I know this shop recently opened and I wanted to try it out. I like many like fresh pasta and it's something (unfortunately) I don't make on the regular. As my girl Karen S. (And yes I know her personally) it's in a strip mall where Hawn is an a few other little stores) Also plenty of parking this for me dear reader is a plus. You know how I feel about parking if I can't find a place to park I'll try another time. Ok.. onward..ever onward.. The inside is tidy and painted a light shade of Gray.. most of the sauces, butters, fresh and frozen pastas are in refrigerators and a few things are in a small glass case by the checkout. Also they carry some Olive Oils and bakery treats and bread (we will get to that later) From what I understand this is owned by the people who own Merchants Wood Fired.. just an FYI A few things.. if you are vegan or vegetarian I would call in.. from what I can ascertain most of the pasta has eggs in it and some of the sauces have some form of dairy. So.. call in and ask.. From what I can tell is they make everything in-house or in the back. When I came in they were restocking sauce and etc. Do yourself a favor and check the dates on your pasta and sauce.. they all have dates on them.. fresh pasta should be eaten as soon as possible so... Now the bread that was by the counter although good stuff and from Baker Street Bakery needed to be moved out for croutons or make into Pappa al Pomodoro which would be awesome. Thing is I should have called in for the bread.. I have seen that they get Baker Street and Amazing Grains (this time no) also I'm assuming the bread here sitting was from last week.. I went on Tuesday and they are only open Tuesday - Saturday 12-6 so it was sitting for a few days. It may seem minor but when you want to get everything in one shot.. alas.. I'll call in next time..but the bread was a little hard so I passed on that. I picked up a small container of Bolognese, Fresh Tagliatelle and some frozen Spinach ravioli that's stuffed with cheese, artichoke and red pepper. No bakery treats they did look tempting and I looked at the Rustic Italian Bread but y'a know I did not purchase any. Ok.. the Ravioli is in the Freezer (remember check the dates) I made the Fresh Tagliatelle and the Bolognese for dinner... The pasta was toothsome and dressed with the bolognese it was tasty and had umami. Than I read the ingredients I was kind of baffled.. cause I've never seen some of these things in a Bolognese but to each their own. Know this it was tasty and I should have gotten a larger one and stored it in the freezer. They also have regular red sauce, Romesco, and Alfredo, Bolognese and flavored butters the one that they had available was Mushroom. Also a few other different fresh pastas and frozen ravioli. I hope they expand on the fresh pasta. Would I go back for sure and call in to see if they have anything on special or new. They are also on Facebook. Parking a plenty it's a nice addition to the area. Give them a shot I'll be back.

Our Server, Jim informed us of the specials of the day which ranged from a few different appetizers to several meat/seafood entrees. We opted in for the crab cake and the special salad w. fruit. The crab cake was packed with lump crab meat which contained little to no fillers. It was accompanied with two different sauces, both working beautifully with the crab cake. A stunning appetizer. As for the salad, it contained apples, pear, strawberries, walnuts, feta and an apple cider vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious and blew my mind how a salad can be so flavorful and beautifully presented. For mains, the girlfriend opted in for my personal favorite, the Agnello Scottadita (rack of lamb). This was cooked to a perfect requested medium-rare. Flavorful but didn't overpower the natural taste of the lamb, and incredible tender. As for myself, I opted in for one of the seafood specials, the swordfish. This was grilled perfectly, retained its moisture making it also incredibly tender and was finished with a butter scallion sauce. Both entrees were excellent. We both finished off with a ricotta & pistachio cake, which had pistachio cream separated by sponge cake and their coppa 3 chocolates which are layers of dark, milk and white chocolate cream. The cake was very light and airy, no overly sweet and was a delight. The coppa 3 chocolates was more dense, again not overly sweet and a great way to end our meal. Ristorante Lucano for many years has given me the best meals alongside with a beautiful and cozy atmosphere with the utmost hospitality. A 10/10

He said it was, "Well worth the wait." We also split the orange fennel salad during our meal (the traditional Italian way). For dessert, we split a 3 coupe chocolate. A perfect romantic evening. I also loved the Bills themed outfits for the upcoming game. Joe our server was very prompt and friendly. Will definitely be coming back again soon for another special occasion. *We were too busy enjoying ourselves for any pictures! Sorry.*

This is *the* place for Italian specialty goods!…read more The bf and I finally used up a bulk size bottle of olive oil and committed to buying a nice Italian EVOO from Lucano. For $20, we landed on Coluccio from Sicily (1L) that the owner also uses in the cooking at their restaurant next door. She recommended it so we trusted her insight. Definitely good bang for your buck. We also picked up some dried porcini mushrooms ($5) and burrata (buffalo mozzarella & stracciatella - $12). The owner was a gem. Joann gave us cooking tips on the proper preparation for a cream sauce using the mushrooms. The items in the store are all from smaller artisanal Italian farms. I found most of the prices to be relatively reasonable considering they're all imported from Italy. They offer a variety of things that would be perfect for making a gift basket like pasta, canned tomatoes (San Marzano - the best!), spreads, and adorable serving platters. You'll find frozen clams for your next pasta dish or fresh deli meats and delicious buffalo mozzarella (the most delicious cheese in the world) for a homemade charcuterie plate. We're going to be regulars, for sure.

Portion is huge. Meatballs appetize is like baseball size. I usually can finish appetizer and a main course by myself but I can't this time. Chicken Parmesan can feed a small Italian village. The parking was good-the lot was scraped well and easy to navigate, an added bonus for someone not used to traveling in snowy conditions. My party of 4 arrived and was immediately sat. The hostess checked out coats (great provision). Our waiter was really knowledgeable and friendly-the perfect balance of checking in without us feeling awkward. We ordered and our food arrived quickly. The chicken parm was great-well seasoned and I loved the basil sauce on top. There was pasta included which I could have easily done without-the chicken was the star of the meal. The space is great for intimate dinners as well as large groups. The atmosphere is very balanced in that way. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

There's not a lobby area so folks are funneled to the bar so there were others waiting there as well and it felt a bit like that was the idea to get people to start a tab there first. When we were seated it was at a table for 6 whilst we were 3 and right by the kitchen which didn't feel worth the wait or the trouble of making a reservation in advance. The bread basket was tasteless, cold and just had little butter cubes. The bottle of wine my husband chose they didn't have so we had to choose an alternate and the waiter needed to be reminded about our son's diet coke when he only brought the wine out and didn't come back with the soda. The wine glasses were never refilled. Meals were fine and good size portions.
