One of our favorite spots for lunch when we're on the west side, I even gave my staff gift cards to Cotoletta for Christmas and we had an office manager's lunch here as well. The portions are incredibly huge, and the sandwiches are creative and always flavorful. Their fries are also really good, so this is definitely a "cheat day" type of place. Only gripe is that it's sort of a self service lunch counter type place so there isn't true table service and you're sort of left to your own devices once you order your food, but we have never had an issue with service at all so it seems to be working! read more

First time trying Cotoletta last night and had a good experience! The restaurant is tucked into the back of Elmridge plaza! We walked through the door, and you order and pay at the register before sitting. I don't mind this set up, butttt the register does ask you to tip. My husband wasn't sure how service would be, so he did 15%. A waitress did bring our drinks and food out to the patio! The patio was AWESOME! Nice and shady, umbrellas, light music playing. Great ambience and location! The wait was short, and definitely worth it! The food - amazing! Comically large plate of Italian Mac & Cheese made its way to me, and it was so good! Cheesy, crispy bread crumbs, cavatappi! Perfecto! My husband had the PLT sandwich, which was also huge, and so yummy! The pesto spread on the Prosciutto was amazing, fresh. Bread was crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. My pre-schooler rounded out our meals with an order of garlic fries, which were crispy and loaded with garlic and cheese. Loved it! I think the concept works but execution falls short - space: very linear, boxy, noisy - put some curves and absorption in. service: only two people beyond the kitchen are visible that do half of their work with their back turned to customers and have to figure out who needs what - they really did their best and seemed to care, were efficient - but a third person or some other change would be better. A lot of "do they know I'm standing here..."? food: felt it was too spiced up and rich - as if the underlying ingredients must not really have any flavor. For that reason alone, I'd make another choice next time I'm in town. portions/value: huge - great value - I think you could reduce portion sizes by 20% easy and put that savings into the above location: convenient and they make an effort to try and remove the plaza experience but it's still has little warmth. read more

Coletta's has a really unique setup that can feel a little unconventional at first, but the waitress bartender was very kind and took the time to explain how everything works, which made the experience much smoother. The Caprese sandwich was so yummy, super fresh and flavorful and definitely a standout. The arancini wasn't terrible, but parts of it were pretty cold in the middle, which was a little off putting. I opted to do the pick 2: 1/2 Caesar salad 1/2 Alphonse sandwich which consisted of cutlet, sliced meatballs, mozzarella and marinara. Portions are HUGE. Like comically big... Not complaining, but I think they can definitely cut down their lunch portions and still charge the same price. So for the amount of food you get, it's a great deal. Even with half-portions, I couldn't finish (which is not often). Taste-wise, everything was good but not exceptional. The sandwich bread was a bit hard and chewy. Better bread would have made a big difference. The Caesar salad was also pretty average. The parmesan fries were nice and crispy. Service-wise everyone was attentive and friendly. May have helped that I sat at the bar. Overall a good experience, I just wasn't blown away by the food itself. I would return to try their pizza and other menu items. read more

The food is very good every time we go to Cotoletta. Today, the food tasted just as good only cold. The service was not as good as usual. My sandwich came out first, follwed by me asking for the drink I ordered. My drink was then brought a few minutes later. Then my sisters water after that. A few minutes later came my sisters soup, salad and sandwich. A few minutes later I called the waitress over to ask about the fried mozzarella we ordered. A couple min later came that. The soup was warm, not hot and the fried motz was def sitting awhile. Never asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks.
