Whenever I'm around, I like to stop by the Maxx if I'm nearby, because they always have cool stuff. This location is in the corner of a strip mall. Despite its size, I felt that it was packed pretty right, and the selection in my opinion was just okay. The value is always good and at this time, they had just begun their clearance mark downs. Out of all the TJ Maxx I have been to over the past few months, this is by far my favorite. Every time I think of an item that I may need, or want, I want to make my way here. Mostly because when I go to another location anywhere in the area, I'm disappointed. This location always seems to have items on hand that you are hoping for. Such was the case when I was looking for a new office chair. Being as particular as I am, I wanted what I had in my mind. Funnily enough, this location had just that, and lucky for me, it was on clearance. It is really well organized in here, made searching for items really easy. Somehow this store felt really spacious as well. I don't know why, but it just felt like I could have been in one area and not be bothered by anybody for a long time. Customer service was a bit lacking. Employees were almost non-existent, even at the registers. For the whole store to be running, I only saw two employees and they were at the register. I visited to return some items a few weeks ago that I had bought pre-COVID and then I went back yesterday to buy some things. At the first visit, there were so many people in line and many staff members milling about and only two open registers of a possible eight. This is what happens when you don't train floor staff to be cashiers. Can't remember what day of week I visited. The cashier who helped me was really friendly (a muscular guy in his 20s with interesting sleeve tattoos). He was very apologetic but didn't know how to do a return and had to sheepishly ask a manager for help multiple times. I felt bad but he was really genuine and friendly even though the return process took a long time. At the second visit yesterday, the line was much shorter and there were at least five registers open. For a Saturday afternoon, that makes sense. The cashier was extremely friendly and sweet and willing to help. Can't recall her name but will update if I find the receipt. The store was very clean and well organized with prices clearly marked. They have a giant PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING sticker glued ON the surveillance monitor in the corner wall of the store, which is funny. You can see the rest of the monitor where there isn't a sticker. Why put the sticker there?! So random! There's a greeter at the door sanitizing door handles and other touch points. She was very friendly as well. I ended up buying frames for a wall of frames we're putting up but so many cute stuff I had to resist buying, like the mushrooms and porcupines I took photos of and posted here. read more

I'm here two Saturdays before Christmas to wrap up my gift purchases. The store opened bright and early at 7 am. The store has lots of great merchandise to select from. The team is was very attentive as several employees asked me if I was able to find everything I was looking for. The prices were reasonable and the selection of items was great. read more

Came in at 9:17 and a employee approached me stating that they were shutting down and I needed to go to the cash register. I look down at my phone to see the time- while asking if the closed at 9:30, I look up and the employee is already walking away, shaking her head and not acknowledging me. I understand that it's the end of the night, you're ready to leave, but be respectful about it at least. No one likes to close or leave work late but you think someone who works in customer service would have a better attitude towards customers. Definitely in need of proper guest interaction training. Do better and stop being bitter for doing a job you get paid for. read more

I consider myself a fashionista bargainista but this location does NOT help me maintain that title! I've been here several times and every time, it's the same for me. Not much variety or great quality. Things are very disorganized and on the floor, the lines are long, not many employees working, and the service is ok. I was shopping and on a call with my team while in the store. One of the associates was waving to get my attention to say we are closing at 9:30. It was 9:20. I said ok. She said the registers are going to close. I said well they won't close before 9:30 will they? She said I don't know. I continued browsing. I had two more employees do the same thing and warn me that the registers are going to be closing. I have been shopping in TJMaxx/Marshalls for years. Many times it's been near closing. I have never felt this type of pressure, harassment or almost threatening warnings uttered toward me. As little as people are spending these days you would think they'd be more appreciative and discrete. I know they want to go home but running customers down in the aisle, in addition to the multiple announcements on the loud speaker is a bit too much. Every time I come to this shop they are so slow and literally no body in front of me in line and I still have to wait for 15mins for my turn. Don't come to this store I don't know what is wrong with them and the cashiers are just xxxxx. read more

This is actually one of the nicer TJ Maxx stores I've seen. The racks are arranged so you actually have room to walk between them, the clothes are sorted pretty well, and they have a great selection of household and home decor items. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is their fitting room.....The employee tells you there's a 10 item limit, stands there and watches you take the items out of your cart, but then still takes them from you and counts them again. But in this case (I've never seen this part done before), she even counted them all individually again when I came out of the fitting room. I'm sure this is a corporate policy, as every store in the chain does the same thing, but I find it very annoying (although I kind of understand why they do it). Understanding that it is a discount chain and probably attracts some less than honest clientele, it's still a bit insulting for everyone to be treated as if they're not trustworthy. But maybe that's just me being to sensitive. ;) read more

I've been decorating my new home for about 2 months now and I'm pretty sure I've been to every TJ Maxx within a 20 mile radius combing for good finds. This location has one of the best kitchen selections I've seen: flatware, glassware, jars, oils, storage, you name it. I also picked up a few good stocking stuffers in the men's section. I really appreciate the extended holiday hours too, I came really late (9pm-10pm) and I didn't have to fight a crowd. read more

I wish I had a Tj Maxx closer to me but this one gets the job done! I have nothing bad to say about this location. The employees are great, the selection of products is even greater! The ONLY thing that really gets me is how messy it gets sometimes. It's not all the time, but once in a while it's so messy that it gives me anxiety. it is the cleanest TJ Maxx I've ever been too but the selection is so small! I like TJ Maxx because usually they have a great clearance section, and a lot of knick knacks that i need all in one place. This location is spotless, but also empty. A lone clearance rack and the prices weren't even all that discounted. I've tried this store 3 times now, and it has been the same: clean and empty. This is the cleanest, nicest, most organized TJ MAXX I've ever seen in my entire life. There was nothing on the floor at all. I'm still pretty shocked as most stores look ransacked. I've been to many TX MAXX'S in many states. They should use this store as a model for other stores. The northern Va ones are TRASHED. They are so bad you can't shop in them anymore. read more
