Tire Center is awesome. No hard pressure to upsell, although the standard Michelins I wanted were not in stock and my tires were bald. Staff answer questions without being patronizing. Nitrogen fill of tires. No wheel alignment available though. Also, Pharmacy is way better than your regular drug store. The Pharmacist was easy to talk to and cheerfully offered helpful answers. Staff generally nicer than other Costcos, especially Pentagon City. read more

The staff at this Costco is amazing! Their attention to great customer service and detail is a model for all companies to follow. They treat me and my wife and kids like family. They are always pleasant and thoughtful. They make this community a better place to live. read more

We've been members of Costco for years and years. We love the selection, the seasonal items, and the overall cleanliness of this one. The only complaint I have is some of the employees. You can find one employee to be helpful and go the extra mile and walk you to the object that your looking for or you can get one that is really grumpy. It's a crapshoot. Overall, it has a great location, plus gas! Can't go wrong with that read more

Just learned that Costco is no longer selling Lactaid Milk. WHY??? This is horrible news, they were $1 cheaper than at the grocery store. Bring Lactaid Milk back! read more

Never been on a weekend but weekday shopping is wonderful!! A VERY different experience than the one in MoCo. MoCo Costco is similar to a zoo. On a weekday evening this place is fantastic. No lines, friendly service, slow. Unfortunately this could all change as this area is under developed when compared to other areas. read more

Significantly less crowded than the Columbia/Elkridge location, even during peak hours. I love shopping here because it's simply less stressful than most other Costco locations in the area. The minor disadvantage that comes with that is less selection when it comes to a few specialty items, which are generally more available at higher volume stores. read more

I like this particular costco because its less crowded on the weekdays but weekends its a little crowded. Their customer service is excellent from the photo people to the food court. It's well stocked, neat, clean, and took my friends to this costco. Highly recommend this costco if you are near Arundel Mills Mall :) Happy Costco! read more

Best place to purchase your favorite grocery items in bulk.

Took my car to the tire center and it was done quickly! The staff was friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the quick and affordable service. read more

This is my favorite Costco to go to and all of the staff is friendly and so helpful. This brightly lit store is always kept well stocked and clean. It's because of this location that Costco is one of my favorite places to shop. read more

As good as it gets for a warehouse store! I do most of my shopping at Costco for groceries and clothes. It's too bad Maryland has such antiquated liquor laws--we can't benefit from the excellent wine, beer, and liquor bargains that Costco arranges in other states! read more

I love Costco. This is the greatest place to go when you need nothing but must have everything. But really the prices are amazing! This is also the only place I go for gas. No one can beat their prices. read more

This is by far the best Costco in the area! It is Clean (a huge plus for me) The staff genuinely seems happy and always willing to help!

I live on the eastern shore of Maryland and we don't have a Costco. I used to shop at Sam's but hate anything that has to do with Walmart - they are so bad at being employers and their quality is so bad. Fortunately, there is a Costco on the way to my mother's in Silver Spring - she lives in a retirement community (97) and so I swing by when I visit her. It is about 6 miles out the way in 80 mile trip. I found out about the store when I was shopping for a hearing aid. Less than half of the place in my town. It is worth it. I was so impressed with their store, their employees and the quality of their stuff. I ordered a new laptop for my daughter for Christmas and am now shopping for a loveseat/sofa. Just wish we had one here. read more

I like this location more than the Elkridge one because I feel it's cleaner and less crowded at times. The food court section has pretty decent food. Their pizza isn't soggy, and I really like their Bbq pulled pork sandwich ^_^ read more

This specific Costco has a great selection and is superior to the other ones. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The main benefit is this Costco has a gas station which the prices are always cheap. read more

We've been a member of BJs, Costco, and most recently Sam's. I'll write one review, moving the featured store to the top. Costco Positives *Gas prices *Lots of extras- cruises, roofing, remodeling, etc. *Faster checkout than BJs Negatives *Location- Not really near any other supermarkets. We typically go to the wholesale club after shopping for our normal groceries. Other than Walmart, which we don't shop at normally, there is nothing nearby. * Disappointing selection of diapers, something you usually want to buy in bulk. Sam's Positives *Location- closest to our house. *Separate gas station *Short checkout lines, especially self check out *Gas prices *Very competitive prices on milk and fruit *Good amount of samples on weekends Negatives *Customer service is horrible. We joined because of a living social deal. My wife wasn't with me when I redeemed our membership. The first customer rep told me she could come in at any time and only needed her license. She went in a couple weeks later and talked to the same person. She was told I needed to be there. A week later we both went back and after waiting almost 20 minutes with no one in front of us, she finally had her card. Strange that the customer service is probably the worst part about this store. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes, even if there is only one person in front of you. *Groups standing outside- it seems like there is ALWAYS someone waiting outside asking for money. I'd be broke if I gave a dollar to every organization who had something set up when I entered or exited. *By shopping here, you are supporting the Walmart empire. *Not as many extra services as other club memberships. This is a minor thing, as we rarely if ever use these extras. *No coupons, although they do have some sales. *Exiting- Some of the people who compare your receipt to your order take their job WAY too seriously. I was in there today. The person in front of me had nearly 40 items in her cart. The person checking her receipt literally went through each and every item to make sure it appeared on the receipt. It took over 5 minutes for her to completely review the person's order. All the while, a substantial line was building behind us. I understand the importance of theft prevention, but good grief! *The food line can back up as well. I feel really sorry for the staff as they are clearly overwhelmed any time a rush hits. They do move food products out quickly, but are limited in what they can do with only 1 or 2 people. Best experience so far goes to Sam's. It is still early in our membership, so that may have something to do with it. BJs Positives *Gas prices *Coupons *Tires, propane, and many other services Negatives *Long lines at checkout. Unless we were incredibly lucky, we always waited behind at least 3 other people. Average was probably 5 to 6 which would take nearly 15 minutes or more. No way do you want to stop in and only grab one item. *Long lines at the gas station- Filling up is always an ordeal. And it doesn't help that there is no room for long lines, so things start getting messy really quickly. * Having them fill your propane tank is a hassle. I had it done once. After talking to someone at the main store I was told to go to the auto center. The desk worker needed to close up shop and meet me at their tank. He then filled my tank, but their auto center was totally closed. * Good luck finding a cart. I made it a habit to grab one from the parking lot before entering the store. Most of the time, none were available. *The best thing about this store was the store brand diapers and cat litter. By the time we left, the diapers were discontinued and the litter price was raised. read more

Costco never disappoints but this one has a small selection compared to the other ones I have been too. Surprisingly so given the plethora of retail in the area. read more

I LOVE Costco!!! My absolute favorite place to shop from grocery to household items. This location is the best in the area; great customer service! Gas prices are always on the lower side and the line for getting gas is always pretty reasonable unlike the nightmare you face if you try and get gas at the Columbia location. read more

4.5 stars for costco. yeah, yeah, i know....it's just a big-box store. but they are very good at what they do and having grown up on price club then price costco then finally just costco, i've been going long enough that i do notice the differences from store to store. this store @ arundle mills mall in hanover is MUCH better than others i've been to. somehow, the parking lot, though almost always busy like the others, never seems chaotic or headache-inducing [unlike the one in beltsville, that is HORRID]. i have never had any problem at the store and everyone is very friendly and helpful. in all the times i've been there, they've only been out of one thing i was looking for, ever. the lines move quickly [again, different from beltsville's nightmare lines] and even renewing your membership is pretty painless. the prices aren't spectacular to me for food, but i mostly buy household stuff and i do see a significant difference there. the few foods i do buy - juice and frozen goods - range from just okay to good. the prices for pet supplies seem about the same as if you buy at target or petco or petsmart, ,and the sizes surprisingly aren't any bigger than what you can get at other stores either, so i skip that stuff. i've yet to purchase any electronics or appliances there, but i know several people who have been very pleased with their computers, televisions and accessories for same. the tire center: on my last visit, i had my first tire purchasing/service experience. holy guacamole, their tire prices make the whole membership worth it!!! i priced tires for my vehicle at 3 other places and costco's prices were WELL below even the lowest of the other 3. they didn't actually have the tires i needed in stock when i went there, but for a $14 deposit per tire, they'll order them for you and call when they arrive (a few days - less than a week). i went back for the installation on a weekend day and they were BUSY. the line was long, the wait much longer, and yet everyone (customers included) was patient, courteous, and accommodating. i will say though, that they need to improve their process/scheduling for the front counter. the line would've moved much faster if there was more than one person up there, or if they didn't have it so each car had to be checked out by the person at the counter after the keys were handed over. that just doesn't make a lot of sense, and makes it so even when/if another person comes up to the counter to help, they are always having to leave for a few minutes b/w customers. seemed sort of obviously stupid, in my opinion. but their staff is pretty wonderful. in my visits i dealt with CJ, DJ, devero and sam. CJ - 5 stars. this kid is so sweet and smart [and handsome] i wish i had a daughter so i could set them up. DJ - 3.5 stars. very patient. very clear and thorough. devero - 3 stars. didn't really seem like he wanted to be at work or was perhaps just tired, but still put in effort and was nice. sam - 4 stars. same as DJ, and also a good sense of humor that put tired customers a little more at ease. the whole experience was so painless i wish they did more car stuff b/c i would most definitely take my vehicles back there. i've already recommended them to 4 people. overall, store = 3.5, tire center = 5, costco as a whole = 4.5. read more

Such as any other membership place, great prices, everything comes in big packages And the deals are great. You can try out free samples. They have mostly everything hear. Sometimes the cashiers are a bit rude well sometimes. read more

I have never seen it busy there. Do not go there after dark, there must be a crime problem as there are always a lot of police in the area, especially near the casino. read more
