I will never EVER come back here. I usually do not take time to write a negative review but this place completely butchered multiple expensive pieces of clothing of mine with absolutely no resolve. I've been coming here for 6+ years as a Hoboken local and always had exceptional service, and even when not, there was no question and they made sure to resolve it. I went back in November thinking it was the same ownership that it always was, but it seems that it is not anymore. The new owner (I am assuming) was not only rude and dismissive to what I was asking for from the beginning, but very threatening when I was simply trying to ask for them to fix my pieces. Even after paying for one of the items to be redone (hemmed jeans), they were still horribly done/Frankensteined together - I can't even explain it lol. I just went to look at one of the linen shorts I got hemmed and they are not even evenly cut??...they are also not hemmed and noticeably just used a "stem a seam". Absolutely ridiculous - this is one review I just couldn't let go and warn people DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Had my dress and pants altered here. The new manager is also the new tailor and does all alterations right on the spot if it's quick--hems, sewing, buttons, anything. Always leave happy! :)) read more

Place used to be great with the old ownership. Last lady who ran the day to day operations was on point, efficient and nice. Used to be able to get laundry back the next day and sometimes even the same day New person who runs the day to day is not good. Pretty standoffish/rude and if i drop laundry off on tuesday she says she'll have it on Friday. Also I never receive texts that my laundry is ready like I did in the old system. Asked about this and got no explanation. Will likely be headed to a new laundromat unfortunately. read more

I bought new suits and dresses for my family to wear during this vacation. I had them altered and dry cleaned here. A miracle happened. (The waist and tapering of the pants were perfect, better than any alteration in Manhattan. More importantly, the zipper on my wife's dress wouldn't close in the back because the dress was too small for her body. They removed the zipper and replaced it with a new design of cross-style straps.) Where else would they do alterations? I was very satisfied with the cost and craftsmanship of the alterations here. Buyer beware! The prices are not posted and Staci charges a different price every time and gives attitude if you ask for clarification. Make sure you get there 10 minutes before the posted closing time as most times she's closed. I gave it 1 star because of the convenience of the proximity to where I live. Stay away!!! read more

Sadly, they lost my business. I was using this business exclusively for over a year, dry cleaning and occasional alterations. To make a long story short, they shrunk a fairly new sweater that I liked quite a bit. I provided the receipt with the date and the cost. After a little going back and forth, I was dissatisfied with the 'my boss says there is nothing he can do" and only offering the refund of the dry cleaning fee. Call me old fashioned, but I expect better customer service having been a loyal customer. read more

I live around the corner from this place and they said they would be able to have my suit dry cleaned within 48 hours so I figured I'd give them a try. When I went to pick the suit up I was told it was not ready, but I could come back the next morning before work to get it. When I came the next morning, it was still not there, and since I had a wedding to go to I had to run out and buy a new suit. I'm never using this place again! read more

Don't know why this place has such low reviews. Tsunami is always very helpful whenever I go in there. He always accommodates my sometimes hectic schedule for how soon I need my dry cleaning done, he has removed more stains than I can even count, and if you have a dog he will even give them a treat while you wait! I've never shown up to pick up my dry cleaning when it was supposed to be done and NOT had it available. They are also very realistic with you on what they can and can't fix, no surprises! read more

Courtyard Cleaners was a great establishment before they came under new ownership at the end of April, 2010. They had good prices, and I never had any problems with them for the three years I used them, unlike the other Yelp reviewers. However, I have decided to take my business elsewhere since new ownership took over in April, 2010. Instead of adding value, or merely keeping the status quo, the new ownership decided to subtract value. While they have added a tailor to their premises, they have also limited their hours and have raised prices. Courtyard used to be open until 8pm weekdays, and until 3pm on Sundays, but no more. Now they are only open until 7pm on weekdays and no Sundays. I am unsure why they raised their prices in this economy, but I suppose they have to pay for their unnecessary remodel somehow! read more

I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews. They are very reasonably priced and I have never had any issues. Tsunami is always really friendly and always tries to accommodate requests. I have brought in multiple items for same day delivery and was able to pick them up within a few hours for no extra cost. I had tried other dry cleaners while they were under repairs due to the hurricane but now that they have re-opened I will not be going elsewhere. read more

Surprised to see a lot of bad reviews of this place. I've been here a handful of times and I've taken silk dresses / shirts here and so far I haven't had any issues. Most of these reviews are old so maybe the place has changed owners... The people who work here are always friendly and on time. read more

Horrible! I took my dry clean only special order curtains here and they ruined them beyond repair. My curtains were 95 inches and when i got them back the first time they were 86! Of course they were also not ready when promised (the first time) I returned them and complained about how they have ruined my new curtains. The manager said she would send them back and have them "pressed" I was told to come back in a few days and they would be back and fixed. When i returned the curtains were not ready. This process went on for about 3 weeks until finally i had enough and i was told i would be reimbursed for the damaged curtains. The manager has not tact and told me that i purchased cheap curtains and dragged out the process and it took me another week to see a check for the curtains. I was not even reimbursed for the $36 to have the damaged curtains "cleaned" Bottom line, this is a HORRIBLE establishment and I wouldn't trust them with your clothes! read more

Best cleaners in Hoboken. They will send you a text when your clothes are ready and they're almost always ready sooner than you expect. Tsunami and staff are very friendly and accommodating when you need your clothes done quickly. The alterations are great too. I moved out of the apartment building it's located in but still go back because the places around me don't compare. read more

I called Courtyard Cleaners and asked if I brought a suit in, would it be ready the next day. They assured me it would be, so I walked over there to drop off the suit. The next day, however, when I came in to pick up my suit, they told me it was not ready, and I'd have to come back the next day. I went the third day, and they said it was still not ready. As three days had now gone by, and I had a wedding to go to, I was forced to buy a new suit. Avoid this place! They take over 72 hours to dry clean a suit, even if they quote you 24 hours. read more
