T.J. Maxx is such a great store. A little bit of everything. I come here every few weeks just to see what I find. I've found great deals on on clothes, it's the best place to buy luggage, and I've bought so many dog toys here. (My dogs, Oscar and Mayer, are so spoiled.) It's also a great place to buy cheap ear buds ad phone charging cables. And the inventory changes so you never know what you might find. I find their furniture to be a little expensive but it's usually quite unique. Yes . . . . this is the exact same review as the one for Marshalls. Practically identical photos too.

This is probably the worst TJ Maxx I have ever visited. The store is completely disheveled. There are empty shelves and empty (large, middle of the floor) displays around every corner. I literally almost tripped on some of the trash that the staff left in the isle. The checkup process was the only high point of my visit. I was able to get into a somewhat long line and check out very quickly. The cashier was quick, friendly and very attentive to what she was doing in the moment (not checking her phone or having sidebar conversations). The pics tell the whole story, you be the judge.

TJ Maxx is a discount dept store that has everything. Men's/Women's/Children's clothes, sleepwear/undergarments, accessories, skin and hair products, designer handbags, and home goods. I love their selection of handbags. They have a variety of colors and styles fairly comparable to the outlets although still a bit pricier. It's a hit or miss for me. Today I got a cute dress, two t-shirts, and 2 workout tights for $75. Not bad. I scored one Reebok tights for $15. Recently when I went to the Reebok outlet it was $40+. I only wish they had a section for Petites. Check out lines are usually long but move fairly fast. Each register is numbered and a sales associate will call when their register becomes available.

Needing a pair of jeans because the only one that I brought with me to Baltimore got drenched at the ballgame last night. They're not wearable and I have room in my suitcase, so let's go shopping. Sadly, the men's department at TJ Maxx left me wanting more. A lot more. In the XL and XXL area, there was a great selection. Of three pairs of sweatpants. I left without making a purchase.

Absolutely love this store. I always find something sassy and cute at a reasonable price. I commend the staff for keeping this store clean and organized. It really does make your shopping experience one to remember. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. I mark this as one of the top TJ's around.

    Its all clear.

I only come here on my lunch breaks. Never on weekends.Weekends are full of soccer moms ready to take you down for good deals all for themselves. Never busy on weekdays(noon) that can give one all the time you need without dealing with people blocking the aisles with their carts or themselves, long lines with upset soccer moms ready to scream at anyone they cross. Men's area seem very conservative in styles. Great children's area...toys and clothes. Home area is always a must see for something interesting. Hit or miss depending on the season and if new items arrives when the day you visit.

This TJ Maxx is Ok. By all means it's a great store and I will continue to come here, but there is nothing really that sets it apart or give you that "wow" factor. It is a very large store and there is plent of room. I've been a few others where it's very cramped. This one is not like that. The clothes are for the most part organized and not slug everywhere (see my review for Khols). They also have a great selection... I cant speak for the women's section obviously... lol but for Men, they have basically everything. If you're looking for some quick and cheap athletic clothes, this is the place to come. If you're into brand names, which I am not, they have pretty much everything. If you're just looking for something to either keep you warm or cool while you workout... then I'm almost certain you will find some cheap solution here. The home goods portion isnt so great and other TJ Maxxs I've been to. Also the furniture section is pretty much useless. They do have some pretty nice frames here for not much at all. Definitely shop here... place is great!

I visited the Marshall's today looking for particular items…read more I was pleasantly surprised to find garments in my size and on clearance. I didn't notice one of the garments didn't have a price tag at all, and so when I went to the clerk to be rung up, she pointed it out. I told her that I got it from the same clearance rack, and that there were other garments on the rack of the same brand. She started speaking low and put it to the side; I was under the assumption that she would perhaps call an associate for assistance to find a similar item. No! She just put that item to the side! I told her, I still wanted it, and if it was possible to get something similar. The other garment set I was rung up for was the same price - clearance - and same THING - right down to the quantity in the set! It was just not the same brand. She then shrugged her shoulders and offered a sheepish smile, and I just took that as my indication that I was going to have to get this item myself. So I went - walk of shame - while there were associates in the area who were on walkie and could have easily been communicated with to find an item - to find it myself. I initially became frustrated when I returned to the queue and found it to have accumulated quite a line. I was relieved to see that the clerk waved me back to my spot - though I'm not sure if the customers in front of me were going to be serviced or were communicated with in any capacity... Asides from the lack of initiative from customer service - the merchandise selection is pretty broad and there is are generous clearance deals throughout the store. I was able to find what I was looking for and some things that crossed my mind.

To my surprise,…read moreI spotted this location from the road, and I immediately pulled into the shopping center. The curb side appeal is severely lacking at this location, as there are shopping carts stacked in the front without a designated area. However, Parking is good with a huge parking lot right out front, and it is free. Prior to getting in line to start my return, I visited the aisles with the dining and hosting merchandise, and honestly, the selection was lacking. Everything was not very organized, though semi neatly stored. Also, one of the workers, who was putting away items, had a passive aggressive attitude towards me when I was attempting to walk around her with my cart. This happened twice, despite me politely saying excuse me/thank you. Perhaps, she had this attitude towards others, but I noticed it with me. Not sure if discrimination played a role, because I observed her earlier being incredibly nice towards another customer of a different race, to the point that the other customer seemed uncomfortable and awkward by the excessive attention. Additionally, the store aisles are especially narrow at this location, but the store also wasn't particularly busy during the time of day that I visited. The return process was convenient and the customer service was polite and efficient at the registers. This location overall seems convenient to make a quick stop, but I was not impressed by the selection.

Selection: Huge selection of candles, pasta, olive oils, fake flowers, fake plants, rugs, artwork, snacks and goods for your pet, pillows, blankets, baskets, kitchen supplies... the list goes on. Value: Sometimes I find the item at Marshall's (which is in the same strip mall) for less. So that's a little frustrating. We love the garlic Tuscan bread at the bakery too and their variety of seltzer flavors.

Representing 2019, W is for Wegmans. As my girlfriend & I have commented on some occasions…read moreparticularly when we've gone to grocery store together is they are all annoying, no perfect store. Wegmans at 3-stars is definitely above median as far as grocery stores go, but I have my complaints about them in spite of some solid positives. Only ones get greater than 3-stars would be Lidl in Columbia & Harris-Teeter in Fulton & Laurel have been positive experience, but HT prices average pretty high. When I've mentioned I'm going or went to Wegmans for groceries, people often comment they are expensive. While Wegmans isn't as cheap as Aldi, Lidl, or Wal-Mart, prices are a mixed bag here with some deals & would say cheaper than Harris-Teeter on average. I think even crappy grocery store Giant is no cheaper than Wegmans, & Safeway runs on expensive side too. In late 2010's, my experiences at Wegmans was mainly buffet mostly at Columbia location but also had been to other locations. My office is near Columbia one, so it was an occasional lunch option when I wanted to do buffet. In 2019, I believe buffet was $9.99/lb. I'd carefully load up, & the price would get to double digits, maybe like $13 or 15. One time I had work travel to Largo, MD in a prior company near Wegmans over there in 2013 or 2014, may have been $8.99/lb then. I was starving at 2:30 PM that day & really loaded up with a ton of delicious food, & I was horrified when my total was like $21 in 2013-2014. I forked up money, but was upset but then a little less upset after pigging out on all the delicious food. Mac n' cheese, various meats, rice, etc. are all yummy. One noteworthy lunch break from my office was on Monday, December 30, 2019. Parking garage was wet from cars coming in from rain, & I slipped landing on my back! I hurt my back. Thankfully, my New Year Day 2020, I was doing a lot better, but those last few days of 2019 weren't best. When Covid hit, buffet went away, but it came back by 2022. In July 2022, I was at a new Wegmans in Alexandria & was shocked when I saw $14.99/lb for buffet. I was going to do, but I opted not to as I couldn't justify such a high price. I think I might've done pizza slices, which were pretty good, & if it wasn't then, I know I had their pizza before at sometime. I just remembered my friend complained about her burger. I never got a burger at Wegmans before, but to be fair, she is very fickle when it comes to food quality & service issues at restaurants. Like a 4-star restaurant experience might be a 2-star experience for her, but I do appreciate she speaks up for herself & politely complains to server when sometimes isn't right for her. I think I did fork over $14.99/lb one time in 2024, but I had to be very careful not to overdo it at high prices, & think I paid like $17 in total. In more recent years, I've used Wegmans more as a viable grocery store option most commonly Columbia location, which is my closest location from my home in Russett, western Anne Arundel County, but also occasionally Gambrills one. One of the big positives of Wegmans is there is a huge variety of food in pretty much every category. I've gotten a wide variety of foods & even things I'm not thinking to look for or wouldn't be able to find at some other grocery store. Store is pretty clean & like model train that goes around above dairy area; it's a nice touch. I have friend from Buffalo, who loves Wegmans, as they started in western New York. Even in Maryland, if you're a Buffalo Bills fan, you can buy Bills clothes here. Thankfully, you can also buy Ravens gear too. On April 8, 2024, a group of us viewed total solar eclipse in Rochester, NY. Reason for Rochester as opposed to Buffalo, Cleveland, or other areas that had eclipse was one friend was born in Rochester, so held a special place in his heart. He showed us his childhood home & also mentioned how Wegmans was established in Rochester. Checked online now, year established was 1916. My biggest complaint occurred two consecutive visits in late 2025-early 2026. First time I had gotten a small percent of grocery shopping done in there when I discovered they had no turkey bacon. You want pork bacon, regular turkey, chicken, beef, seafood, etc., tons of variety, but no turkey bacon. I was annoyed & decided to abandon the couple of items I already got telling an employee & rushed to Weis closing at 9. Perhaps a month later, I told my girlfriend about last time their lack of turkey bacon. I said we are going straight to that area, & if they don't have we leave. They didn't have. I asked a worker who checked back but confirmed none. I told the guy they lost about $100 in business & to tell management it was bad. On Thursday, 1/22 before Ice/Snowstorm on 1/25, a lot was picked over but I managed as they have enough variety of things where I didn't get my 1st choice but I made do. Overall, Wegmans is a mixed experience.
