Chicken and dumplings are delicious! I like that I can go somewhere local and get a variety of good vegetables, which in this little area is hard to find. The fried bacon as an appetizer is a must here. I find it best dipped in the warm gravy and my wife prefers the ranch. The steaks are well seasoned and so far have been cooked to requested temp. Fish and shrimp are tasty and their fries pair nicely. My wife loves their chocolate cake and all the other deserts. I've been to this Cotton Patch many times. I often go to work and may be there 3 or 4 hours. The service is always amazing and the food is always top notch. I literally have never had a bad experience there. But on Aug 8th I went there to do some work. I kinda pressed the issue with the host to let me sit in my favorite spot. (corner booth with an outlet) They were hesitant at first because the server already had a large group (12 or so) and had another waiting (again 12 or so) plus 5 or 6 other tables. Even under the stress of two large back-to-back groups plus other tables my server did an absolutely amazing job. I was there for a few hours and never needed a single thing that she had not already anticipated. (I'm not kidding about this...at least twice I literally sat my drink down only to look up and she was setting a new one on the table.) At the height of it I was one of probably 20 customers she had and yet I felt like her only table. She was very cheerful and always had a smile even when literally being pulled from person to person and table to table with customer demands and questions. I was there for maybe 3 hours working so once the rush died down I was able to talk to her a bit. And she is a senior in High School AND new to the area. Impressive work ethic and exceptional attitude. All that to say Cotton Patch Cafe you need to treat her very well because she represents you very, very well. Her name was Hailee W. Placed an online order for pick up at 2:00 and said it would be ready around 2:36. I went to pick it up close to 2:40 and they had not even started my order. Waited another 20 minutes and it still wasn't done. All I ordered was a grilled chicken meal and a kids grilled cheese. I don't understand how that would take over an hour to make. Some of the employees handling the food weren't even wearing mask or gloves. When I asked for a refund she told me she had to reach out to corporate office to complete the refund and that she couldn't handle it at the store. From the time we walked into the door till the time we left the service was great. Our waitress Gharneqa, was awesome. The manager went to every table while we were there asking if everybody's meals were okay I thought that was superb. Did I mention our waitress? Gharneqa. She was very friendly and considerate. Every single person was wearing gloves which is fine but the all touched all over their faces and never once changed gloves. The food was very good. The service was not that great. It took approximately 15 minutes or thereabouts just to get someone to take the drink order. I would understand if the place was packed, but there were only customers at approximately 3 tables. After we received the drinks we placed our order and it came out wrong. So it's 7:49 and we're walking out with our food in boxes. We've been sitting in the non- crowded restaurant since a little after 6pm. I can't even tell you if the food is worth the hour and a half wait or not, because by the time I get it home to eat its going to be cold. The server was sweet and apologetic. The food was delicious and quick. Service was friendly and parking was sufficient (Just watch out for a rush because they can get busy). First time we went in they said 20 min wait. 45 mins later we were still not seated. We tried two nights later with door dash. Half our order came in and the other half was half way done and messy. This was my first time to eat at Cotton Patch, as I walked in I was greeted and sat down quickly. As I looked at the menu I noticed most meals consist of deep fried items so if you are staying away from carbs there is nothing for you here :-) I was craving fried catfish but the photo on the menu showed two very small pieces on a bed of fries for $12 (not a good value) I decided to try the Rib eye steak that was on special for $15.99 and when it came out I was very disappointed. The cut was approximately 3/8" thick which as you can guess was overcooked and no taste. This also came with a very small baked potato and I ordered the Squash which was inedible due to some sort of fibrous material in it that did not resemble squash. Yes I realize this was my first try but I think after observing the other food items that the quality of food could be compared to dining in a school cafeteria but paying premium prices. Just moved to the area and drive past this place a few time and decided to bring my family here. Service was good and friendly. This place style of food reminds me of Black Eyed Pea. I got the chicken fried steak and was happy with my choice, my dad got the chicken fried chicken, which he enjoy but he did receive the incorrect side order. My partner got the grilled chicken and shrimp which was good. The bread and butter before the meal were pretty standard but nice to get the meal started and even better...free! The baked squash was decent but I'd probably try another side next time. The cups are either too small or the service needs to be a little faster on the refills. There were 2 times that the majority of our table needed refills and waited for a while to get it. Overall a pretty great meal with a little room for improvement with the service. (Although the servers were pleasant....just not really on top of things.) Had the chicken fried steak with white cream gravy onion rings and fried okra everything was perfectly crisp the okra was a very small portion what was made up by the wonderfully sized portion of onion rings which were some of the best tasting onion rings reminded me of the old school onion rings are used to get at princes hamburger when I was little hope I can find enough words to say how wonderful the chicken fried steak was perfect tasting cream gravy really complemented the chicken fried steak the crispy covering on the meat and it made the gravy cling to it even more perfection For dessert my friends and I shared the Dr Pepper brownie sweet chocolate my only complaint was the air-conditioning was way too cold even after telling the waiter they still did not bring down the thermostat it was freezing and I saw most people had brought a jacket with them to come into the restaurant read more

Ordered CFS, mashed potatoes, gravy. Steak was good. Batter was SALTY! That's ok, if you can dip it in the mashed potatoes and gravy to counteract the saltiness. Gravy was SALTY. And the potatoes were DRY. Service was just "ok". Seemed to take a good while to get our food, and tables seated and ordered after us got their food first. read more
