Greetings! We went to Strombolis for lunch and decided to go all out and order a lot. We started with the Jalapeño Poppers and they were good. However, they separated a lot when we took a bite, and would've loved more cheese coming out. Salad was simple and we got ranch and caesar as the dressings and the ranch wasn't very good. However, the bread was very delicious, a classic white bread with delicious butter. The eggplant parm was yummy with generous amount of spaghetti with meat sauce! I wish it was a bit more crispy with thicker cheese layered on top. Stromboli is everything you'd imagine it be. Cheesy goodness. If you like Strombolis, this won't disappoint you. *Unique experience only to Stromboli's - Chicken Parm on a "wedge" which is close to a soft pizza crust. Definitely worth trying!

Deliciously unique and fun experience on my "Pizza Tour"! I suggest calling and asking what the specialty of the day is! This is a fun and creative establishment that will have many off menu items if you ask for a suggestion! I asked for a recommendation and received a chicken parm "on a wedge", which is like a wrap made from pizza dough. Delicious! I was welcomed into a casual relaxing pizzeria atmosphere where you can order by the slice, I was told they add the ingredients to a plain slice and then heat it up again. That makes for a very fresh slice which I love. Note: the "display slices" resemble to NYC style and ordering a pie out will be more upstate NY style. I did not get a pic of the slice, which I will have to go back for and update my posting. Recommended to come here for a casual and tasty experience and to talk with the owner about all things pizza! Thank you to my friends there!

    Chicken, Bacon, Pepperoni stromboli (leftovers)

I got takeout here and it was pretty darn good! The minis are quite large which I was happy about. We got chicken, pepperoni, and bacon bolis, and one of the chick'n broccoli vegan ones. They were all great. Only note was that the broccoli wasn't seasoned well so could have been a bit more flavorful. Additionally, I'll skip the cinnamon sticks next time as they weren't very good. Still, we will definitely be returning for more bolis

I've been here twice. First time I got the California chicken cheese sandwich and today I got a Chicken fajita 'boli. Both times were excellent! The Stromboli in particular was delicious. I asked the employee for a suggestion. He suggested the chicken fajita one. Spot on! This was filling. Had to bring some home. I wholeheartedly suggest this place. Worth the trip downtown for this. It's unique and the options are limitless! Can't wait to return!

My first time at Stromboli's and it went like this...First off it was a very nice room, airy and welcoming with outdoor seating as well...Parking is, well it's the city and everyone knows parking is where you can find it...Next the pizza...I only ordered one slice of cheese pizza...I was asked if I wanted it heated up and as I always say "if it sucks cold it sucked hot", I love cold pizza...Anyway...It was a HUGE slice of heaven...Reminded me of a great NYC pizza slice and that's a good thing...The crust was thin, chewy and yummy...The sauce was perfect, not too sweet and not too salty, naturally delicious in every way...I will be back soon...Give them a try there located at 130 East Ave, Rochester, NY...

Great ambience and service. Love the jazz themed decor. Good food with plenty of vegan options that are clearly labeled.

I'm a big fan of a stromboli. Not many places locally make them, and quite a few pizza joints claim to have stombolis on their menu, but it's actually a calzone. I'm not sure why people don't understand the difference. Ordered a pepperoni and mozzarella stromboli. This place had a lot of options, but I kept it simple and classic. The order was ready on time. Good start. The 'boli itself was pretty dang good. I'm of the opinion that a stromboli should have a very solid and crunchy outside, which this didn't. It's whatever. At an $8 price tag, this spot did a good job.

Oh my gosh. From the pictures on Google maps, it seemed like they weren't that great. But the food here is amazing. Althought my first impression was that they wouldn't be that great for a small establishment, I was pleasantly blown away! Their ambience is unique, the musician was just packing up as we were coming in, they have an interesting jazz theme going on, so I think they have live music often. They have a bar, comfy couch seating, as well as tables and chairs. It's a pretty relaxed environment. I was surprised to see a vegan menu at the front of their counter. The staff was really friendly, and I'm not sure if the sign outside their store front is accurate, but it seemed like a really chill place to hang put, eat good food, and listen to live music. They are pretty affordable and the quality and presentation of their food is amazing. I ordered the vegan grilled cheese, the cashier me that the cheese is created by a local vegan cheese maker. My friends ordered a stromboli and pasta. The grilled cheese was really flavorful and melty. The cheese wasn't stringy like normal cheese, and it was kind of messy to eat, but really good! My friend said it was the best stromboli he's ever had, and the pasta was good. We went here for dinner, but the day after my friends also went here for lunch because the food was just so good, and affordable. I would also totally go again if I'm in the area. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Vegan chick'n fajita pizza on gluten free crust, 10-inch or so
    Austin R.

This is a great cafe near Eastman School of Music, featuring a solid vegan menu - I had the vegan chick'n fajita pizza on gluten free crust and it was really good and creative. They have some bottled beers and other drinks too, and some beers on tap. It's got a good vibe and I recommend it as a solid food stop in the area, particularly on weekend mornings when not much else is open downtown. Some nice couches and a pleasing ambience, and good service too. The vegan menu is pretty well thought-out.

    "Small" Stromboli
    Arvid Y.

I just picked up a "small" stromboli for lunch. $13 gets you a monstrous foot-long "small" stromboli. Only in America, is something this humongous considered small. I can't even imagine the bigger sizes, but apparently they do have a "mini" version that is intended for one person that is 3" x 9" for $8. I'm definitely not a stromboli connoisseur, but I've had my fair share of late night (and post-alcohol) stromboli. This was a solid stromboli. It was flavorful without being too salty and also quite generous with the meat filling. The breading was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the stromboli. It's no frills, but it checks all the boxes and will satisfy any late night (or daytime) craving. The portions are huge and prices are fair. Just be sure to order the right size, since the "small" can easily feed two, or serve as 2 meals.

The food was pretty good but for the price of the subs I wish they were a little bit bigger. The ciabatta bread was soft and fresh; but it wasn't big enough for the meat portion and you were left with a lot of saucy bread at the end. For the price I wish they gave you an additional cutlet on the sandwich. I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. I like me some good Detroit-style pizza and when I found out about this restaurant and their pizza by the slice offerings, I had to check it out. Located in a shopping center, this casual pizzeria is mostly a take-out joint but there is a small dine-in area. They serve pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. They also sell pizza and pasta sauces as well as house-made pasta to be cooked at home. I was interested in having their pizza by the slice, so that's what I ordered on my visit. I got one slice of their Meatball Parmesan with red sauce and one slice of Greek Chicken with basil pesto base. After ordering the food, I noticed a sign for lunch special that included a slice of pizza, a beverage of your choice, and a cookie which was good until 3 PM. I inquired about it (it was about 10 mins. after 3 PM) and the owner/ manager gentleman honored that deal for me. That was great of him. I really appreciated that. I forgot the gentleman's name, but it was good to chat with him about his pizza shop. The pizza was fresh and delicious. I was in pizza heaven with each bite of these pizza, especially while enjoying the Meatball Parmesan pizza. That was da bomb. The Greek Chicken was good too but I preferred the Meatball one better. I had some leftover of the Greek Chicken which I had later on with some pizza sauce later and it tasted great. I really liked The Pizza Shoppe a lot. I highly recommend checking it out. They are very good and I look forward to going back there sometime again.

Our server was very attentive and offered great seasonal recommendations. *Squash Salad: a seasonal dish that perfectly captured the feeling of autumn, served in a hot cast iron skillet. The blistered tomatoes paired well with the balsamic glaze, adding sweetness and juiciness to each bite. *La Pina Loca: perfect mix of salty, sweet, and spicy. The pork was rendered beautifully, creating a savory oil that blended well with the pineapple. The jalapenos added mild heat, and the hot honey was subtle. The crust was thin with a good char on the bottom. If I lived closer, I would come here all the time. It is unfortunate that the squash salad is only a seasonal item because my group kept talking about how much we craved it afterward. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me.
