they said it was not put in there work order. I didnt hear back from john until after completion. When he came to collect. he proceeded to tell me that the special thin set they use is the waterproofing. That he didn't explain it correctly and he was sorry about that. I kept pressing, saying that is not true. He said it didn't matter because he would email me the receipt and full warranty, They stand behind there work... Finally i just paid him so he would go away expecting i would receive the warranty. After multiple emails to him for my warranty, my email was blocked. Besides the waterproofing issue. The tile was not installed with straight lines. 5k for shotty job. I cannot stress how much I love Refresh Pool Tile and the service they provide!! Initially we had a "handyman" resurface our pool in 2021. All was well until we noticed the surface was slippery and a short time later began to peel really bad to the point we thought someone would get injured, which ended our summer early in 2022. We called for several estimates in the fall of that same year but postponed getting it done. At that time Refresh Pool was one of the estimates we received but my mom couldn't locate the paperwork we had written down the information. Fast forward to May of this year, I spoke with Sabrina who was extremely helpful and able to pull up our previous estimate. I then spoke with Troy(very nice) a day or so later who explained the price had gone up a little since the last estimate but nothing ridiculous. He was very detailed in explaining everything to me, even telling me I could text him with any questions, anytime. I did and he responded right away. Within days I had the contract and Eric(who my mother loves and treated her so nice)coming out to clean the tile of the pool. Time permitted for them to start the following week(when we were quoted that it could be later) and it was completed by the end of the week with David(another nice person who also treated my mom with such kindness and respect) coming out to look everything over and give instructions. This company goes above and beyond with their customer service, which I feel has been lacking in companies these days. I work in customer service and recognize great service when it is given. Eric and David came out this morning April 22, 2022 and removed the calcium deposits on the tile and some minor repairs to the rocks where the grout had fallen out. The tiles look new again.
