Walked in and was greeted by Uri. I think he is the owner of this place. It is a family owned business since 1994. They also fill in prescriptions. The reason for me being there was that I accidentally dropped my glasses and one of the lens came out, and one side of the frame broke. Uri, took a good look at it and said no worries, I will fix this right away and within like less than 15 minutes my lens were popped back in and the side of the frame that was broken was fixed. Even straighten my nose pads and cleaned both lenses. When I was there, there were only 3 other people looking at glasses. It's a standard size shop that sells various glasses by labels, designers, and generic type. They don't do no exams at this place, but do accept most vision insurances. Also, cash and credit cards are accepted. Uri, only charged me $20 dollars for both fixings including the nose pads. I took a good look at the store, and they had vast variety of glasses. Store was clean, with few parking spaces in the back, but I parked on the street. Thank you Uri, and Eyelab. Hopefully I will not drop my glasses any more. Accidents DO happen...

Arrived today (35 minute drive), found parking on a side street in a not great neighborhood and went in. Person neglected to greet another customer and me when we walked in while she was finishing up with her Customer. Asked me to resend the prescription because she could not find it from yesterday. Showed me two crummy frames and said they don't have a large selection in that size "at this time." Why didn't they tell me that yesterday? Why didn't she offered to let me see a slightly different size? Meanwhile, probably the optometrist, possibly the owner, didn't bother to come out and see what the problem was at all. I left, intending to buy frames elsewhere and have them fill the prescription. Warby Parker was actually less expensive with excellent customer service so I do not need to return to this shop. Small businesses are hurting and should be able to compete with Customer Service. This one certainly does not.

They always work with me to find the most comfortable brand of toric contact lenses, as well as a prescription for glasses. (I buy my glasses and contacts online, so I can't speak to their optician services.) As I've gotten older, now I also have farsightedness and diabetes. I mention that because not only do they continue correcting my vision accurately, with progressives, but they have a Nikon Optos retinal camera. That means that I don't have to go to a separate ophthalmologist for diabetic retinal imaging. I go once a year. It takes 30 to 40 minutes. Dr. Monji, Dr. Ichiuji, and their son Dr. Brett Monji are a good team. Kathie and Tanisha have been there for ages, and they remember me. Everything gets done as it's supposed to. I made an appointment here. I told them my symptoms, rapid loss of vision, extreme pain and sensitivity to light. When I went in it was mostly fine until I saw the doctor. I had mentioned pain and light sensitivity. He shone a flashlight into my eye and I was struggling against the pain to keep my eye open. The doctor showed a complete lack of bedside manner. He said "Cmon man you need to open your eye!" and became increasingly frustrated. It was physically impossible to keep by eye open normally with the light being shone into it tears were running down my face and all was an impossible blur. After a few seconds he threw his arms up and said "you have a cataract, yup" We then handled exit paperwork. I had a sneaking suspicion Dr. Eghbali botched the exam as he was totally frustrated and unprofessional. So I went to a normal optometrist hole in the wall for second opinion. I was given a priority referral and am now scheduled for my operation. Dr Eghbali's diagnosis was incorrect and wholly irresponsible. His mis-diagnosis could have led to a permanent loss of vision for myself. I was very lucky. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
