Unlike Peapod, Safeway doesn't allow you to tip their drivers, which saved some awkwardness for me. With minimal effort on my part, I had a kitchen full of groceries. Cons: I haven't checked to make sure nothing was left out of my order, but I did receive a can of soup of a flavor I hate, but I was too lazy to see if that was my error or theirs. They also used a lot of plastic bags, which I normally avoid. The biggest downside though was the expense. Even with free delivery, I felt like the estimated bill was a little more than I usually spend at the store (it's an estimate if you get anything that varies in price by weight, like meat). The Web site said that usually the actual cost is a little less than the estimate, so I was surprised when the actual price was about $10 more expensive.
