Very good pizza. Best in the area soo far. I think we need to try another one, Maybe a signature to get the full feel. Cool location and string vibe in the shop. Price point is higher. A bit more than expected for a simple pie. But a second outing May change our opinion.

We've been wanting to go here for a long time and it was everything I thought it would be!! The owner is very friendly and you can tell they care about food. We each ordered two slices, one cheese and pepporini and one of the specials. First let me say, every single pizza looked fabulous and I bet they are all delicious. We watched as slices came out of the oven, the care and attention they took to every slice to add toppings and make it perfect. Ours had fresh homemade stracciatella and local garlic, basil and tomatoes. It was the best pizza I've had in years. The owner also made a point of checking in on us as we ate outside to see how it was. The care, graciousness, hospitality and attention to detail they give is rare and was a great experience. 10/10

I have loved Peels on Wheels since they opened. It's always such a treat to have any of their food, be it a Friday foccacia sandwich special or any of their pizza styles. I've even taken a dough making class and been inspired to try and recreate their mastery at home. They do everything with precision and FLAVOR! I recently tried their GF pizza and let me tell you, from someone who had to be GF for almost 10 years, I understand how different those products can be. This pizza not only had all the flavor and quality ingredients you'd expect from any Peels On Wheels za, but the GF dough was out of this world! I expected it to be good, but it was even better than that. Totally worth the ordering ahead to have a special treat and share with GF friends. They will thank you!

First time in Rochester and this place did not disappoint!! Delicious food and friendly staff!! Was a little difficult to find at night but we saw the Pizza Garage sign and was happy we did!

Pizza was as advertised. I've been wanting to order from here for months. Finally drive across town to order and pickup. Order was ready a few minutes early. They were super friendly when I ordered. I advised I was a new customer and asked for what was recommended. Simple cheese & pep pizza was 5/5 for sure. Quality very high. This is not a greasy pizza joint with cheap ingredients. Everything was fantastic. Sauce, crust, cheese, pepp, oregano, fresh chopped basil sprinkled on. Fantastic. Definitely going back again.

So if you live in the area an follow Luis on Instagram and other assorted social media platforms you will know this started basically with a food truck. They would take the truck wherever and make you some fine pie's and yes take classes. Incidentally I heard he will start up Pizza Making Classes shortly make sure to check all the channels. They still use the truck but the weather has changed and now they have a brick and mortar space on Culver. The inside is light and bright and they have a large garage door for the actual truck to roll in. I found out about him and his pies on social media and a group of us did a zoom pizza making class sooooo much fun and just wow so tasty. Thank you Yelp and our CM Megan! They have been doing online ordering only for a while to get their rhythm going. But as of late you can come in and get you a slice or two or order some 'Za! But as always check the website/call in for more info for ordering and etc. They have a long table inside but no seating it's basically a "to go" type of deal but I got a piece of pizza and I stayed to eat it. SWEET BABY JESUS get you some of this.. sure it's a little more than I would spend on a slice or a whole pizza but ole homeboy makes his own mozzarella and sauce and blah, blah, blah. You get what you pay for and it's the best of the best stuff. The sauce (red sauce) on the pizza is just right not sweet and not too salty but perfectly nuanced for whatever you get on your pie. (I took a photo of the menu and other things. I saw on Insta today that they were doing slices to go from 12-3 and it was a piece of pizza with cup pepperoni (I'll be frank I'm not a big fan of da pepp I'm from Chicago and it's about the sausage) but this was hella tasty, the cheese perfect than the fresh chiffonnade of basil, house made piped ricotta and Mike's Hot honey. It was absolutely scrumptious. I asked him if he's ever do a "Tavern Style" or thin cracker crust pizza (Chicago REPRESENT) and he said eventually they will. They do Detroit style, grandma and etc. Luis is a Gem of a person and it's obvious he puts a lotta love into his place and da 'za. Just go! Seriously! GETS YOU SOME! Street parking. Party on!

This dope little spot is tucked away on busy Culver street in Rochester, NY. You know the pizza is good when you drive 1.5 hours each way for it. Before we get into the dough, let's talk about the mozzarella cheese real quick. They make it in house from scratch. You're drooling, right? Buckle up! We started our meal with the Mozzarella Fritta filled with House-made mozzarella, hand breaded & fried (3 per order/fried in canola oil). The cheese pull was never ending and the crunch was perfect! You haven't had friend mozzarella until you've tried THIS fried mozzarella. Our mid week pizza party took off with a classic cheese that was "might not share" amazing. Organic tomato sauce, mozzarella blend, Sicilian oregano, basil, extra virgin olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano. I'm not usually a heavy sauce fan but the flavor of this sauce was so good I actually wanted more! Next we get to the mouthwatering garlic. We did the "build a round" option and went simple with a Garlic & Extra Virgin Olive Oil base topped with a Mozzarella blend. Best garlic pizza I've ever had in my life. The crust was crunchy and had the best finishing flavor. Peel's features specialties on different days of the week. We visited on "Motor City Wednesday" which features Detroit Style Pizzas! Started with the Chipotle Chicken BBQ (DSP) which has a cheese blend, pulled chicken (local free range), house made applewood smoked bacon (local pasture) finished with a drizzle house made bbq sauce sauce then garnished with pickled onion & chives. WOW is all I have to say. Every bit compliments each other in the most amazingly delicious way possible. The bbq sauce was LOADED with flavor. Now on to the simple but ever classic Red Top (DSP) which has a cheese blend, finished with two racing stripes of marinara sauce, Sicilian oregano and Parmigiano Reggiano. **added cup and char pepperoni for the perfect finish! Simple and savory. Staff was very friendly and welcoming! We can't wait to go back and try more delicious creations!

More than happy to add on to the Peels on Wheels love fest happening here on Yelp and other socials! Is there anything better than seeing a biz flourish and thrive like this? No one goes harder in support of great food and great people than our city - as is made clear by the Peels on Wheels to Peels Pizza Garage journey! The shop is located on Culver, nestled right between the North Winton Village and Beechwood...3 minutes from my home. Which is DANGEROUS. I love what they've done with the building to update and upgrade. The shop itself is a bright white, fresh ingredients on display, a shrine to Mike's Hot Honey (important), and an open kitchen to view the pizza hustle as you wait for your pie. Right now, Peels is doing a slow rollout of all their offerings to ensure everything is perfected - you can order and pay online for pickup during their open hours. As for the main character, the 'za itself, as everyone says - it truly is some of the best thin crust pizza I've had here or anywhere. Luis will explain the thought process behind his combination-style dough, fresh sauce, and how he perfected this recipe. It SHOWS in every delicious bite. We went with an "18 pep with hot honey and ricotta. It was flawless, not at all greasy and fired up with care. I also want to take a moment to honor the dipping sauces! The kick of the chili ranch was an excellent compliment to our 'za, and the gorgonzola dip features delicious chunks of cheese. I dipped pretzels in the leftovers as a snack and was a happy gal all week long. Luis and the team communicates their menu additions and updates primarily through Instagram. I cannot wait to see the success of this shop for years to come. It is my new go-to for pizza night, and a MUST order if you have yet to try!

Finally had a chance to try out PoW. After hearing rave reviews everywhere about this place. Submitted an order online for 4:15 pickup. Arrive at 4:15, and they changed it to 4:45. Said the onus was on me to check my emails to see if it had changed. I was not aware. Got a Bianca (Garlic, mozzarella blend, piped ricotta dollops, parsley, extra virgin olive oil, Pecorino Romano) and added cup and char to half. Added a side of creamy Gorgonzola. This was a pretty dang good pizza. Was it upper echelon like everyone else states? No, especially not for $30. It was cooked well, great crust, very good flavor, but it was extremely thin and lacked substance. Tasty, but not fulfilling. The creamy Gorgonzola was definitely an interesting twist for a dip. I'd come back for a slice if I'm ever in the area at the right time when they actually have them, but no way I'd pay $30-$40 for another one of these. They are doing something different than other pizza joints, but that doesn't automatically make it incredible.

I was so excited that Peels on Wheels opened a brick and mortar shop! I got the pepperoni 14" and it was very good. I like the cup and char pepp and they were nice and spicy. It's easy to see that everything is handmade with great quality. The pizza is a bit pricey ($24 after tip) but they do use all fresh ingredients. My only complaint is that I prefer a thicker crust and this is a thinner style, but overall it was very good.

The restaurant was quite crowded during Friday happy hour, and one server was responsible for both the tables and the bar. He was clearly overworked, so we were not attended to as consistently as we hoped and we only had time for one round of orders. The food took a long time to arrive, while the drinks came out almost immediately. *Cosmopolitan Bianca: was very heavy on the gin. I could only taste the lime, with no hint of cranberry or hibiscus. The hibiscus reduction added a pretty purple color but did not provide any tart or floral flavor. *Sweet Potato Fries: were not perfectly crispy, but the portion size was generous. The honey could have used additional spices, since the dish leaned heavily toward sweetness. *Pepperoni Pizza: This was a good shareable option, although it lacked a proper char and crust even when fresh. The dough sat in a noticeable amount of salty oil. The pepperoni cupped nicely and added a slight bit of texture, but the rest of the pizza was rather soggy. The happy hour menu was serviceable, but nothing was executed particularly well. It is not a bad spot for small bites after work, but I would not go out of my way to dine here.

Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

Today, we're stepping into Pane Vino on the Avenue, and this one was special because we came here to celebrate my wife's birthday." "Right away, Pane Vino gives you that intimate, date-night kind of feel. The lighting is low, the atmosphere is calm, and it feels like a place where you're meant to sit back, take your time, and enjoy the moment. It's not loud or chaotic -- it's relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming." "The service matched that same energy. The staff was friendly, attentive, and never rushed us. They checked in when needed, made sure everything was good, and let us enjoy the night. When you're celebrating something important like a birthday, that kind of service really matters." "Before the food even came out, they brought the bread to the table -- and honestly, that deserves its own mention." "The bread was warm, fresh, and soft on the inside with a nice crust. Paired with the butter, parmesan, and olive oil, it was one of those appetizers you keep reaching for without realizing it. Simple, but done right -- and that's always a good sign." "Now let's talk about the food -- because that's the main fight." "We ordered the chicken parm, and presentation-wise, it came out looking exactly how you want it to. A generous portion, nicely plated, and you can tell right away this isn't something that was thrown together." "The chicken itself was thick and cooked properly. The breading had a nice crisp to it without being greasy, and the inside was tender and juicy -- not dry at all. That balance is key with chicken parm, and they nailed it." "The sauce was well done. Not too sweet, not too acidic -- it complemented the chicken instead of overpowering it. You could taste everything working together instead of one flavor taking over." "And the cheese? Melted evenly across the top, good coverage, no burnt spots, no rubbery texture. Each bite stayed together and felt intentional, which tells you the kitchen takes pride in what they're putting out." "Overall, the chicken parm was classic, comforting, and executed well. No gimmicks -- just solid Italian food done right." "So here's my verdict: Food quality -- strong. Service -- consistent and professional. Atmosphere -- perfect for a date night or special occasion." **"Now let's put some numbers to it. Food: 8.5 out of 10. Service: 9 out of 10. We were greeted by the hostess, that I believe was either the owner or part manager of the restaurant. She sat us down and gave us menus (didn't mention the specials) and then proceeded to go and turn on all of the Christmas decorations in the restaurant and tell us about her deals when purchasing all of them. Finally upon her return the waitress took our drink orders and when I asked she gave us the listing of specials for the evening. My niece had a specialty mocktail that was described as having a "hint" of lavender- turns out the other items were done with a hint and all my niece (and I tasted) was the strong presence of lavender. For appetizers we ordered fried calamari that came with the typical red sauce- the fried calamari was good, but nothing special. We also ordered the lamp lollipops for an additional app and let me just say- they were the BEST part about our dinner! Perfectly cooked to medium rare and seasoned and grilled to perfection. It was my neices first time trying them and she said she couldn't wait to have them again. For our main dishes, my niece had the penne vodka- which was "okay" but really lacked on favor, nothing really special about it. I honestly think she makes it better at home. For my entree I had the Salmon- which came with a very thick strawberry sauce over the top of it. My fish was cooked perfectly and tasted great- without the thick "strawberry like" sauce over the top of it (I ended up scraping it off of the fish. I also wasn't a fan of the black rice-it had a very off putting smell and after having my first taste decided one bite was enough.

Every popular Italian restaurant was packed at night. Thankfully Tony D's has a spot by the bar and…read moreit has good reviews. Service is excellent and bartender checks on you constantly . Portion is huge. Meatballs appetize is like baseball size. I usually can finish appetizer and a main course by myself but I can't this time. Chicken Parmesan can feed a small Italian village. The tomato sauce they have is ok to me, taste like something you can get from the store. Maybe not enough herd or garlic, just not enough depth. I definitely will come back though; pizza and other pasta dishes look good.

Such an amazing visit for my first time at Tony D's…read more First things first, it was super easy to make reservations. The restaurant checked in 24 hours prior to confirm. The parking was good-the lot was scraped well and easy to navigate, an added bonus for someone not used to traveling in snowy conditions. My party of 4 arrived and was immediately sat. The hostess checked out coats (great provision). Our waiter was really knowledgeable and friendly-the perfect balance of checking in without us feeling awkward. We ordered and our food arrived quickly. The chicken parm was great-well seasoned and I loved the basil sauce on top. There was pasta included which I could have easily done without-the chicken was the star of the meal. The space is great for intimate dinners as well as large groups. The atmosphere is very balanced in that way. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.
