Came here to scout out some potential home decor items for a future visit. HomeGoods is a store that you have to careful visiting: they have a large selection of home decor items at great prices and you can really fill your cart up in no time! I decided, and to my better judgment, to walk the aisles without a cart to lessen my chances of impulse buying and it worked! I did eyeball a few items that interested me, but resisted the urge. They had an extensive inventory of home goods, food items, and pet supplies. I did notice that in this location, the selection of furniture was not as plentiful as in the past. Could have been what was available during my visit. The staff were pleasant and provided good service. All in all, I enjoy going to HomeGoods and on my next visit will indeed grab a shopping cart! read more

I randomly passed by here to make return, after running an errand at a nearby shop. To my surprise, I spotted this location from the road, and I immediately pulled into the shopping center. The curb side appeal is severely lacking at this location, as there are shopping carts stacked in the front without a designated area. However, Parking is good with a huge parking lot right out front, and it is free. Prior to getting in line to start my return, I visited the aisles with the dining and hosting merchandise, and honestly, the selection was lacking. Everything was not very organized, though semi neatly stored. Also, one of the workers, who was putting away items, had a passive aggressive attitude towards me when I was attempting to walk around her with my cart. This happened twice, despite me politely saying excuse me/thank you. Perhaps, she had this attitude towards others, but I noticed it with me. Not sure if discrimination played a role, because I observed her earlier being incredibly nice towards another customer of a different race, to the point that the other customer seemed uncomfortable and awkward by the excessive attention. Additionally, the store aisles are especially narrow at this location, but the store also wasn't particularly busy during the time of day that I visited. The return process was convenient and the customer service was polite and efficient at the registers. This location overall seems convenient to make a quick stop, but I was not impressed by the selection. read more

Fall is right around the corner! It's time to start decorating your home or apartment. Thankfully you can find everything for the upcoming seasons here at Home Goods. Service: Always friendly and helpful. For large items the staff will set it aside on hold until you can pick up your item(s). I like to come here to pick up snacks to sneak into the movie theater. (See Cinemark review.) I also find great candles and imported olive oil at an amazing price. Selection: Huge selection of candles, pasta, olive oils, fake flowers, fake plants, rugs, artwork, snacks and goods for your pet, pillows, blankets, baskets, kitchen supplies... the list goes on. Value: Sometimes I find the item at Marshall's (which is in the same strip mall) for less. So that's a little frustrating. But overall: this is the best place to find goods that help celebrate the holiday seasons without breaking the bank. read more

I like this location! These types of stores really can be hit or miss! Recently I was nearby and stopped in to browse! Ended up getting some things. I just couldn't resist! They had a decent selection of Christmas/holiday items! The prices were good! The employees were helpful and friendly! Home Goods has beautiful things, a massive amount of beautiful things. However, if I am seeking a specific thing, I can never find it at Home Goods. If I'm just there on an errand with someone else, or just passing through, I find a bunch of stuff I love but have no use for. Beware of rude management here! I am a frequent shopper of HomeGoods, TJMaxx, and HomeSense and I have never experienced such poor, rude, and horrible customer service as I did with an employee who I believe is a manager named Cindy. I tried to return an item without a receipt. In a very disrespectful and loud tone she said she could not do the return bc she didn't know when or how I brought it. She said her boss told her she can't return clearance items without the receipt. Her body language and tone was very offensive, argumentative, and condensing. The cashier apologized numerous times and looked uncomfortable as did some other customers. I asked her for the policy and she said it didn't matter what the policy was bc this is what her boss told her. Per HomeGoods policy on the website, "Returns with a receipt over 30 days, with a gift receipt or without a receipt will receive merchandise credit only. Merchandise credits are subiect to the Terms and Conditions printed thereon and imposed by the issuer which may include restrictions on transfers." I read the policy to her and she still would not return the item and walked away while yelling "SORRY, IM NOT DOING IT." Keep in mind I have a Mastercard with the store and found my receipt. I told her I found it and she "That's Great" and walked off again. The cashier returned the item for store credit. However, I will be complaining to corporate about Cindy, as this is not the first time I have witnessed her be rude to customers of color over simple store transactions. read more

I barely shop around here that much. The store is nice and clean. The staff are nice and friendly.

Plenty of parking, store was clean and organized. I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance while in the furniture area. Very satisfied with my trip and will return. read more

Manager of the Columbia Maryland store is very nasty, her name is Cindy. She has a hassle return policy even though the store gives you 30 days to return an item. Cindy talks down on customers and is not very nice. I had a very unpleasant experience with her and will not be returning back. read more

Great store, great price, return policy, everything is cheaper than any home store and home improvement stores. Lots of decorations, home items and they come seasonal. My only complain is buying furniture check them very well top to bottom. I can't understand the complains...it ain't the RiTz. read more

I went to this location because I was in the area. I normally don't go too far west county to shop, however I am lucky I did! I found an armoire that I instantly fell in love with which was the grey one pictured on Saturday went back Wednesday and of course it was gone but let's back up soon as I walked in on Wednesday I saw the teal colored one it was sitting right there as soon as you come in, I fell in love again! Told them I was going to purchase it took the price tag off gave it to the cashier because of course I wanted to do more shopping. I went to the back to see if the other one was there but again it was gone! It was ok though because I found another one even better. Ann Marie and the rest of the staff was very helpful. I really appreciated them. I paid and left it there for pick up within 3 days. I got it picked up today Jacob and Andrew was pleasant and very helpful! The service at this location was superb. My daughter needed a cheap table for her plant and a small cheap ottoman for seating. Other requirements are the furnitures are assembled already and that they will fit in her SUV. HomeGoods at this location had been meeting her needs. Again she found what she needed and paid less than $80 for both pieces. HomeGoods does not stock the best made furnitures. On Friday 28.2018, I went to homegoods for really nice bath towels and soaps, the store got really busy, so I noticed all cashiers was called to the registers to get the line down. As I walked up to my register #2, the STORE MANAGER Kathy, did not seem to be very happy our pleasant. The STORE MANAGER ACTUALLY PICKED UP THE SPEAKER AND YELLED EVER ONE TO THEIR REGISTERS NOW!!!! As I can see, all registers were full and being used. As a customer what I saw was a stressful environment for cashiers, that aren't hardly making any money, but I also saw a manager that showed poor judgement,anger, stressed out person that probably not right for this job, lack of leadership, the way she treats her employees and this shocking imagine to see that homegoods is allowing this type of behavior my managers towards their employees. I was on the high my for lamps. I saw one that was perfect! But didn't see a match. So I proceeded to find other options. All were solos. I assumed I was going to have to go shop around at other Homegoods to find a match. But at least I had options. As I headed toward checkout, Cathy (the manger) said hello. She looked at my cart, smiled and said, "I guess you need a lamp"? I laughter and told her I did, but couldn't find a matching pair. She looked in my cart at the four different options. Hold on let me see what I have in the back. When she emerged in about 5 mins she brought me the mates. I was able to take home the ideal set I wanted. What a positive shopping experience. I went to home goods today because I heard such great things about it. Well I definitely wont be back. The Store is nice, and theirs a huge selection of home goods, but the customer service is horrible. I went to look for a ottoman for my salon, when i finally found one thst I actually liked, it was hard to opem and close, Nd ot wouldn't stay shut. I asked one of the associates there if they had another one since this one had issues, they told me no and that whatever is on the floor is all they had. I loved it but wasn't gonna spend $129 on something slightly broken. Then the managee vame and i showed her the issue, she said oj thats not an issue it just needs WD40 and it will be fine, then she went and got some and sprayed it all over the Ottoman, then says here i go perfect. Why would i pay full.price for something already messed up? Then i asked her will i have to spray Wd40 everytime it didnt want to close? She told me no its fine, its brand new now! Brand new? I decided not to get it and the lady says to me "Geeze Whats the big deal"? I fixed it right?..... I just walked out. Never again home Goods. read more

My husband and I LOVE going here for great deals. They have quite a variety of quality items at great prices. We've gotten art pieces, mirrors, kitchen items and even toys for our dog. It's fun to browse all of the random things. I agree with another post, it's just like TJ Maxx, if you find something you love, grab it, they might only have 1 of that kind. We never leave empty handed, we highly recommend checking it out! If you love bargain shopping, this place is for you! read more

I really love HomeGoods but this location isn't the best I've been to. I personally like the location in Glen Burnie more. I've been here a handful of times and the selection compared to most other HomeGoods stores is limiting but I do find that their kitchen selection is pretty good. The only issue I have is that it's really crowded/disorganized so it can be hard to look around in that section without constantly bumping into other customers. read more

I typically loved shopping HomeGoods until I moved to Maryland and shopped at this location. Long story short, I will not spend my money at a store who doesn't take care of its customers when they have an issue with a purchase. First off, these typical stores sell mostly irregular items. Second, the stuff is overpriced. Then when you need to return something it can be a hassle. I'd rather spend my money at stores like Nordstrom rack, Bed Bath Beyond, Kohls, or Target. Stores with great return policies where you have more than 30 days to return an item, with or without a receipt. Stores who put customers first. I'm done shopping at HomeGoods, wasting my money on their expensive worthless junk. read more

One of my favorite places to find beautiful pieces. Unfortunately very disappointed with the store manager the lady with two braids on her head, don't know her name. I bought a $300 piece during my lunch break today Monday February 26th, when loading the item to the car I noticed a crack on a drawer. The store clerk that was helping me to get it in the car told me to go back in and I should be given a 10% discount. I went back and as I am walking to the counter this manager jumps in to ask if that was the only damage I said yes. She said $10 discount i looked at her like are you serious I have been buying from HomeGoods for over 10 years and I know the norm is usually 10% plus what the clerk that was helping me had confirmed. She goes on to tell me it was to the managers discretion, in front of the other customers, she is very unpleasant to deal with, there was another manager today at the counter who helped and gave me the custom discount. read more

This store has rude, hateful, racists staff. I wanted to exchange a kettle purchased at this store because it was a poor quality. Unfortunately, I misplaced the receipt. I asked if it was still possible to exchange this item and was totally prepared to get a no for an answer. The cashier # 8 said yes. She asked for my driver's license and stated issuing a store credit. Then she got up and went away for a while. She returned with a blond woman (I assume her manager). That woman said that she did not recognize the item being on their inventory. She also added that the item was of such poor quality that she could not believe that it had been purchased in Home Goods. She literally said that it was Walmart quality item. I was shocked. Then the manager grabbed the kettle I wanted to exchange for and said loud that this quality belonged to their store. While I totally understand that the store did not want to make an exchange with a receipt, I do not think that the comment made was acceptable. I said that I will pay for the new kettle but I am still returning the poor quality kettle even without a refund because this is where I purchased it. The manager said "God loves all". What did she mean ? Was this an appropriate comment ? Then she went away. The cashier said that she was going to give me an empty gift card. I told her that this did not make sense and she could dispose of it. She yelled at me saying that I should not get smart with her. Unbelievable. I had to report this incident to the headquarters. They were cool and have me a gift card to compensate for the bad kettle but I still have a bad precipitation from how horribly I was treated in this store. read more

This is a pretty cool store. It's a bit cluttered and some parts of the store seem a bit messy, but they have a great variety of items for the home. I always find a lot of cool art work and I like all of their glassware. The only thing I can say is that they are a bit expensive. read more

You can find a lot of hidden gems here. I'm not a fan of going here because the layout is hairy, the store is dusty, and people like to meander and take their time. However, I've found a few great items for dirt cheap prices. If you're looking for decor items (especially vases and chotchkies) this is a good place to go. I would just suggest going on a weekday when it's not too busy. There's also a good selection of kitchen items, mirrors, and textiles. read more

I enjoy shopping at HomeGoods stores but not impressed with this particular location. It's difficult to maneuver with a cart due to the crowds and isle width. I ended up leaving my cart in an obscure location so I could make my way through the store. This is a very shopped store, shelves are messy, and the selection is limited. A couple of good things to mention: the employees are friendly and helpful and the line moves pretty fast. read more

Inventory is good. It is a generally clean store. However, every time I shop here, there seem to be 15 employees casually stocking the floor but only one person actually checking people out. Cashier lines are long but the employees don't seem to care. I have little interest in shopping here again. read more
