I mean it's Waffle House. It's one of the newer cleaner waffle houses. So you really can't complain. They get a bad rep for always being the space for fights lol so much that I saw there is a petition to have a Waffle House location entered into TEKKEN as a stage lmbo. I loved this location so much i would drive past the 1960 location just to come here for the best waffles and never had an issue with service. Today my little 3 yr old and i sat for about 25+ mins at a table without being acknowledged. We saw about 3 pairs of customers come in and leave due to the empty seats still not being cleaned while they waited over 5 mins to be acknowledged. I understand it gets busy at 11am on a Saturday but 25+ mins with a lil one that keeps saying "im hungry" and we get glances from the employees but still no one even asked for our drinks is ridiculous.... I hope to come back and this was one of those "bad days" that wouldnt happen again. Me and my friends went here at around 9:30pm on a Saturday and it was a great experience. The restaurant was clean, the staff was really nice, and the food was delicious. I have no complaints. I got the texas sausage, egg, and cheese melt, and my friends got the all star breakfast and the cheesesteak melt hash brown bowl. All of the food was delicious and so cheap! I was really impressed with Waffle House for the food and the price. The waitstaff at this Waffle House was amazing. It was a little busy, but the waiter still made sure we had a great experience and was kind + talkative. The manager checked on us as well. The actual restaurant was well lit and really clean. I placed a to go order and everything was missing and what wasn't missing was incorrect. I then went to talk to the manager she was the worst person I have ever interacted with.not once was there an apology for the extreme inconvenience or the mistake. There was literally not accountability. She repeated herself over and over with the same two options. Still no apology. I can forgive the mistake in the food(which was huge) but not her god awful attitude. Just drive 10 mins and go to the location on Kuykendahl and save yourself the awful treatment. Mind you I have never left a poor review anywhere. I don't think it's worth the time but that's how bad this experience was. read more

Your mileage will vary here. We've been here many times and it's never consistent. Service wise - I've been here where things are lighting fast. I've also been here when the cook is sitting in the corner eating where cooking is not a priority. Quality - I've been here when the food is really good and hot - made correctly. I've also been here when it comes out incredibly slow and not hot. Ordering- sometimes I'm told I can no longer order certain menu items, other times I'm offered those items as options. I think managerial wise - this place needs work. If I had to take a survey that asked would you recommend this place to others - I would lean to not. On the plus side, this Waffle House is at least better than other Waffle House locations, but there are better options close by. Going to take a break from this place. read more

Generally when dining in the south it is my expectation for the service to be warm , friendly and inviting. This Waffle House in general was NONE of that!!!! Let me tell you what the Positives were before I lament on the detractors of this spot. Our server (David) was the bright spot of our visit. Today was his 1st day after a breif training and in our opinion he was doing an excellent job despite the lack of respect he was afforded from his co-workers 7.1.2021. Came back for lunch. Arrived before 11 am. Place is still packed like the first time. My server Meagan is very sweet and attentive. Got my order in quickly and processed well. Ordered Texas bacon egg and cheese Melt with hash brown scattered well with American cheese on top. Food tastes very well. The cooks are well trained. Got my food in less than 10 minutes. the sandwich is still steaming when it hits my table. Love it! My waitress checked on me occasionally to make sure I'm taken care of. Brand new, and very busy. As the newest 24hr offering in the area, they get packed very quickly. Add to that three fact that the seating capacity is very limited (it's not very big on the inside), and you just might have a wait on a Friday night after the high school game is over. But the staff is wonderful - friendly and efficient- so that when you do get a table, you'll have a wonderful experience. My husband had steak and eggs, and the steak was great. So delicious! I love that the food is cooked to order and comes to you fresh and hot. I don't mind waiting longer for it because of this. I did mind waiting forever for my coffee as I like to sip some before my meal arrives. Had to ask a different server for it to be brought to me. The pecan waffle and the hashbrowns are the best thing here! Oh and the coffee! Don't underestimate Waffle House! I have enjoyed expensive meals in fancy restaurants less. The waffle is large enough to have leftovers and the prices can't be beat. If it wasn't so caloric I would eat here way more often. Can't wait for the to open up that's even closer to my house! My only other complaint was a chunk of waffle batter that was on the side of my coffee mug. I'm sure it fell on there post washing and it wasn't anywhere near where my mouth was going to be so I let it go. All staff was super friendly and sweet. Always honest about my reviews and this one was just fantastic! My son was craving a waffle and so we were both off for the day so we went to have a late breakfast. The food was fine but the staff was amazing. They were helpful with each other and were so nice and friendly. I overheard two employees discussing how one had to finish a task before they could go home but they needed to leave, everyone jumped in to help her "get out of there". Team work i witnessed was flawless. I think I saw that Tyler was the supervisor but I also witnessed Cress (fantastic and was assigning other employees to ensure everyone was being taken care of. Bunch of people waiting and a bunch of employees behind the counter couldn't care to clear off the empty tables for 15 mins even though they knew people were waiting. I go to waffle houses very often because you can't beat their scrambled eggs with cheese! BUT DAYUMMMM this place is killing it. They were constantly flipping tables the food was hot and great!!!! I'll admit I'm not a big fan of Waffle House since my first and only visit to another location. However, I decided to stop by and give this location a try. When I first walked in the staff was quick to acknowledge me and greet me to the extent it places a smile on your face. I was told to seat where ever I pleased. Our waiter Malick was great and quick to grab our drinks and orders in. Our food didn't take long to come out, taste was also great. Way better than my last visit to another location.
