Service was really slow. I called in my order 20 mins prior to me arriving and waited for 15 mins. to get my order. The place was not crowded. After asking where's my order, one lady went up to the kitchen and opened a styrofoam container. It was my order that had been sitting there. Burger looks good. I'll let you know how it tastes. They almost exclusively have a bunch of southern comfort food options, so you know exactly what you're getting into. Good service and good food. I got the chicken fried steak with mac and cheese and french fries. I enjoyed it and I really liked the mac and cheese. I don't have a ton to say. Four stars. read more

Kat was our waitress and this was our first visit. Service was outatanding-which is the highest rating I can give to Kat. Wife had some combination where she got soup and a 1/2 sandwich. She claimed the soup (potato) was fantastic and the sandwich was really good too. Me, had the BLT. Haven't had one in years. As always I'm excited to try any new restaurant's that pop-up in our area, and this was no exception. If you sign up for their email club you get a coupon for a free appetizer. We chose the chicken fried bacon. It was long pieces of crispy bacon dipped in chicken fried steak batter & deep fried. It comes with a side of gravy and a side of ranch. It was quite tasty. Next time we will have to try it with the maple glaze on top. Before our meal they brought us each a piping hot soft roll the size of a mini loaf with butter. For my meal I chose the chicken and dumplings with a side of macaroni and cheese and a side of broccoli rice casserole. The chicken and dumplings were good but I wish it was a little bit thicker. It did have dumplings strips which I prefer much better than the drop dumplings and it had chunks of chicken which I shredded into the bowl instead of eating it chunky. The broccoli & rice casserole was very good and the macaroni and cheese was average. My son ordered the chicken fried steak with french fries and cinnamon apples. The chicken fried steak was huge and had a nice thin, crispy coating. It was topped with thick, white gravy. The french fries came hot and the cinnamon apples were warm & tasty. We topped all this off with a slice of butter cake, Yum! Certainly not a healthy option, but it was worth the calories and will be back again. read more

First time here. Mostly comfort food with free rolls to start. The rolls were pillowy soft. I had the fried catfish and my wife had the vegetable plate. Catfish was fine but the tartar sauce was watery. Hush puppies were good and had a little jalapeño heat that creeps up on you. Vegetables were good. The broccoli and squash casserole were standouts. Me and my husband was passing through from Tennessee and saw this place and decided to try it out. We loved it! We had mac n cheese bites and they were awesome. Was told they were short on servers that was the reason. Also they had posted a sign for a 5% surcharge due to the economy and shortage of workers. Will not be going back. Been here lots of times and the food is very good however the skillet cornbread was brought to our table and when we cut into it , it was not done so we sent it back and I continued eating my chicken and dumplings,which are excellent, but I was finished when she brought out the cornbread so I brought it home.Tonight at dinner I heated it up and it was gooey and just plain cornbread, no jalapenos in it.
