Slightly crabby staff, but other than that, this Costco is like all others--AMAZING!! I love going right after I take family or friends to the airport, otherwise I try and go off of peak hours/grocery rush hours. Always well stocked with great consistent staples plus new additions every time I go, including holiday specific items. And of course, like with all Costco's, you can't go wrong with their unbelievably reasonable/cheap food that's available right after you check out! Definitely worth the price of an annual membership! ...AND the gas prices are great here! Just know, you have to be a Costco member and have your card to get gas here! read more

This Costco is beside the casino & Walmart. There is a decent selection of fruits & vegetables. The clothes on clearance were near the front of the store. The clothing area had a better selection than the DC Costco. It also felt safer and less hectic. The normal inventory was there. I just wasn't familiar with the layout. I normally avoid the third party vendors selling roofing & things I don't need. But this guy was strategically placed and I walked right by him. At least he was nice and didn't take hostages. Our club cards had issues, except when scanning at the entrance. The manager was nice. She helped us each time our card flagged a new problem. The lines were less busy after 7pm, except the grab and go area. Hold firmly onto your receipt as you exit. The fans could blow a wig off! read more

My experience at Costco Wholesale on 2/6/2026 Arundel Mills , MDwas completely unacceptable and deeply concerning. During checkout, I accidentally scanned a few items twice and clearly explained this to the cashier, Alex, two separate times. Instead of correcting the transaction in a professional manner, he reached into my personal purse without my permission. When I questioned this, he stated that he had the right to do so. No employee has the right to go into a customer's personal bag. That is a violation of personal boundaries and basic respect. I immediately went to the customer service desk to report what happened and asked for his name. The supervisor was dismissive and told me to go back and get his name directly from him -- forcing me to return to someone I had just had an uncomfortable interaction with. That only added to my distress. I have called the assistant store manager multiple times (2/6, 2/9, 2/11, and 2/23) and have yet to receive a return call. The lack of response and accountability is just as troubling as the original incident. Customers should feel safe while shopping. What occurred was inappropriate, unprofessional, and should be addressed immediately. I expect this matter to be taken seriously. read more

Haven't been a Costco member for over 30-years and just signed-up. Shopped through the meats and picked up several large cuts, butts, and pork loin for smoke's and grill'n. Meat prices seemed a bit high but quality looked good and the Pork butt tasted good. read more

Costco is my first choice in bulking shopping stores. They have a wide variety of items some regularly stocked and others of limited supply. They have fresh produce, meat, dairy, and bakery items. Although you have to buy most grocery items in bulk, other items are available as a single purchase, as other bulk stores have. They have samples to try and self-checkout, a great option for those who don't want to stand in a long, traditional checkout line, or if you have a limited amount of items. They have a great food court. The hot dog and soda combo has gotten a many of people through their lunchtime! The staff are pleasant and eager to assist. The new requirement of scanning your card upon entering was annoying to me, but I got used to it. The value is good for some bulk item buys as well. All in all, my first choice in shopping at bulk item stores. read more

Costco, why are you Always so busy, with tons of people bustling through the aisles? On my visits, I enjoy the free samples that are given out and feel like I've had a full meal by the time I am ready to check out, but still I venture over to the food court and get a slice of pizza and a drink for less than three dollars. Self check out is an option, but there are also regular lanes. The cons: scanning in and having receipt checked. This line is the longest and most unnecessary. read more

I went to Costco today to grab things for dinner tonight after picking up the kids who were fussy and didn't want to be in the store any longer but I wasn't nearly done shopping and out of nowhere this sample guy saves the day with a sweet treat for the kids they didn't mind being in the store for a lil while longer and they liked the ice milk bars so much I had to grab a box! This should be about serving your costumers. Went tonight to get a few things at night. The store is not busy about 30 minutes from closing. I'm in the express checkout line. I had a case of water and the Young Man/woman got the hand held scanner. I thought she was going to scan the case of water along with the items in my cart. NOPE. The joke was on me. She did that one item then walked away like I'm too busy to do anything but looking around for something else to do. I was pissed because at another Costco store near here they would scan the other items as a courtesy plus it speeds up the process. Love this place. Very convenient and they have a great return policy that allows you to explore new products you may not otherwise try with no questions returns. Only issue is when you find something you really like, they may not always keep it, so you must learn to love and let go. I do wish they'd put more pressure on legislature in MD to legalize beer and wine sales. Driving to VA and DC is not ideal, so how about putting some of those PAC dollars to work in MD please! read more

Great store and the service is great. I have found the team at all locations to be very friendly and very helpful. The meat is of very good and many of the vegetables are organic that is very important! The produce is consistently fresh. We truly have found the quality and selection in food v. and home decor to be excellent. The service today at this Costco was the worst I went in around 630 something to the membership desk to get a temp card the line was not long the representative spent about 15 mins with one person. I left before I could I receive service even though I was next in line. The representative could have acknowledged the wait but she did not. I will not be returning to this Costco. Sam's club and BJ's service is better and I will be shopping there more. read more

Honestly, the quietest Costco I've been to in Maryland. It's a bit further than my usual Costco but I discovered it while in Glen Burnie the other day. The staff is super friendly here and they have the largest book selection I've seen (although Costco is now going to stop carrying books year round). The check out line is never long here (I've been here three times now?) they have decent Asian selections here. They have good sales here - I finally saw oxo boosting power on sale for $5 less! If you're willing to drive more - this is the best Costco as it's never that busy! read more

Serious question for anyone leaving a 4 or 5 star review, how do you find anything in this warehouse? I finally gave in and got a Costco membership for the first time and all of my shopping experiences have been incredibly unpleasant. Two trips in a row I have left without making a single purchase because I cannot find the items I came to purchase. Things move around so often at this warehouse that even the employees have no idea where anything is. On this last trip, I sought out help at the membership desk who confirmed there were 140 of the items in stock but unable to help me locate them. At that point I ordered the item on Amazon and left the store. I truly feel I may be missing something because so many love having a Costco membership but so far all of my shopping experiences have resulted in me leaving without making a purchase. This is my favorite Costco location out of all the locations I have been to so far in Maryland. It never seems as crowded as going to any other Costco. It is easy to find a parking space. The food stand after checkout is pretty quick with getting you what you ordered. One of the most important features the gas station they have. They have self-checkout lines. read more

We Love Costco, however the service today was not a "Kirkland quality" service. It's has always been our tradition to shop at Costco and then get Costco hotdogs. I asked Angela for sauerkraut and onion. Angela told me there is no sauerkraut. Ok, onion is fine. Angela carelessly tossed the onions to my pile of hotdogs, pizzas, and chicken bake. I was taken aback. I walked to the table with our little boy thinking did that just happened? Did she just carelessly tossed the onions at me? It did. I went to let the supervisor, Carlos, know. I hope that Angela is made aware to treat customer with respect and kindness. After all, we are the reason she and her coworkers have their jobs. read more

Pros: The line isn't super long nor overcrowded compared to some of the other Costco's. They have good selection of items and pretty clean. They have what we typically need and our go-to items. The staff are also friendly. This is one of our go-to for grocery shopping for these reasons. Cons: We bought a few kitchen items from here and most of them were terrible quality. We bought a cutting board and it was unusable due to it not being sanded (we've never encountered this issue with any cutting boards before). We bought a metal strainer and it rusted within a couple weeks of use, etc. Their baked goods can improve. For example, they don't put a seal over their baked goods to ensure no one tampers with it. One time, we saw that one of the danish was missing from one of their container and looked like someone may have taken and eaten it. Another time we bought cream cheese danish and it had a strange chemical/plasticky taste to it. Also, we had bought one of their ciabatta (?) bread, ate it on the same day, and it had a moldy taste to it (this happened a couple times). We haven't experienced this with other Costco's and typically we really enjoy Costco's baked goods except but this location has been a bit of a disappointment. In addition, not sure about other Costco's but this Costco don't provide refund for baked items even if it's not the customers fault. For non-baked item, we recently noticed that there were a few expired items on the shelf unlike the other Costco's we've been to. We also recently bought ham and it was slimy and sour. We had bought their veggie patties and half of them had expired. So, it looks like they don't rotate their food items well. Overall, based on our experience, this place has some room for improvement. read more

Your run of the mill Costco. I rate it 4 because it's never as insane as the one in Gaithersburg and that alone ranks it as one of the greats! Things are clean, tidy, and always in stock. My chief complaint, which is probably more so corporate than anything else, would be that the bagged broccoli is awful. I'm a fit person and can go through that bag in a week and a half. I had to stop buying them bc the broccoli would begin to go bad a few days after purchase. Really disappointing bc the price is great! read more

Really disappointed right now. I love Costco--it was my go to store back in Hawaii, but ever since moving to Maryland I haven't been that interested. I find myself shopping at Sam's Club more often. What really set me off tonight was that I got a USED Keurig. When I opened the box, there was still left over water in the water tank. Who knows how long that has been sitting there! I was truly fooled because the box was in pristine condition and the Keurig was actually wrapped in plastic (like it was never used before). The Keurig has scuff marks and drops of dried coffee on it. WTF. Look, I'm not against "open box" products, but you can't just repackage it and put it back on the shelves without cleaning it or labeling it as an open box! The fact that it has dried coffee stains on it seriously sets me off. Never shopping at this location again. Never! read more

This is a hard review to write because frankly, I don't want anyone to realize how good this place is and start coming here. After moving around the country for the last 5 years, this might be my favorite Costco and for one very simple reason: it's really not that busy. There have been times when we come (particularly like a Friday night) where it's just dead empty. Almost feels like we have the place to ourselves! We've gone at other times on the weekend, and while it does get busier I never feel like it has the "zoo" atmosphere I get at some other Costco's. Recently got a membership (after years of shopping with family members) and I was like a kid at the candy store ooh-ing and ahh-ing at everything. While yes, this is your run-of-the-mill Costco, I would like to acknowledge how much better the shopping experience is when things are neatly stocked and available. Heading here on a weekday, I felt a sense of almost-calm shopping, as compared to the frenzied experiences of Phase 1's Past. As someone who eats blueberries daily, I was so surprised at how much bigger they are here compared to the ones in the grocery store (if they're GMO, please don't tell me lol). I also haven't had a blueberry muffin from Costco in ages, and let me tell you, they are a thing of dreams. Just don't look up the nutrition info! Came here to pick up an online order and the first time we did it was a huge disappointment, waited for more than an hour and left the store with a sour experience. We decided to come back and return the item, because a chain like this need to pay attention to issues like this were poor customer service and and misunderstanding should not happen. I really don't want to enter im too much details, but after speaking to the manager, the experience was way better. He made it right and promise to make sure it won't happen again, not only to us but to any other customer. The store: I'm finding more and more that just because you get more in the package, that doesn't always make it a deal. However there are a lot of good deals in the place if you are patient enough to look for them. The staff here for the most part are helpful, and friendly. The lines can get long, but they're typically good about opening up enough lines to accommodate the traffic coming through the check out. Given the location being right next to Arundel mills and Maryland Live Casino you might get the idea (as I once did) that this place would stay packed just off of the traffic that is generated by the places surrounding it, but from my experience this Costco is just about as busy as the one in College Park, and though it can be packed, its not a constant theme here. The gas: The best part of this location is the gas prices. they seem to always be lower then anywhere else, and I try to only come here other costco locations for gas. read more

I usually go to the Costco in Lanham, so this is my first time at the Hanover location. 2 days after Christmas this place is a ghost town! Again, I dunno if this is just a slower store, but it seems like we have the whole store to ourselves! Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Great selection of organic items, which makes sense since I recently learned that Costco is now the largest organic grocer in the nation. Surprising, right? This store is well organized and well stocked. I especially appreciate the good prices and wide selection of sizes on their clothing. AND I'm a big fan of the açaí bowl that most food courts phased in this last year. Totally natural ingredients and a generous serving so I can share with my honey bun. I ordered new tires to be put on my car and made an appointment online for installation. I arrived almost 45 min early to see if they could take my car early. They said they would, and I left them my keys. Not only did they take 5 hours to put tires on my car - far neglecting the 1 hour appointment that it was supposed to be, but they did not install all of the caps to two of my tires. The tires looked used in daylight as well. Then, i found out 4 days later my caliper was leaking. When I took my car to a local mechanic they told me that both my back tires had lug nuts put on improperly and had to BREAK THEM to get my tires off. They had to drill out the studs to fix the caliper. Long story short - the money i would have saved buying tires and installation at Costco Arundel Mills cost me in them doing a poor installation and then DAMAGING MY CAR and NOT telling me. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

How awesome is it that I get to write a Yelp review for the happiest place on earth. I come here weekly for dinner with my family and it is perhaps one of my favorite places. Where else can you feed an entire family for 4 for under $10? Oh yeah it's Costco. If you know anything about Costco, you understand that there is standard menu that starts with hotdog (which includes a drink) and pizza. From there you start and add to what is about to become an epic meal. The recent addition of chili to the menu has made the standard Costco hot dog into an amazing / unreal Costco chili dog. The chili bowl at $3.99 is a lot to handle for 2-3 people, but it's worth trying once with a hotdog. Lastly, the selection at this Costco is always on point. There is always parking, and there are rarely long lines for gas. Writing this review is bitter sweet in a sense b/c now I'm letting people know that this place surpasses all regional Costcos in terms of stress / crowds. The staff here are consistently friendly and respectful, and more than willing to go out of their way to help me out whether it is to purchase something that they may not necessarily have in stock but another Costco might. One more thing. As soon as I'm done with my time in the military, I am working for Costco. No question. read more

Costco with Gasoline is taking something that is great and adding a dash of awesome. Gas savings alone almost pay for the membership. This location carries some ethnic Asian food stuff, and the also sell cigarettes. It's clean and not very crowded even on weekends. read more

One Liner: This clean and uncrowded Costco offers discounts on great items but perhaps more importantly, access to some awesome products. I love this Costco! Despite being located in a congested area, if I go to this Costco during lunch time on a weekday there is no one there. It's great! I used to go to another Costco (in SoCal) at the same time and you would have thought it was the Saturday before Thanksgiving every day of the week - no where to park your car or maneuver your cart. Amazing! I also appreciate how clean this Costco is. Moreover, on the weekdays there are rarely lines or very short lines. As much as I dig this place, I am very disappointed that about six months ago Costco switched their snack bar from Coca-Cola products to Pepsi products. Booooo Costco. Finally, a few thoughts on the Costco experience in general: - For me, I am member not for the cost savings necessarily but for access to certain products. I'm a single person living alone but I still find it's valuable. - If you are military, you will probably find that prices here are comparable to that of the Exchange. - Yes, many items are very bulky and you may not want to buy them here if you don't have the storage space. However, there are plenty of products I buy here that are a reasonable size - pistachios, two-pack of boxed cereal, etc. -Some people say, "I'm single so I don't buy here so my food will spoil." As a single person, I agree that if I buy two gallons of milk it will expire. But today's cashews, Diet Coke, protein shakes, Greek yogurt and frozen veggies will not spoil on me! As a single person I choose wisely. - Obviously, not everything is always a bargain. Sometimes I can do better at a regular grocery store or Target, with or without a coupon. read more
