Friday night only one cashier. Everyone is forced to use self checkout. Two people monitoring self checkout. What a joke.

I know Walmart typically gets a bad rep for its customer service, but I want to give a shout out to one of the employees. I was at the self checkout kiosk and one of my items would not scan. She took the initiative to ask if I needed assistance. There are employees who go above and beyond contrary to popular beliefs. Another reason why they have earned five stars is because they sell two of my favorite candy bars, Whatchamacait and Mr. Goodbar in snack size. I rarely see Whatchamacalit sold in stores and I never see Mr. Goodbar available in snack size. I also like that they have a larger array of gift wrapping supplies that are considerably cheaper than its rival, Target. A few months ago they had a coupon for buy two cards, get one free. I never see that offered by Target. It's solely the candy bars that really keep me coming back.

Shoutout to our local customer heroes! A special blessing to Ms Margie who called someone to help me in the jewelry department! Staff is friendly and working hard. Have patience with each other and thank each other for making our world a better place... kindness and courtesy is an amazing blessing! Thank you for your excellence Walmart staff!!! You are truly a blessing and we all owe you a lot especially during the pandemic!! Ms Margie and Omar helped me surprise my hubby with a new wedding band and he really liked it :)

December knife around 9:48. I slipped and fell on a liquid substance that was in the children's department. Witnesses saw me fall and told several store workers of the incident. My shoes were so slippery to put back on, that I had to purchase a pair of shoes. meanwhile I'm sitting 10 minutes asking to speak to the supervisor. She never came up fr of customer about my concerns. I will be pursuing a lawsuit. For one, the staff had no concerns then he asked me if I needed an ambulance they just walked around like it was nothing ! But the fact that the supervisor didn't even come up to assist Thank God, I recorded it. It was the behavior of the supervisor that I didn't like.

This wal-mart is not fully stocked with everything you need to survive the apocalypse! I don't think it's a super wal-mart and I usually only go to WM with a full grocery section. So don't expect to come here for lemons and avocados. They have a good party section, toy area, and Jewelry display. The men's clothing, house furnishings, and pharmacy leave you feeling like you should have went to target. There's a terrible traffic jam trying to get into the parking lot. They have this BJs gas station next to wal mart when BJs is I'm the other side of town. I honestly try not to use this WM often, but sometimes it avoided.

Great store. So many toys for the little ones in our family. They got bad reviews on yelp but still have unstop business. That's the power of Walmart.

Great price with many selections only deserve 4 stars. If the store is cleaner with better customer service, it will get more stars. People know what they are getting into before walking into Walmart, but Walmart also knows that they cannot be replaced. I'll still come back many more times because of their pricing.

I visited the Marshall's today looking for particular items…read more I was pleasantly surprised to find garments in my size and on clearance. I didn't notice one of the garments didn't have a price tag at all, and so when I went to the clerk to be rung up, she pointed it out. I told her that I got it from the same clearance rack, and that there were other garments on the rack of the same brand. She started speaking low and put it to the side; I was under the assumption that she would perhaps call an associate for assistance to find a similar item. No! She just put that item to the side! I told her, I still wanted it, and if it was possible to get something similar. The other garment set I was rung up for was the same price - clearance - and same THING - right down to the quantity in the set! It was just not the same brand. She then shrugged her shoulders and offered a sheepish smile, and I just took that as my indication that I was going to have to get this item myself. So I went - walk of shame - while there were associates in the area who were on walkie and could have easily been communicated with to find an item - to find it myself. I initially became frustrated when I returned to the queue and found it to have accumulated quite a line. I was relieved to see that the clerk waved me back to my spot - though I'm not sure if the customers in front of me were going to be serviced or were communicated with in any capacity... Asides from the lack of initiative from customer service - the merchandise selection is pretty broad and there is are generous clearance deals throughout the store. I was able to find what I was looking for and some things that crossed my mind.

To my surprise,…read moreI spotted this location from the road, and I immediately pulled into the shopping center. The curb side appeal is severely lacking at this location, as there are shopping carts stacked in the front without a designated area. However, Parking is good with a huge parking lot right out front, and it is free. Prior to getting in line to start my return, I visited the aisles with the dining and hosting merchandise, and honestly, the selection was lacking. Everything was not very organized, though semi neatly stored. Also, one of the workers, who was putting away items, had a passive aggressive attitude towards me when I was attempting to walk around her with my cart. This happened twice, despite me politely saying excuse me/thank you. Perhaps, she had this attitude towards others, but I noticed it with me. Not sure if discrimination played a role, because I observed her earlier being incredibly nice towards another customer of a different race, to the point that the other customer seemed uncomfortable and awkward by the excessive attention. Additionally, the store aisles are especially narrow at this location, but the store also wasn't particularly busy during the time of day that I visited. The return process was convenient and the customer service was polite and efficient at the registers. This location overall seems convenient to make a quick stop, but I was not impressed by the selection.

Service: Always friendly and helpful. For large items the staff will set it aside on hold until you can pick up your item(s). I like to come here to pick up snacks to sneak into the movie theater. (See Cinemark review.) I also find great candles and imported olive oil at an amazing price. Selection: Huge selection of candles, pasta, olive oils, fake flowers, fake plants, rugs, artwork, snacks and goods for your pet, pillows, blankets, baskets, kitchen supplies... the list goes on. Value: Sometimes I find the item at Marshall's (which is in the same strip mall) for less. So that's a little frustrating. But overall: this is the best place to find goods that help celebrate the holiday seasons without breaking the bank.

We had the Thanksgiving seasonal sandwich and the Italian and they were both incredible. They were balanced, filling, and worth the money. The grocery store in general is okay. The customer service is very slow and inconvenient. They have lots of cool different items that you can't get in other places. We don't come here regularly, but our kids love the train, the car shopping carts with steering wheels, and the fact that their bathrooms have stools to make things accessible. We love the garlic Tuscan bread at the bakery too and their variety of seltzer flavors.

Representing 2019, W is for Wegmans. As my girlfriend & I have commented on some occasions…read moreparticularly when we've gone to grocery store together is they are all annoying, no perfect store. Wegmans at 3-stars is definitely above median as far as grocery stores go, but I have my complaints about them in spite of some solid positives. Only ones get greater than 3-stars would be Lidl in Columbia & Harris-Teeter in Fulton & Laurel have been positive experience, but HT prices average pretty high. When I've mentioned I'm going or went to Wegmans for groceries, people often comment they are expensive. While Wegmans isn't as cheap as Aldi, Lidl, or Wal-Mart, prices are a mixed bag here with some deals & would say cheaper than Harris-Teeter on average. I think even crappy grocery store Giant is no cheaper than Wegmans, & Safeway runs on expensive side too. In late 2010's, my experiences at Wegmans was mainly buffet mostly at Columbia location but also had been to other locations. My office is near Columbia one, so it was an occasional lunch option when I wanted to do buffet. In 2019, I believe buffet was $9.99/lb. I'd carefully load up, & the price would get to double digits, maybe like $13 or 15. One time I had work travel to Largo, MD in a prior company near Wegmans over there in 2013 or 2014, may have been $8.99/lb then. I was starving at 2:30 PM that day & really loaded up with a ton of delicious food, & I was horrified when my total was like $21 in 2013-2014. I forked up money, but was upset but then a little less upset after pigging out on all the delicious food. Mac n' cheese, various meats, rice, etc. are all yummy. One noteworthy lunch break from my office was on Monday, December 30, 2019. Parking garage was wet from cars coming in from rain, & I slipped landing on my back! I hurt my back. Thankfully, my New Year Day 2020, I was doing a lot better, but those last few days of 2019 weren't best. When Covid hit, buffet went away, but it came back by 2022. In July 2022, I was at a new Wegmans in Alexandria & was shocked when I saw $14.99/lb for buffet. I was going to do, but I opted not to as I couldn't justify such a high price. I think I might've done pizza slices, which were pretty good, & if it wasn't then, I know I had their pizza before at sometime. I just remembered my friend complained about her burger. I never got a burger at Wegmans before, but to be fair, she is very fickle when it comes to food quality & service issues at restaurants. Like a 4-star restaurant experience might be a 2-star experience for her, but I do appreciate she speaks up for herself & politely complains to server when sometimes isn't right for her. I think I did fork over $14.99/lb one time in 2024, but I had to be very careful not to overdo it at high prices, & think I paid like $17 in total. In more recent years, I've used Wegmans more as a viable grocery store option most commonly Columbia location, which is my closest location from my home in Russett, western Anne Arundel County, but also occasionally Gambrills one. One of the big positives of Wegmans is there is a huge variety of food in pretty much every category. I've gotten a wide variety of foods & even things I'm not thinking to look for or wouldn't be able to find at some other grocery store. Store is pretty clean & like model train that goes around above dairy area; it's a nice touch. I have friend from Buffalo, who loves Wegmans, as they started in western New York. Even in Maryland, if you're a Buffalo Bills fan, you can buy Bills clothes here. Thankfully, you can also buy Ravens gear too. On April 8, 2024, a group of us viewed total solar eclipse in Rochester, NY. Reason for Rochester as opposed to Buffalo, Cleveland, or other areas that had eclipse was one friend was born in Rochester, so held a special place in his heart. He showed us his childhood home & also mentioned how Wegmans was established in Rochester. Checked online now, year established was 1916. My biggest complaint occurred two consecutive visits in late 2025-early 2026. First time I had gotten a small percent of grocery shopping done in there when I discovered they had no turkey bacon. You want pork bacon, regular turkey, chicken, beef, seafood, etc., tons of variety, but no turkey bacon. I was annoyed & decided to abandon the couple of items I already got telling an employee & rushed to Weis closing at 9. Perhaps a month later, I told my girlfriend about last time their lack of turkey bacon. I said we are going straight to that area, & if they don't have we leave. They didn't have. I asked a worker who checked back but confirmed none. I told the guy they lost about $100 in business & to tell management it was bad. On Thursday, 1/22 before Ice/Snowstorm on 1/25, a lot was picked over but I managed as they have enough variety of things where I didn't get my 1st choice but I made do. Overall, Wegmans is a mixed experience.
