We got some cookies to put out for guests and just for fun we grabbed some Dubai-style chocolate. We were expecting average stuff. We got Wow! The cookies were thick and crunchy with a good layer of hard icing and cute shapes and decorations. A friend recently had cookies custom-made in Baltimore for a baby shower, and these Christmas House cookies at Marshall's were just as good! The Dubai-style 33%-cocoa milk chocolate bar was stuffed with a think layer of 11% finely-chopped pistachios and crumbled kadayif filo! Very nice flavor and texture, as good as I've had anywhere! A fancier brand might have some tahini in there, but I didnt miss it. And the box shows the usual green-coloring for the filling, while this filling is chocolate-color, which is ok with me. We were happily surprised by the quality of these treats at a Marshall's!

I came into this Marshalls after visiting Ross and almost fell back from the change in class lol…read more I'll definitely make this my first stop. They had so many items I had been searching for! I wanted to grab all the past presents I wasn't able to find at that time I intended to give them. Funny how all the memories and hopes returned when I saw the items. I'll know to go there first next time. They also had about 6 cashiers checking out also so the wait on live didn't seem so long. They also have some of the cutest reusable bags as well that I wanted to grab for friends. Different doggies with different drinks seemed so appropriate for my girlies lol

Came here to scout out some potential home decor items for a future visit…read more HomeGoods is a store that you have to careful visiting: they have a large selection of home decor items at great prices and you can really fill your cart up in no time! I decided, and to my better judgment, to walk the aisles without a cart to lessen my chances of impulse buying and it worked! I did eyeball a few items that interested me, but resisted the urge. They had an extensive inventory of home goods, food items, and pet supplies. I did notice that in this location, the selection of furniture was not as plentiful as in the past. Could have been what was available during my visit. The staff were pleasant and provided good service. All in all, I enjoy going to HomeGoods and on my next visit will indeed grab a shopping cart!

There were items I found in one store that were not here, but I did find a painting here that was the other half of the painting I got in the other store that the other store did not have. I will be exploring more home good stores. One thing is for sure- customer service is always on point.

I didn't need much, so with my basket full of what I needed, I headed to the electronics department. I wanted to purchase a an Apple TV. As I got to the department, I went about trying to locate where this would be located. I eventually found it only to discover that it was a locked up tight and I would need to find an associate to open the case. The Target employee must have sensed the need to need assistance, and vanished. With nothing better to do, I stood there and just waited. I figured he would be back eventually, but he did not come back. Where the item was was right next to the register area in electronics, I was hoping that he would be back very soon, but no dice. I watched as other shoppers went about their shopping and as other staffers went about their day. I only received help after an associate must of been going on their break walked by. They asked if I needed anything and I told them I just anted to make sure they had the item and if I could buy it. Luckily they had the key to get into the case, but they did not have the item. With that problem solved, I made my way to the register to pay. Used the self checkout, and was out the door.

I just took a look at the receipt now because I wanted to throw away the bag and noticed that they had charged a "round up fee" of 3cents. What is that all about? And of course with taxes and the charge for the bag, it worked out to a whole number! I would never have discovered that. Why not round up prices instead of rounding up to get more money from customers? It feels deceitful! I'm really not happy about that. I know it seems petty. Look at your receipts before you leave the store.

Unlike Marshall's, I am rarely ever able to find anything in TJ Maxx. It is the rare occasion that I will stop by and find an item or two, but it is never where I find an abundance of any one thing. I have perused a number of sections from beauty to household goods and the beauty section is where I typically find good stuff. For this reason, I stopped by today because I have found that if Marshall's does not have the hair styling products that I like, it is a great chance that I will find it at TJ Maxx. Well, I went to this store yesterday looking specifically for hair products and was able to find quite a bit and the brands that I like. I walked into the store, located what I was looking for and went directly to the checkout line. I really like how structured this visit went, which was a far cry from my usual pop-ins to see if I find anything. Those visits always leave me disappointed.
