I don't know how this pharmacy is even still open. Pharmacy manager has no idea what medication they even have in stock. Was told they have the medication that I needed and I could pick up the following day. Then the day of pickup I get notified that they don't have it in stock. Now I have to scramble to find it. Some of us require these medications and they could care less what information they hand out. read more

My 77yr old mother went into this store around 2p on her birthday [Christmas day], as we do every other day to purchase a pack of cigarettes. Damion, the usual employee was at the register and was as dry, non friendly as he always is denied my mother a pack of cigarettes because she didn't have her ID. She always has it, but just a few hours prior to going in there she lost her wallet at the movie theater. He would not sell her the cigarettes because of the policy...REALLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY, on her 77th birthday you would deny a sickly woman some cigarettes!?!?!?!!?!?!! He is a special kind of MISERABLE!!!!!!!! I drive to the store and present my ID and paid for other items and... I ask for the cigarettes and he says "I won't sell them to you because they're for her". WHAT THE F!?!?!?!!??!!?!!? You HAVE to serve as the patron if I have valid ID. Hmmm...he says "if there isn't anything else I can help you with you can leave the store". Hmmm... I explain the situation and raised my voice and then he says "if you aren't going to leave I will call the police" and I said as you should. My elderly mom and I waited 20mins for the Anne arundel police dept to arrive and they explained any establishment can refuse service for any reason. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you need a prescription in a hurry do not use this walgreens. I visited my doctor in early morning. She sent via fax 2 prescriptions. The app told me they wouldn't be available until 6PM. I called this pharmacy asking if they could be filled earlier because of the extreme pain I was experiencing. I was told "NO" with no explanation. Additionally, if I have to utilize the drive thru I need to plan for a long wait. Also, the phone line is not working again. There is never enough staff. Wait times are crazy. read more

This used to be a fast and efficient pharmacy. This is the 3rd time I have came to pick up a prescription at least an hour after it was supposed to be ready only to wait in the drive-through line for 30 minutes and get to the window for them to tell me it has not been filled yet. They then asked me to come back in five minutes and get out of line. So now I have to get back in line behind six more cars taking another 30 to 45 minutes. This is totally unacceptable. When I walked in to drop the prescription off,there were people in the waiting area who had been waiting 2 to 3 hours for a prescription. I'm not sure what has happened to this location but clearly there is an issue and needs to be investigated. read more

Nope. Just can't deal with this place anymore. They give me a 15 min wait time. I sit in the parking lot where they can see me like that asked me too & wait with my sick cranky kid and my other 2 kids and we wait. & wait & wait. 1.5 hrs later, um can you come back later please? Are you kidding me?! My kids are sick-tired- hungry- and now all 3 have to use the bathroom because I went IN the store to get them juice & a snack. So I spent money unnecessarily in the store while I waited, only to receive a phone call hours later saying the insurance doesn't cover the medication it was like almost $100 or so out of pocket for it. Alllllll day I wasted trying to get his prescription filled, only to have no medicine for him until CVS could fill it. And now this latest go round my child needs amoxicillin- a very standard medicine for sick kids. I hand over the script and insurance card she tells me it'll be ready after 3. ... 3 hours to pull a ready made bottle from your fridge ? Okay fine whatever. Dumb- but workable for my schedule today. Only to receive yet another phone call after I've left saying they don't take the insurance at all. BCBS. One of the most known and used insurances and you don't take it? And what you didn't know that when you took my insurance card that you don't take that insurance??!!! I had to pay out of pocket for two different prescriptions. I called several Glen Burnie pharmacies and noticed Walgreens's consistently charges three times greater than any other local establishment. They have a savings card that costs $20/year but didn't make a difference in the price of the meds not covered by insurance. I won't go back. One of the worst pharmacies I've been to. I usually go to CVS, but I came here because CVS didn't have my prescription in stock right now. I dropped a prescription off last night only to be told "they didn't have any record of my prescription on file". After 15 minutes of searching they finally found it. I dropped it off at 9:30 PM yesterday, it is now 2:00 PM the next day and it is still not filled. Also, I'm not sure if they are short staffed or not, but they are very slow and the lady copped an attitude with me in general. I stood in line for 20 minutes with 4 other people before anyone acknowledged us. She was too busy helping everyone in the drive thru. If you have two lines of people, both in store and the drive thru, you should alternate between lines. Very poor service at this location, I do NOT recommend getting your prescriptions filled here. read more

This past Thursday, I called numerous stores in search of a thermometer. With Covid-19 about I started to become a little nervous that I don't own a thermometer. After visiting a few stores and calling many more, a pleasant woman answered the phone at the Walgreens a 6700 Ritchie Highway. I drive a good distance to get to the store, excited that I had finally found what I was looking for. I get there and go to grab a few items that I need. There is a sign by the register and one on the front door to stay at least 6 feet away from other patrons. I go to get Mucinex but there are several employees in the aisle so I didn't bother. I found some Mr. Clean antibacterial, luckily I find the Mucinex on an end cap, and I head to the register. I go the registers and I ask the cashier about the thermometer that they had offered to hold for me. She doesn't know anything about it and tells me that they are all sold out of thermometers. She calls her Manager who also has no knowledge of my thermometer. She seems apologetic which is great, except I drove a long distance to potentially expose myself to sick people to buy something that wasn't there. We find the Associate who supposedly put my thermometer on hold "behind a register" but she said she went back to the work and didn't care. It just sucked. I'm nervous anyways about getting sick. I wouldn't have left my house if I knew they didn't have it. read more

Sometimes I'm embarrassed by how often I'm in this store, but what can I say, it's my Walgreens. I don't know the associates by name, however I'm always greeted and there's a look that says, "Back already?" I'll admit to being a cosmetic/beauty junkie and Walgreens is my supplier. i was in there when a couple came in stating their som and daughter was just diagnosed with covid19 and they were around them now this was in the pharmacy not one staff member or pharmacist said anything the whole time this women is at the counter touching stuff along with her husband walking through the store picking up items putting them back there was an elderly man in front of me he turned at me and gave me the did you hear that look he walked up to the counter and asked how come those dummies didnt use the drive through instead coming in the store knowing they can spread it i kindly said spread what?? he said covid-19 the lady just said her kids tested positive and thats when i turned around and she comes and sits in the chairs which arent 6 ft distance i asked her she said yes i asked her has she and her husband been exposed in the last 48 she answer yes we have but my doctor said i dont need to be tested i kindly backup out of line to leave i see a manager on the way out and express my concern he said we cant assume i said assume that she didnt just tell everyone in the back they been exposed are you concerned for your staff safety he said we dont know i said go back there both of them are still there i said now if i walked in here without a masks would you tell me i had to exit the store without one he said yes so teo people can say ive been exposed and supposedly be quarantined at home but feel fine so im going to shop i said you have four staff members who said she needs to go when she yelled it so whoever touches anything she or her husband did can be at risk he just kept saying we cant assume it wasnt so much as my safety but how he didnt even care about the store or staff there they needed to shut that whole store down you dam right health department was called and the supervisor for that location just expressed they were in there on their break and didnt sound to happy read more

I frequent this particular Walgreens quite often and normally I don't have any issues except for one employee and she happened to be there this afternoon when I stopped in. I noticed her outside smoking (gross) and she grabbed a cart and started pushing it in - as she jammed the cart in through the door, she called someone who was leaving "bitch". Then she put out her cigarette and proceeded to cram the cart into the rest of them with quite a bit of force. I noticed then that there was a line of about four customers at the checkout counter - and they were waiting on her to finish her cigarette outside. When I got my items and stood in line she did not acknowledge a single customer except to say how much they owed. She also did a couple of hacking coughs mid checkout for the gentleman in front of me. As I checked out, she complained to a woman behind me that she had to work five days in a row and wasn't going to stay late again. This is an older woman with thinning hair and a hacking cough. I would suggest they offer her a course in customer service as soon as possible. read more

I have used this Walgreens to fill my family's prescriptions for the past three years, and I am seriously considering switching pharmacies. If you drop off a prescription, they'll tell you it won't be ready for at least two hours. If you wait for it, expect to hang out there for about a half hour to forty-five minutes. The pharmacy staff can be exceptionally rude, as can other staff. Yesterday I tried to refill my prescription using the automated service, but the options weren't putting me through to the correct place. The photo manager tried to transfer me to the pharmacy, but I called back because they weren't picking up, and he said, "Well what do you want me to do about it?" No one seems to care about your needs. I strongly suggest the CVS a little farther down Ritchie or the Rite Aid at the corner of Ritchie and 648, and that's where I'm going the next time I get a script from my doctor. read more

I usually visit this local Walgreens often, at least once a week when getting off work late at night. Tonight I had a horrible visit when I was going to check out the cashier "Dominic" was very rude and disrespectful !! I went into walgreen and saw a dress that I liked and wanted to make sure it fit so I tried it on ontop of my clothing I had on. When I got to the register to pay for my things she got really nasty with me, I defended myself and she told me " you can ring yourself up!" I then asked to call the manager and her responded with "I'm not calling anyone!" Needless to say I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for the manager to come out and I explained to him that his employee was very disrespectful and unprofessional and refused to ring me up, so he did but did not address the problem.
