"That's been on all night, hasn't it?"…read more Off panel, Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, gestures to the giant bat signal adorning the blood-red sky in the opening pages of writer-artist Dustin Nguyen and writer Derek Fridolfs' Li'l Gotham volume one. "This is the one night of the year that it stays on until it burns out," Batman explains. "It's a good thing if you're rich enough to afford the electric bill," Robin smirks. "But I don't..." "Shush! Down there!" Damian admonishes his father. "It's crime time," Robin yells as he hurdles off the building's ledge, from which they were once perched like gargoyles, and immediately engages in fisticuffs with whom he believes to be the Riddler, Two-face, and the Joker. "AAGGGHHH! Don't hurt us!" They plead. "Robin, stop!" Bruce pleads as he grabs Damian's fist-clenched right hand. "They're just kids." "They're just kids? KIDS?! What lowlife has kids doing their dirty work?" the ever-mission-focused Damian scowls. "Look around you," Bruce calmly adopts the roles of teacher and parent as he walks into a bustling sidewalk filled with kids dressed as Superman, Lex Luthor, Darkseid, Zatanna, Flash, and Mr. Freeze, among a few less DC-specific, generic Halloween icons. "It's Halloween." Before 2020, in the U.S., parents could rely on myriad pop-up costume shops and national retailers to fulfill their pre-teens' desires to dress up like Li'l Clayface or Li'l Poison Ivy. Post pandemic, one of the last brick-and-mortar places parents have left for such holiday-shopping is Target, which, unfortunately, is no longer as committed nationally to exploring new customer bases and bolstering first-time business owners. At least at this 3343 Corridor Marketplace location in Laurel, Maryland, the exceptional customer service from Lynn makes each trip for groceries, household staples, and seasonal offerings worthwhile for us.

There were associates on the floor available for when I asked a question if where the board games were. And everything was well stocked. No issues with asking if they had something in the back. Gladly pay a little bit more to avoid another store and to keep the brick and mortar open.

I was in the area and decided to stop by this store. It has been some years since I visited an Old…read moreNavy store (different location) and wanted to see if they still carried some tops I still wear during Fall/Winter months. Either the store overall no longer carries what I was looking for, or I may have missed it during the last season. I noticed they had what looked like a shawl to wear indoors and thought it would be perfect in keeping me warm. At the time I visited, there was a sale going on, so that helped a lot. They also had some sleepwear sets, but when I felt them, I noticed the material was very thin - more for maybe spring weather vs winter. I will look for that at a different store altogether. I did not stay long in this store. It was quick in and out. I still had good service when I checked out.

Since hitting my 30s, I've considered myself too "old" for Old Navy. But, I decided to open my mind a little bit...and escape the heat with some quick window shopping. I was quite surprised that I found a few summer wear items that were on sale especially because many items were marked off 30-50%. I thought the store, for the most part, had a decent inventory of clothes and was very well-organized. Overall, I thought customer service was pretty good. I get it's a part of their job, but I get a bit annoyed when I'm asked to apply for a high interest store credit card MULTIPLE times during a shopping adventure. It would be nice if these corporations could pass on savings to customers WITHOUT them applying for and using a store credit card.
