This is my go to weis that's close to where I live. I can usually find everything that I need. The layout is pretty easy. I always love when items are on sale. Weis has a problem with leaky milk. A new container of milk Weis milk has leaked so many times I don't trust it anymore. I always invert the container in store to check for leaks but that doesn't matter. If the milk is packaged laying on it's side it will leak and ruin your bag and maybe your groceries by the time you get it home. Now I bag Weis milk in plastic just like the bananas. Overall, I like Weis and would give their produce section 5 stars. I only mention this milk issue because I want Weis to fix it, or at least provide plastic bags near the milk. read more

Bottom Line: Bright, clean and adequate selection. Until recently I had never been to Weis but the pandemic has me branching out as I grocery shop for others. I must say, I like this store. It is bright and clean and doesn't seem to ever be busy. The deli employees are friendly and accommodating. I generally visit the deli for prosciutto - something that can sometimes be hard to find, much to my surprise. The prices seem reasonable and the parking lot is manageable. The parking lot, cart corrals, and entrance were clean and welcoming. Pretty standard Weis Market in a busy location. The store clerk was friendly and helpful at checkout. Evidently if you buy 12 gallons of water and "skip bagging" it triggers a warning and it causes you to pause and wait for an employee. What can i say it's just another Weis. This store felt different compared to other Weis though. Most of the food especially in the fruit and vegetable area as well as meats were already expired and looked nowhere near fresh. The food bar and sushi area did not look nowhere near inviting. The food looked like it was dried out and had been sitting there all day under the heat lamps. The store had stuff on the floor as as well as some cardboard displays knocked over with employees just walking by them. The employees were very friendly & helpful. But I can't see shopping at this store again. The main downfall is the prices. 80% of the entire store is overpriced. Weis you have to be competitive in this day and age. Most of the stuff here was almost double the price of regular grocery stores and nowhere near Wal-Mart's lower pricing. Lastly when you first walk inside the store entrance. Weird selections of items. Which can be a good thing as other stores don't carry these brands. The freezer section is weird. They freeze meats. Must not sell them fast enough. Deli section usually has near expired items. Don't think they sell a lot of stuff here. Produce section is hit or miss usually miss with not fresh enough items. This place has such a weird layout. Of all the markets in the area, I usually shop at Aldi because they're the cheapest. I wanted to try this place though, because I have also tried Food Lion, Shoppers, Shoprite, and Giant. This market seemed more void of customers than the others, but that might be because it is a bit more hidden in this shopping mall. I understand that self-service checkouts have their place in this industry. They can be very useful for the time conscious, and I do understand that it does save some level of labor whereas one person can handle up to four checkouts. This is now my third time here we're there has not been a human cashier available anywhere in the store during a fairly busy time. If you want any type of personalized service, literally any other grocery store in the area still employs cashiers. It's unfortunate cuz I do really like the product selection in this store, a much better natural and organic section than most, but not worth the lack of service with so many other places to choose from. Will not be back until they fixed the customer service issue. read more

I enjoy shopping here mostly for the fish department,. fish is fresh and John is always friendly and knowledgeable of all the fish he sells. I must admit i now only run in for a few groceries not full shopping since like i used to. Once they did away with all their live checkers and put in all automatic ones it's highly inconvenient for customers who are doing weekly shopping . This place has done away with human cashiers for the most part. Their self-checkout machines are slow. Today, every time I scanned an item and put it in the bag, it told me to place it in the bag area even though I already put the item in the bag. Every time. Then it froze and I had to reset the transaction. A store employee had to reset the transaction several times, too. It took me twice as long to check out than a normal checkout experience would take. I used to love shopping there, but NEVER again. This was an incredibly stupid mistake on their part. read more

Literally the worst grocery store around, lazy and rude employees. While the employees have no regard for customers by cutting in front of customers who have been waiting in line to check themselves out, employees standing around talking to each other while the lights are going off of customers needing help as they have no cashiers anyone, to the bare shelves... would recommend going to Walmart next. read more

I like to shop at Weis because the store is always clean and well stocked. Tuesday is 10% off for Senior Citizens when you purchase Weis brands. I was in the store yesterday and was assisted by the cashier who was very nice to make sure I understood how to use my points. Feeling tired with a full cart I was pleasantly greeted by the lot attendant Tyrone who placed all my bags in my car. It was a hot muggy day. He did it with a big smile. Thank you Tyrone. Not my normal stop, just stopped in to grab a few things when I was in the area. The building next door is under construction, whether it's going up or coming down I'm not sure, but it makes the parking lot and getting in a out a mess. The store itself was well lit, well stocked and very clean. I bought steak, potatoes, seafood, asparagus and seasoning. I have been going to this store for atleast 4 years. Over the past month, I go there twice a week during the week, and there has been no cashiers. This can be very inconvenient, especially for those with a large amount of items. To make matters worse, the employees are standing around scrolling on their phones while we do their job for them. The only ones that are doing any work there, and they work hard, are those stocking shelves, those that work in the deli, those that work in the meat and seafood department, those working in customer service and of course, the cart retrievers who suffer endlessly in all weather conditions. Slowly this can push customers away from shopping there. Food Lion you get in and out, as they have numerous cashiers. We are not trained to be a cashier, so it takes the consumer longer to scan and bag items. And of course if there is a problem, you have to flag down someone to come and fix it. It is beyond me why they have so many employees doing nothing but standing around looking at their cell phones. read more

This Weis is FABULOUS! in my opinion Weis is the Cadillac of grocery stores..ITS ABSOLUTELY HUGE! I've never gotten out before 2+ hrs. The seafood section is super fresh, no seafood smells, prices are GREAT. The bakery is the same. WONDERFUL, fresh, well stocked & baking for most items is done at site. If you're looking for "exotic" fresh produce this store will be your best friend...and the OTC Pharmacy stock is extensive..if Weis dosent have the item you're looking for then NOBODY else will have said item(s). I really can say this store is a JOY to shop at, & prices are very fair. My ONLY drawback is I suffer with M.S. & the chronic bad pain that goes along with the severe fatigue, I'm not able to go to this store very often since its SO HUGE. I love this store! Place is amazingly clean. Employees are friendly and greet you when you walk in the door. Bakery is fantastic. Everything is fresh. It has some of the best produce I've ever seen. Has a large organic section. Meat is fresh. You can buy prime, grass fed beef at a reasonable price. Love the meat sales when you can buy one, get two free. Best Flippin Produce Department around! Love this Store! The produce manager, John, knows his stuff and runs a great department. Actually I can say a great deal about each dept. mgr I have dealt with.... So far; Deli and Seafood. The deli mgr went out of her way to explain to me why their products were superior to the local competitors...Her product knowledge is superior! I have never walked the aisles and not had an employee ask if I needed help finding something. I feel bad, 'cause when I say yes; they stop what they are doing and walk me to the item. Hell, even John the produce mgr will walk you across the store to find a product. I'd be happy if they just pointed! read more

I have been here at least 20 times and each time it has been a pleasant experience. The staff and management are so nice and friendly. It's obvious to me that the staff enjoys working there and communicating with the customers. I'm also very pleased with their sliced roast beef from the deli counter. I also recommend the black pepper cheese. It's addicting. I have been shopping here since October 2013 and will continue doing so. Grocery shopping isn't my favorite chore, but it's certainly a more enjoyable experience at this particular store. I hope to see you there. I'm the one wearing the baseball hat. Because of its prime location, I can stop here and at a few other local stores to grab whatever I need for the week. They mostly have everything I need, even when it is extremely specialized. Often times their sales are amazing, especially if you catch them at the right time. I do have a few complaints, however... Pay attention to your receipt. This is a good general rule, but there have been several times where I was supposed to receive a deal but it did not ring up correctly. As long as I spot it I point it out, but some times I miss things. On a few occasions I've mentioned that they should update the computers so other customers are rung up correctly. This is usually just shrugged off, which tells me they don't really care all that much about honoring their sale prices. My other issue with this location is with one of the stock people. I often go mid-afternoon on Sundays. Usually around the cheese/yogurt section there is a man stocking the shelves. One more than one occasion I've seen him drop a few items and start cursing up a storm. I understand a small slip can happen here and there, but this is much, much worse than that. I almost wanted to say something, but didn't want to get the person in trouble. read more

I love this store. Checkout process is always easy- there always seems to be enough registers open. Selection of food is great and their produce is the best I've seen in the area. My produce lasts long and doesn't rot quickly like some other grocery chains I won't mention. Prices are little higher for certain items but they have great sales and they even offer double coupons up to $1.vThis is the only store that carries my family's favorite salsa, too. The manager was extremely nice. However, I asked customer service to check on the sales for sodas. The customer service rep was extremely lazy and seemed annoyed. I questioned his customer service skills because of his mediocre attitude and he actually cursed me out saying "f*** you." The manager came to resolve this issue and was nice about it and solved my issue with the sodas. I seriously questioned the sobriety of this customer service rep. I normally shop here every Friday after getting the children off to school. From time to time I will stop in thru the week if i have to pick up odds & ends just because I know the layout plus i coupon shop and I seem to get the best bang for my buck here. Well here lately I have been encountered by an older cashier white lady with a long gray ponytail that just always always seems to give me a hard time. Most things I dont take personal I just try to avoid situations respect my elders and keep it moving. Well last night she made it a point to try and make it seem like I was doing something fraudulent and got rather rude with me. I did have my teenage child with me so rather put on a scene in the store with here I let her be right and and carried on with my transaction. Needless to say I spend hundreds of dollars a week in this store and I pay cash NOT FOODSTAMPS and I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT ABUSE COUPONS after last night I will not be returning to this store when I live across the street from a Giant there is a Shoppers across the street from this store and a Super Walmart in the same parking lot with way cheaper prices I will be taking my business elsewhere they just lost a loyal customer due to there employees ignorance. read more
